The once destroyed facility has now been rebuilt and renovated and now, instead of its original purpose of magic and metaphysical understanding it is now the home of scientific study and research, owned by Triceutical Inc.
Its outside is made to hide within the swells and waves, hidden by eyes from the sea and air so that its projects can go uninterrupted and far from the eyes of competitors and governments. A miracle of modern science.
The Microbial docks with the facility, pulling along side its clandestine dock to the waiting workers, men in suits, and a few scientists. Miss Bardi already stands on deck, near the gangway, waiting for the vessel to finally dock and allow passage 'ashore'. Inside the yacht, a chime and call from the intercom system exclaims that they have come to dock and all going ashore meet on deck.

Jyo hadn't been able to sleep the previous night, a little more than he had expected had come his way, but he was now more determined to see things through. Getting dressed into the crisp blue suit, Jyo combed his hair back and headed out of his room when the announcement came over the intercom.
He was soon at the gangway where Sina was already standing, this wasn't a surprise. Jyo walked over and stood a few feet behind her and to her left. "Impressive bit of machinery. It must be rather sturdy to be able to handle being in the ocean like this." He said. His tone was a little more flat and monotonous at the moment, he still wasn't in the best of moods.

"You can thank years of planning and Esthar technology." She turns to meet Jyo, still appearing to be under the weight of a thousand questions and concerns. "You interested to have a tour? It's quite impressive, even by Esthar standards."
On the dock, the ones waiting appear annoyed by the time it takes to tie the vessel up. Bored they wait, wanting for whatever that wasn't this, they breathe a sigh of relief as the crew finally clear the vessel for departure. "Shall we, Green-Eyes?" Sinia takes Jyo's arm, her touch different then what she excreted in the previous night. She forced back her old self, though no matter how hard she tries, there still lingers that pain and fear.

"I think a tour would be most interesting.it's still going to take a little while before this all becomes something I'm used to.' He replied as Sinia took his arm. He kept the hand in his pocket, but stepped forward to stand by Sinia.
"So what is Ethsar? I'm still learning here." He said as he started to let himself appear more relaxed and clam as he normally acted. Jyo was simply still having to deal with some changes, though he was adapting well. For now he would just go along with things.

"Why the most advanced city-state in all the known worlds." Replies Sinia with a slight smile, looking to him with light-hearted eyes, "Where my headquarters is located, best place in the world for doing any technological or biological research."
She guides him down the ramp, arm in arm, till she is flanked by the suits and scientists, garnering for her attention about various papers and projects, dashing out a slurry of questions. Sinia appears to take their questions in stride, shooing away those that do not need her attention and addressing those she finds worthy. One particular scientist draws her attention for a long moment, having her fill out some paperwork. Unlike the others, this scientists coat has embroidered with what looks like a molecule and the word 'Bio-Cell'. She signs the papers and sends him, and the rest on their way.
Another man, dressed in a white lab coat and glasses, sporting a beard comes to the dock. Dr. Wallace she address him.
"Miss Bardi," He says, "What a pleasant surprise."
"Mr Wallace, I hope everything is running smoothly?" "Yes ma'am, here to inspect I assume?" "You assume correctly," She motions to Jyo, "This is my entourage, Jyo and you already know Kane." In the back Kane stomps down the gangway. "They'll be accompany me today. There is also another two on board who have yet to wake, if they are interested, I hope in the interest of learning and studies, that you or one of the representatives will give them a tour of the facility as well, as per my request." Mr. Wallace nods, "But of course, please this way." He motions to have the follow inside, through the large blast doors that connect to the dock and the elevator on the otherside.
Sinia, while Mr.Wallace is busy walking away, turns to Jyo to whisper. "I hope you stay with me longer, I'll be needing you more then ever. I can explain more later... last night was just... you understand?"

Jyo watched the flurry of work around them as he and Sinia walked toward the facility. Many of the things being said were lost on him, though he did notice which ones Sinia was paying attention to.
Then Sinia was approached by a scientist that seemed to hold her interest more than others. he didn't pry into what they were going over, bit he didn't fail to notice the slightly different design on the mans jacket, and odd symbol and 'Bio-cell'. Not having a reference point to work off of, he didn't know what to make of it aside from the fact the person seemed to be in a specialized field.
Jyo gave a nod as Sinia introduced him to Dr Wallace, Sinia explained that Augustus and Ierys might be joining them later and as the doctor left she whispered to Jyo. "I've no idea where to go next, so I see no reason not to to stay for a while." He said matching the whisper. "As for last night, well everyone can't be at their best form at all time." He added while still keeping his voice low.

"Thanks for your understanding."
The three arrive at the large service elevator that will send them shooting down inside the facility. Dr. Wallace uses a odd looking key and presses a button and the elevator starts up and begins to lower down into the depths of the facility.
"Miss Bardi, you'll be happy to note that our accident rate is down 7% this quarter and production is up another 4%. We've also completed ahead of schedule 'Project Sunshine' and just awaits your approval." Dr. Wallace goes onto explain, droning on about various aspects of the facility that only partially interests Sinia.
After a short trip, the elevator comes to a stop and the large doors open to reveal a sterile environment of labs, artificial lights, and the scurrying of scientists and lab personnel. The long hall before them stretches on, flanked by all these sights. Dr. Wallace exits first, motioning for the other two to follow.
"Well, let us." Sinia states. "Don't mind the technical details, just take in the sights of the modern age of medicine." She chuckles with a playful smirk. "This, is the next stage of evolution and you get a first hand look at it."

Jyo gave a small nod at Sinia's thanks before they reached the elevator. Once inside the doctor starts explaining some aspects of how at least a little of the facility' running has been progressing. Then something about a project being completed early.
The elevator stopped and they walked into a collection of labs and activity. Jyo wasn't really overwhelmed, but he certainly was close to stunned. Sinia mentioned he shouldn't worry about some of the finer point. "Well to be honest, the details are often interesting, but I don't quite have the technical knowhow to get all of it." he said with a small shrug and a smile.

"Tell you the truth," she whispers, "A lot of it is lost on me too." She chuckles. "But that's why they're here and I'm in the office, nodding like a proper puppet should." She smirks at her little aside, factious as it was.
The stale lit hallway with its many windows staring into labs and facilities paint a picture of a facility well at work. Vats, machines, people in strange clothes and suits, pipes going this way and that. Unusual sounds and peculiar smells permeate through the vents from labs unknown, yet its all stale in some way.
"As you can see, we pride ourselves in keeping this facility above and beyond the basic standards of Triceutical. I hope it meets your approval Miss Bardi."
Sinia nods, giving him just a moment of her time. "Yes, it's all well and good. Has there been any progress in Project: RRR?"
Dr. Wallace stumbles for a moment in his speaking as he figures out how best to answer it. "Well, yes, but under the current time constraints, our people are running at double-shifts and it's starting to wear..."
"Fine, then I'll see about moving some of our research personnel from Esthar to here, if that will help."
Dr. Wallace lights up. "Yes, yes! That would be excellent, some of us haven't slept in three days, anything to alleviate the work load would be welcomed."
"Considered it done." She waves hims off with a flick of his hand. "Can you go retreive more of the vials for me. I'd like a moment to observe private."
"Yes, ma'am." With that, Dr. Wallace walks off.
Sinia rolls her eyes. "Underlings, won't stop jabbering on and on hoping for an ounce of approval from me. Frustrating and just not in the mood. Jyo..." She turns to him, serious and truthful. "About last night, I understand you did your best and it's... quite the miracle you survived." She sighs ever so slightly. "Amazed any of us survived."

jyo watched the labs as they passed by and took in every detail that he could as they went by. He was somewhat glad to hear that Sinia was almost as lost as he was. She probably got he basic outline of what was being developed and had a good business mind better suited to running it all rather than directly overseeing it.
Then Sinia mentioned something about a Progect. It caught the scientist off guard and he gave a somewhat obscure, yet informative response. Sinia clearly didn't want knowledge of the project out in the open, at least around him or outsiders in general.
Sinia sent the doctor away and they were alone for at least what would be a few moments. Then Sinia spoke to him, about the previous night. He barely showed a reaction. "Don't mention it. We had a close call, it's happens from time to time when you go out into the world. Unless there is something I need to know about." He said as he raised an eyebrow.

"I suppose you do." Sinia states, her eyes carefully aware of anyone nearby that may overhear them. She takes a moment to turn towards one of the observation windows, to gaze at the sights beyond. A simple lab, filled with fluid lined tanks and a number of odds and ends relating to them. "Last night I believe an old colleague of mine came to visit." She sighs for a moment, taking in her thoughts and sorting through them to find the right words. "There was five of us, five idealists. Each a piece of the greater puzzle that was to be a better world. However, there was one among us who saw it differently."
She ponders for a moment, reflecting with nostalgia, both bad and good. "It's been nearly twenty years since it happened, when the five of us had the worlds at our finger-tips and it was quickly ripped away because of that one. I raised him you know?" She states rhetorically, looking over to him. "I found him in the wilds, a beautiful specimen, the perfect predator. So graceful, so feral, so... gorgeous. I took him away from there, taught him the arts of speech, society and the finer points of warfare. Oh how he could speak so eloquently then, his voice held such an angelic, wispy power - like a seraph. Comforting... and deadly." She speaks on it like a lost love or child, dream-like. "But, he was rebellious and fled. You can take them out of the jungle but not the jungle out of them, the 'eloquent savage' I suppose."
She turns around and rests her back against the glass, arms folded infront of her. "But he came back, back with others that sought to push their own ideals upon us. His silver tongue tricked them to take revenge on us under the guise that we were plotting against the world - completely fallacious in nature. But, he was a powerful creature, and so were the ones with him." She chokes up. "And... and I had to kill him. I used what I had at my disposal... He died on the shores of Burmecia. Though, even with his presumed death, the others continued to fight till only I remained, broken and beaten." She raises her hand in a fist to her lips and bites her knuckle. "I thought I could start over... then last night happened. The hair... my gods the hair... only he could control such a weapon. So deadly, so simple... like a spider's silk that he controlled with unwavering finesse. It can only be him, back from the grave to finish what he started..."

Jyo listened with a neutral expression on his face, though his eyes let in on the fact that he was absorbing all of what was being said. Jyo didn't much like what he was hearing, it didn't sound like this trip was going to end very pleasantly.
His left hand came up to rest on Sinia's shoulder while giving a gentle squeeze. "That must make this a very trying ordeal for you to face, but as I have to one day face the reason for my existence, perhaps this is your defining point in life." He said softly. Being comforting wasn't Jyo's greatest strength. "While I'm glad to help, I want to know why is it you need me for this? you've defeated this person once already, what is it I have that would make you have a need for my assistance?" He asked curiously.

She laughs lightly, amused really. "Because... he's the most dangerous thing I've ever seen. I defeated him by pure luck... I got the jump on him while he was alone and blissfully unaware. He won't let that happen again. I'm his prey now, he won't give up until he clenches his teeth into my neck and tears away my belly with his claws."
She places a hand atop Jyo's that rests on her shoulder. "Tell me Green-Eyes, was his voice still angelically eloquent? Did he speak to you, what did he say?" Her voice sounds pleading, as if begging for word from a deceased loved one. She meant what she asked, truly wishing to know of his voice and words. "It's strange, even with the malice he holds for me, I can't feel the same for him... I raised him in a way. He's like a son I never had..."

Jyo gave a slow shake of his head. "It was thick, an accent I didn't recognize. But it was a calm collected voice, with an odd rhythm to it. Some may describe it as you have, I'm not one to judge such things." He said keeping his voice soft.
"Despite you simply beating him by chance as you've said, why would you need me? Is there no one else that could be better suited to your needs? I barely survived my encounter last night, and that was because my quarry was trying to escape, if he focused on killing me, I have the feeling he could have done it." He said.

Jyo's statement completely throws Sinia for a perplexed loop. "Accent?" She states dumbfounded. "He had no accent... Simon never had an accent, he spoke like you or I." Looking away for a moment, she lets this new knowledge sink in with uncertainty. "I... I suppose since what I thought killed him... could that have changed his speech?" She asks herself. "Perhaps." She turns back to him, curiosity in her eyes as she analysis the situation. "There were a few things different about how he operated last night, that I'll admit, threw me at first."
She takes a moment, looking back at the lab facilities. "An explosive, the smoke, that fact he didn't try to outright kill me then. It's not something he normally would do, he was far more direct. Liked the taste of blood and meat, get his hands into his work. You think someone could of changed over twenty years that much?" She rustles the fur of her chin with two fingers. "Was there anything else he said or did that showed behavioral patterns, even if it appeared unimportant to you."

Jyo looked thoughtful for a moment before giving a small shrug. "Well I'm standing here as proof to how much a person can change. When I first arrived, things like car driving by was totally surprising to me. Now I've deduced some of the basic workings of that Virtual Reality simulator with little difficulty and show more fascination with technology than astonishment." He said as his tone became thoughtful.
"Now I also understand some of the business techniques you speak of, and when I got here it was like a new language. And this has only been a couple of days. So yes, I believe that in twenty years, that a person could completely change from who they once were." He said.
"As for anything else I noticed... He was calm, collected. Very sure of himself. A somewhat taunting aspect to him, though he seemed the type to give a person a chance to stay out of things unless they were his target. I didn't get to see much of what he was like." He said as his hands clasped behind his back.
"Now I'm not going going to answer any other questions until you tell me why you mentioned you need me more than you did before." He said.

"I do suppose-" She says with a nod. "People can change, but no matter how much we change, we cannot escape what we once were." With a slight move over her hand, shes slides back a strand of her hair from over her eye. "My standing here is proof to that." She says with a subtle snark in her voice.
She begins to walk further down the long hall, towards a room at the very end. She beacons for Jyo to follow with her, "Come, have something to show you." She states as she leads him away. They come a sealed door, marked with random numbers and words and beside it is a little device. Sinia takes from her coat a small, plastic card and swipes it through a slot on the wall and presses a few buttons prompting the door to open, revealing a different place, or so it would seem. Instead of the stale world behind them, this new place felt warmer and earthy. It was lined with old machines left to rust and decay, a few decorative furnishings that appear old and unkempt. Before them is a large window to the undersea world, showing a multitude of fish and other aquatic life that swim by. Yet, that wasn't the most impressive thing in the room. To the side of the door stood something gigantic and resonating.
There, suspended, nah, part of the wall itself is a giant crystal. It pulsates, as if trying to sing to the two. A powerful force resonates out from beneath its crystalline surface.
"This, Green-Eyes." Sinia goes on to explain. "Was a place Loci himself once used for a brief time. We brought it up from the depths, having been nearly destroyed many, many years ago." She motions to the large crystal, approaching it with reverence. "And this, this here houses one of the most powerful natural forces known, Ultima." She smirks. "We've been able to siphon off a bit of its power to utilize in our research and development, given us the edge on the market.
She stares at it for a moment, looking prideful of her possession, before turning back to Jyo. "As for your earlier question. If this is indeed Simon, I'm going to need everyone I can. Simon is a machine, a literal killing machine that I help create... as the saying goes, 'can the Master's tools Dismantle the Master's House?', I frankly don't want to know the answer to it. With you here, your a part of my 'house' that he didn't count on, a rogue factor. He doesn't know what you're capable of and that's going to make him second guess his next move and perhaps, buy all of us time to prepare for his next move."

Jyo followed Sinia, curious as to what she had to show him. He watched as she opened the door they came to. Once inside he was met by a wonderful view of the ocean, but that wasn't what caught his attention.
Over to the side was a massive crystal that was making an odd, yet pleasing sound. Jyo could almost feel the pulses of power coming from it. He watched enraptured as Sinia explained a little about the crystal.
He looked back after she told him a little more about Simon. "So your plan is to throw our opponent off balance for the time being. Make him reevaluate us before his next move. What are you planning to do with the time we spend preparing?" He asked.

"Quite simply-" Sinia explains. "We return to my headquarters in Esthar. The city is isolated, difficult to find, and my building is well secured. He'd be foolhardy to try and get in, though..." She takes a moment to ponder. "Wouldn't put it past him to try, but that's a road I'll take when I get to it." He humorously chuckles to herself. "Beside, you'd probably find the entire place facinating, it's a lot like... oh what was that city called in Spira? The one that use to be technologically advanced till its fall a millennium ago? Well, it's a lot like what that city must of been like."
From the door where they entered, Dr. Wallace returns with a metal briefcase in hand. "Miss Bardi, here's what you asked for." He approaches and hands her the case, the favor being returned by Sinia with a light pat on the head. "Good boy." She says with a belittling tone. "Now get back to work."
She turned back to Jyo, chuckling. "Green-Eyes, don't be getting too enticed by my crystal. You can look but don't touch."

"That would be Zanarkend you are referring to." He said as he looked back to the ocean scene. "So what would we do when we arrive at Esthar? Is there something there we could use to our own ends, because hiding behind strong walls doesn't sound all that effective to me." He said.
Jyo looked over as a scientist came in handing Sinia a briefcase. Jyo decided not to question it. He had the feeling Sinia would explain it's contents to him in due time if he was going to have anything to do with it.
He looked back to the crystal when Sinia mentioned he shouldn't touch it. He looked over to her again with a raised eyebrow. "And why shouldn't I touch it? Is it just an territorial thing. Or is it something else to do with the power it's linked with?" He asked. He had no plans of going against Sinia's wishes on this, but he was curious.
