"Sounds nice."
Muja was once a wanderer. At times it got lonely, but mostly it was free and spontaneous. She kind of missed that lifestyle, but living in one place did have its benefits.
"So where will your journey take you next?"

"I don't know." he replied. "Hard to tell where life leads you."

"Very true."
Muja said, leaving it at that. She slowly started to walk in the direction toward the village, knowing (or hoping) that he would follow. She felt the sand between her toes as she made her way across the beach.

Muja turned around 10 feet from Jas and saw him standing there.
"I guess this is where we part ways."
The wind started to pick up again, tousling her hair once again.

"Yes?"
Muja smiled in spite of herself. Today has been full of surprises.

"I know how that is."
Muja beckoned for him to follow her.
"Come, it's getting dark. This town isn't the friendliest place at night."

"Right." *But as they near the town Jas stops* (I can't go in with my wings out.) he thought. (I've been mistaken for an angel one too many times) *His eyes close as he focuses, his wings lightly glowing before shrinking into his back*

"Yeah those might have stood out a little."
Muja smiled and led him onto the main street. They walked a few hundred yards until they came to the Dragon's Fire Pub & Motel.
"This and the Traveler's Haven are the two good motels. The other smaller ones are just trying to cheat you of your money."

*Soon his wings dissapear, giving him somewhat a human appearance. His hair and eyes could pass for as a genetic trait* "Thanks for the info." he said. "I just hope there's any rooms open."

"Between this one and the other one, there's bound to be a room."
Muja walked into the crowded pub and slowly led Jas to the stairs that go to the motel. On the way, a man steps in front of her, breathing in her face.
"Hey there, looking mighty fine tonight."
Muja sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Jeb, I told you a million years ago that I'm not interested. I don't date drunks, anyway."
He laughed and gritted his teeth.
"I'm not taking no for an answer this time."
Muja pushed him into the wall and let him slide down to the floor, where she pushed her heel on his chest.
"Stay on the floor where you belong, you dirty pig."
Jeb was too drunk to move, so he sat there and looked hazily at her and at Jas.
"Who's this new guy? You seein him now? Huh?"
Muja took Jas's hand and stepped away from Jeb, leading him toward the stairs once again. Jeb's shouts could still be heard over the usual din of the bar.
Idiot...

"One reason why I hate drunks." Jas said. "They don't always want to listen to anything but what goes on in their head."

"That's a good way to put it."
Muja led him up the stairs, taking away her hand from his and opened the door into the inn.
"Got any rooms?"
The innkeeper looked tired and bored as he looked up at them. Without a word, he consulted his sheet.
"Yeah, just two left. You're in luck tonight, kiddos."
He raised his eyebrows suggestively and winked at them. Crossing her arms, Muja glared at him and rolled her eyes.
