(OOC- Nemorah here with my original, and missed, character. Anyone can post with me!)
The last of the sun's rays lingered on the beach, catching the bits of shells and glass on the sand. Muja sat halfway between the ocean and the boardwalk, feeling very much distant from the world. The serene goodbye of the bright, yellow star, and the rhythmic flowing of the tides lulled her into a semi-meditative state. This was the very beach she had washed up on many moons ago.
The wind gently tousled playfully with her hair, sending strands gliding across her pensive face. Her eyes remained closed, her barrier to the last of the glaring sunlight. Pretty soon it would be twilight, and the beach would become dangerous. She had about 15 minutes before then, and she was milking it for all it was worth.
The call of a seabird aroused her and opened her eyes. She looked around to find a large bird standing a few feet from her. It regarded her suspiciously, since she had not moved in a long time. She chuckled slightly, the slight movement of her chest sending the bird into the air with alarm.
The salty, sweet smell of the ocean permeated through the air, along with pollen and crabs from a nearby seafood restaurant. Muja had not been happy for a long time, but she was savoring this moment completely. She generally felt incomplete, lost, unsure of her place in this world. But tonight was perfect, peaceful, calm. Nothing could go wrong...right?

Muja glanced up, a bit confused, and nodded. The sound of a voice was strange in the calm silence she was in. She hadn't heard a voice in a couple of hours.
"Yes, are you doing the same?"

"Yes I am." Jas replied, landing down next to her, his wings tucking closely to his back. "Helps me to remember some of the good times I had in the past."

(OOC- So sorry lol)
Muja accepted this winged stranger's companionship for the moment, but was a little weary and suspicious, as always. In this world, no one can be trusted.
"Good and bad for me. This sunset is very nice and I think of nice memories, yet I also am reminded of when times weren't so great."
Kind of like they are now.
Muja thought darkly, biting her lip as she looked back out at the ever-falling sun.

=He hears the tone in her voice, knowing she was supicious of him as he sat down. He thinks back to his days at Balamb Garden, meeting his first friends, and his first love before they cruely taken from him= (Hana...) He thought, not knowing he also said the name in a low whisper.

"What was that?"
Muja inquired, sensing that he was bitter about something. The sun was just at the tip of the horizon by now, shooting its last rays of light across the ocean. A seabird swooped, its form outlined by the red-orange sky behind it.

"Huh? Oh, just the name of a girl I knew." he replied. "And loved before she died..."

Muja didn't expect such a blunt answer, and did not know what to say in return. She avoided his face and glanced at the sun, now one thin streak across the ocean. The topic of death always brought silence to a conversation.

"Sprry." Jas said. "I shouldn't of said something like that, must of brought back something painful for you."

Muja looked at him.
"Oh, no. You didn't say anything wrong."
It did bring up memories of her parents, but they deserved to die. That was long ago, time has helped heal some of the scars.
"I'm sorry about her."

(OOC- is that the new Linkin Park single?)
Muja nodded and looked away at the darkening sky. She could see faint outlines of stars appearing right above her head, and the moon's sliver could be glimpsed through a small cloud. The world was settling down for the night, all except for the tide. She knew high tide would come later, and that where they were sitting would be wet.
"What...happened exactly?"
She asked, wondering why she was even asking in the first place.

(OOC-Yep)
"Me, her and three others were trying to stop this threat from getting an ancient artifact. That threat's name was Nu. After he gotten it despite our best efforts to prevent it, he turned his attention to us. He easily defeated me, but didn't kill me. Instead, he imprisoned me just make me watch as he killed the others infront of me, just to torment me. *His eyes closed as a single tear started to fall as he recalls that event* First Ashton and his partner Nightwolf were killed, then Andrea. Danny was next after he attacked Nu in a rage when Andrea died. Hana was the last. Despite all the trainning she went through to control her magic, she didn't stand a chance, he ran her through her heart." *More tears were starting to fall* "And all I could do was watch, no matter how hard I tried to free myself!"

(OOC- Oh, I haven't heard it yet. They used to be my favorite band and I've been waiting for their new album for like 3 years now lol. Hopefully this new one will be good.)
Muja averted her eyes and felt a strong compulsion to lay her hand on his arm for comfort, but did not do so. She didn't know him, and although his story was heartbreaking, it would be too strange. All she could do was nod and try to show him her sympathy.
"I'm sorry."
She whispered, glancing back at his face, before looking out into the twilight sky.

(OOC- Their new CD, Mintues to Midnight, should be out sometime this month.)
*Jas dries his tears before standing up, seeing as the tide was coming closer to them before offering a hand to Muja to help her to her feet*
"Tide's coming in."

(OOC- Seriously? Where have I been? lol. I haven't heard that at all. Thanks!!!)
Muja took his hand and just avoided the water.
"Thanks, I didn't see that."
She removed her hand after she was standing up. She noticed her knees felt stiff since she had been in one position for a long time. She locked her knees and stretched for a second, feeling her knees and back popping.
"Do you live near here?"
Muja asked, looking at him as she folded her arms in front of her.

"Oh, do you need to be getting back then?"
Muja looked at him and kept her gaze, waiting for his response. The wind slowed down a little and her hair finally got some rest.
