"So, Rafee" Asks Vincent as he and the others of his crew stand outside in the marsh, looking up at their beloved ship which is stuck in the mud. Behind it is a trail of displaced mud and reeds in a long skid trail. The entire crew stare at Rafee with murderous expressions, except Miguel who sits on a rock playing with Loci's plushie. "Care to explain how a chicken ended up cause the pistol casing to crack, then the boiler feed to pipe to shatter, then the MSD to reupture, and the drive-tram to strip, finally causing the batteries to explode? Care at all to explain how that happened?"
Rafee stands there, surrounded by the crew like a puppy who wet the carpet. "I... was tenderizing it?" He winces as he speaks, recoiling for the eventual reaction.
Nivzad, in the back, growls like a wolf with a wrench in hand, slowing beating into the palm of his other hand. "Go'in to tenderize you." He grunts out.
"Nivzad, take our tenderizer here and get started on repairs." Vincent commands, his arms crossed, shaking his head.
"With pleasure." Nivzad's mearty paw wraps around Rafee's head and drags him back into the ship.
"Nahla, Tresk, watch the ship and see if we can get the GPS and sat-con back up. Hopefully he didn't blow the generator as well. Miguel and I will scout the area... Miguel?"
On his rock, Miguel absentmindedly plays with his favorite toy.
"Miguel!" Vincent tells, turning to him. "Stop playing with that thing and pay attention to me!"
Miguel looks up to Vincent. "Oh... sorry capt. Didn't hear ya."
"Yes, no kidding. Pay attention or I'll throw that thing into the marsh."
"Understood, sorry sir!" He stuffs the toy into his shirt. "What we doing?"
"You're coming with me, we're scouting the area."
"Right, sir!" He jumps off his rock, into the damp marsh and cringes at the squishy feeling under his feet, then hops over to where Vincent stands. "Alright, we got radios. Tresk, keep us informed and go over the charts again. Try to pinpoint where we went down."
"Understood, sir." Tresk bows then turns back to the ship, followed by Nahla who gives the two a parting wave and wishes them luck. Once alone, Miguel and Vincent start off through the marsh, Vincent appearing not too pleased, with Miguel trotting behind him, once again playing with his stuffed toy.

Vincent and Miguel climb atop a large mossy swamp rock, checking a locater device, trying to triangulate their position.
"Miguel, check the compass. Miguel? MIGUEL!"
Miguel jumps, startled by Vincent's yell. He tosses his plush toy in the air then scrambles to catch it, slipping from the rock and landing face first into the marshy swamp just in time to catch the toy with his out stretched arms.
Vincent lets out a deep sigh as he watches the spectacle unfold. "So, I take it that's north?"
Miguel nods. "Aye... sir..."
"Good work."
All around them, as far as they can see, is nothing but a desolate swamp filled with any number of fiends and creatures. Vincent checks his instruments, triangulating his position with the ship and any possible natural marker.

Where am I? Who am I? And how in the world did I end up here? Those were the questions that kept being plaid in Kai’s head. He felt like he had been sleeping for a long time. He thought to himself “Could this be a dream?” He was unsure of everything. But, something urged him to move forwards. He couldn’t figure it out fully. But, it felt like thing or someone was guiding him.
Soon enough after traveling for what seemed like ours he ended up in the marshes. He didn’t like getting dirty. His black long coats was old enough to begin with and now it’ was getting somewhat muddied by the floor. “So every is guiding me better have money to by me a new coat,” joked Kai to himself in his head. He laughed a little bit. It felt odd to him, he had a feeling he never laughed much in his life prior to this event.
A part of him wanted to know who he was and yet another part didn’t. It was somewhat strange to him. It was then he spotted two people up ahead. “People? Here?” questioned Kai as he stood their for a moment just staring at them.
He then felt a faint voice “Go to them…” He figured he must have been hearing things.

"Captain, you see that?" Question Miguel, the lemur, as he pointed from his rock perch at the figure in the distance, through the marhy haze.
"Aye, get the rifle ready." Vincent replied, the Burmecian-like male, adjusting his coat.
"What rifle, capt?"
"You forgot the rifle?"
"Didn't know I needed to bring one."
Vincent sighs frustratedly as he unholsters one of his pistols and tosses it back to the lemur, who catches with an awkward fumble. "There, keep it trained on them, I'll go and see what they want. Maybe they know where this place is..."
"Can do capt'." Miguel half-ass salutes in reply.
Vincent, jumping from their rock perch, lands with a sickly sosh into the marsh. He cringes as the cold and wetness penetrates through his boots. It was grossly uncomfortable and each difficult, sucking step, makes the trek across this small expanse of marsh difficult .
"You there! Hello!? Perhaps you can help me, seems me and my friend here are a bit lost. Wouldn't happen to know where here is, would you?" As he speaks, he keeps his right arm behind his back.

In truth his memory had no records of talking rats. But, he had a feeling that he seen them before. This sort of feeling was odd and annoying at the same time. “Oh, I’m sorry to say But, I’m lost to. I’ve been wandering around for a while…”
He couldn’t help it, he didn’t know what to say. He looked around for a moment and wondered who would live here. Then again he figured it was best not to ask. “What are you doing here anyway?” inquired Kai. This mystery was nagging at him for a while. Normally people wouldn’t get lost without a good reason. Although, Kai’s reason wasn’t that great either.
He then heard a ladies voice in his head. Of course he couldn’t tell if it was in his head yet so he quickly asked “Did you hear that?” He looked around for a while in search or any other being. He then concluded that he must have been hearing things again. He turned back to the Burmecian-like male and said “Oh I must be hearing things. By any chance do you have some sort of vehicle? Judging by the looks of it you haven’t been walking around here for very long.”

Vincent was rightfully skeptical of this new person; who would wander around out here all dazed and confused? For that matter, why are they, Vincent and his crew, out here. Of all the places to make an emergency landing, it is here, in a marsh with a guy who is hearing things. Rafee would surely be getting a lashing for this fumble.
"Seems we're in the same boat, stranger." Vincent questions, warily. His eyes narrowed and brow furrowed. "So who is that wants to know?"

“Indeed we are in the same boat. Well, I was wondering if you give me a lift of this place. My legs are quite weary at the moment. So do you have a vehicle?” said Kai. He folded his arms together and closed his eyes for a moment. He was so sure he had heard a voice. He gave a small sigh in a sign that he was tired of over thinking or theorizing ideas as to what the voices were. He opened his eyes and saw the other Burmecian holding a weapon.
“Why is your friend their holding that weapon as if to shoot me?” Of course he had a gut feeling what it was. Well somewhat for the matter, he had figured it was either A) They were trying to rob him. Which was a joke considering he had nothing valuable. B) They think he was some kind of a threat or C) They was mercenaries. But, he didn’t really care which was the right answer if they were the answer at all. “I appreciate it if he placed it away.”

"I might have something." Vincent said with a cold, stern tone. "But I'm not going to let anyone just come along; so who are you and who are you with? You LSR... comrade?" Vincent clicks the hammer of his pistol back, keeping it close to him and discrete, not that it would matter here in the mild of a marsh but the force of habit runs strong.
"You mean Miguel over there?" Vincent mentioned, head casually motioning back to the rock behind him where perched with a steady aim is the lemur. "Yeah, that's not going to happen till I decide you're not worth the trouble to shoot. You see, we have a nasty tendency to run into the wrong company and if there's anything I've learned in my years is that you always take money up front and never put your guard down in the presence of strangers. Isn't that right, Miguel!" He calls back.
"Aye capt', nothing but trouble." Miguel replies back, still keeping steady.
"So, unless you can answer my questions to a satisfying degree, we're going to keep you in our sights." Vincent shoots Kai a devilish little grin, he had the upper hand here and wasn't going to let anyone take away this rare oppertunity.
((Miguel is an anthropomorphic lemur, not a Burmecian.))

He listened to Vincent’s voice. He wondered why he was so serious. Did he really look suspicious? “Well my name is Kai and I’m not traveling with anyone. At least I don’t think so,” said Kai. He looked around again with a clueless stare. Truth be told, he really was clueless at everything. “Sorry but, what’s LSR?” asked Kai cluelessly. One could tell he had his mind on something else. He wondered why all of this was happening for the most part.
“Judging by how you people talk… are you mercenaries?”He never messed with mercenary before; that is he doesn’t remember messing with any. “How much for a trip?” asked Kai. He really didn’t have any money on him so he didn’t know what to do. Figured he could lie and get a ride and pay some other way. But, he didn’t have any useful skills.
((sorry >.<))

"Kai..? Alright Kai, how about we see if you have any weapons on you. Throw open your coat, let's see your belly." Vincent brings forth his own firearm as he takes a few steps closer to Kai, motioning with the gun barrel to put up his arms so that he may check for a weapon.
"Capt', is he a red!? I've wanted to shoot one of them!" Miguel exclaimed, calling to Vincent.
With his free hand, Vincent shoos Miguel's comment away. "Nah! He doesn't smell like a Party member." He reassures the trigger happy lemur. Once thoroughly satisfied that Kai was unarmed, Vincent holsters his pistol, though Miguel keeps his ready.
"Alright, so you check out so far. But try anything funny, some magic BS or whatever and I will plant you, understood? Not going to be dropped by some kid in this god forsaken swamp." He steps back, gives the kid a once over, then scratches his chin before busting out laughing. "Hey, Miguel, the kid here thinks we're mercs!"
Miguel bursts into a pout of laughter upon hearing Vincent, nearly to tears.
"No kid - heh - not mercs. I'm insulted, like I'd fight for anyone else. No, I'm a legit businessman." He runs his hand along the surface of his pistol's grip. "But, you know how capitalism can be. So, you want to come along, well, then let's get moving, shall we?" Vincent side-steps, indicating that Kai should walk ahead of him, towards Miguel. It should be unclear to Kai these two true intentions, has he just become their prisoner or passenger, it was for him to decide.

“Magic? I don’t think I can even use magic,” stated Kai as he followed the lemur like being. He remembered something about magic; but they were somewhat vague. As he continued walking he had a vague flashback with someone. It was blur so he couldn’t tell who it was bit he could tell it was a women. He rubbed his head with his right hand. His head began to throb somewhat but it quickly ended. He hoped the others didn’t notice anything. He then figured it is best as any time to start small talk.
“So what kind of business are you in? And why the top notch security?” inquired Kai. As he walked ahead of Vincent he felt somewhat uncomfortable. He didn’t like having a person walking behind of him. It made him feel somewhat unsecure. He didn’t say anything to Miguel but just stared at for a minute. “Oh-h, Nice to meet you my name is Kai and judging by what your captain said, you’re Miguel? Correct?” He could tell Miguel would either be his good friend or worst enemy on this trip. What ever happened, he just hoped there wouldn’t any “problems” on the trip. After all he wasn’t made to fight; at least he didn’t think he was. Sure he knew how to fight hand to hand combat pretty well. But, that was about it.
“So where are you leading me right now?” As they continued. He couldn’t but help but noticed the area seemed pretty quite even for a marsh. Perhaps he was overreacting. But, he felt like something else was here but not here.

"Cargo acquisition." Is Vincent's reply, sharp and cold as they arrive at the rock where Miguel was perched.
"Aye, that's me." Miguel jumps into marsh from the rock, the mud making a squishy sound. "Eck, Capt', can we get someplace dry already."
"Well our new friend here wants a ride, then we'll give him one. Back to the Hijrah." Vincent says, waving his pistol off towards the distance.
"How far... have we gone from the ship?" Miguel asks, looking around.
"You were suppose to keep track of that."
"I was... then I forgot."
Vincent makes a frustrated growl under his breath. "Miguel, tell me why I haven't shot you yet?"
"Cause you love me, capt'." Miguel says, with a sarcastic flutter of his eyelashes.
"Minute we get back to the ship, I'm hurting you... lots."
Miguel chuckles to himself as Vincent orders them to begin walking in a direction they believe they had come from. It looks like it'll be a fairly long trek as there is nothing on the horizon to suggest any type of vessel is here, but the thick layer of mist may be obstructing the view.

“Cargo Acquisition?” repeated Kai. He didn’t know where that was good or bad. The mist began to get thicker and thicker every second and Kai was getting worried. “You know where we are going?” asked Kai. He noticed how the captain scolded his friend. He found it quite funny yet odd.
“I don’t know about you. But, I can’t see anything,”
(Sorry I can’t think of anything right now)

"Just a little mist, nothing to worry about." Replies Vincent, very nonchalant as if the lack of visibility was just a minor inconvenience. "Why, you scared?"
"I hear weird things can live in the mist. Horrible, vicious things." Chimes Miguel, turning around while walking backwards. "Things with big teeth that'a rend ya flesh from your bones. Suck out ya eyeballs straight from their sockets," he makes a sickly sucking and slurping sound "And then munch on ya bones like crackers." He mockingly shudders as he spins back around, chuckling.
"Alright, enough. There's not alot of fiends like that out here, I highly doubt we'll run into one like that. Maybe just a few eyeball suckers." Vincent chuckles, darkly.
The mist now is rolling in thicker and thicker, till only the three can see one another and nothing else around them. Odd sounds, perhaps just foul, echo in the distance, calling out like Sirens to lure the travelers from their path. Then, there just beside them, is a quick sloshing sound of something moving through the mud. It paces beside them for several moments, yet neither Vincent nor Miguel pay the nose any attention. Then, as quickly as it came, the sound vanishes.
A new sound emerges from the mist, a crackling white noise that slowly grows louder and louder. It's close but its source is unknown, either behind or infront, its impossible to tell and still, Vincent and Miguel pay it no attention, as if they cannot hear it. They continue walking, through the mist, further into the marsh.

“N-no!” snapped Kai back at Vincent. He wasn’t scared of no mist; at least not that scared. He looked around somewhat to examine his environment for anything suspicious. Miguel’s little description on a creature living in a place like this made his stomach turn. He really didn’t like this place. Heck he didn’t even know how he ended up here in the first place. “This is the last time I listen to voices in my head…” thought Kai to himself as they moved along.
Vincent’s reassurance of this places safety wasn’t at all reassuring to Kai. “I bet he is just saying that to make himself feel more safe,” thought Kai giving at odd look at Vincent.
The sounds and turning mud around them made Kai feel very uncomfortable. “Guys, you think he should do something?” asked Kai. Of course he didn’t even know what to do if there was anything to do in a situation like this. Just then the new sound was heard. The noise grew louder and louder and Kai was getting even more nervous.
“How could you guys not--” Kai was cut off. A shadowy figure could be seen from within the mist. But, it vanished quickly. They walked on and he saw the shadow again. But, this time it came even close. It then jumped out from the mist and landed next to Kai. It was an Axolotl which freaked him out a bit. But, for some odd reason Kai didn’t scream but kicked it away with his foot. He was in shock. “Reflexes?” thought Kai.

Vincent and Miguel break out laughing at Kai's expense, the sight of him freaking out because of a lowly, harmless fiend was just too much; and here they were wary about this Kai harming them.
"Nice moves slick." Boasts Vincent as he pats Kai on the shoulder, still giggling. "Sure showed that overgrown lizard whose boss. Don't think he'll be coming around again." He walks past Kai, over to Miguel. "Miguel, get on the radio. Light em up."
"Miguel to Hijrah *chzz*, on route, give us a little flash. *chzz*" Miguel's radio clicks off just as in the distance, a large silhouette appears in the mist. Six stories tall at least and over two hundred feet long, a behemoth in the mist. A loud clicking sound echos through the marsh and a series of lights explode out from this dark outline.
"I hope that's to your liking, Kai. Now does she work..."
The dark monster creaks and roars and a wash of light floods out from a large mouth, the opening of the vessels cargo hold.

Kai just ignored their jokes about his “slick moves”. Although he was quite embarrassed from it. He was beginning to doubt these guys had a way out but when the giant vessel appeared, Kais move opened wide. He as almost speechless.
“T-that’s? Your vehicle?!” replied Kai in shock. It was huge and to think these people actually rode in it. He was also happy that they could finally leave this place.
He then heard a faint voice again. But, couldn’t understand what she was saying. He looked to his left where he heard the voice come from. But, he didn’t see them. He wanted to go see if there was anyone there. But, also didn’t at the same time. “You sure you guys don’t hear anything?”

"Aye, that she is. And nope! Hear nothing but your lips asking." Mutter Miguel, walking towards the light through the fog. He bounds up into the cargo hold and disappears, leaving just Vincent along with Kai.
"This is the Hijrah, and if you plan to ride on her, understand these few rules." Vincent says. "I'm the captain, and when you're on my ship, my rule is law. Second, only stay in the cabin deck, that's deck 2. Third, don't anger Nahla, she is already suspicious of strangers and she will shoot first, ask later. Fourth, you break anything, I will make you 'walk the plank' and its a very, very long way down. Understood?" He doesn't wait for a reply as he beacons Kai to follow him inside.
Through the light into the artificial glow of the cargo hold, Kai can spy a number of large crates, all marked differently, in odd languages and from various countries and corporations. There's ShiRa, LSR, Galbadeia, Esthar and numerous others.
"If you'll follow me, I'll take you to the cabin deck. There we'll have a cabin set up for you and the galley." With that, Vincent walks over to a intercom. "One second." He hits the little red button on it and begins to speak into it. "Vincent here, Nivzad, ETA on the engines?"
"Yea *chzz* Thinking another five hours, maybe more. *chzz*"
"Make it four."
"If you say captain. *chzz*"
Vincent flicks the device off and turns back to Kai. "Well, if you'll follow me again. I'll show to the O2 deck."
Vincent leads onward, through the cargo hold, the giant doors shutting behind them. Vincent leads Kai through many bland corridors, up stairs, and through hatches till they reach a door marked 02. Through there, they come to a hallway with many un-marked doors, an open area towards the bow, and little else. "Wait here."
Vincent walks off, towards that open area, which must be the galley as Vincent stated, leaving Kai alone for now.
The intercom, however, blares once more. "Vincent to Nahla, guest on the 02 deck. Need you to set him up with a cabin... don't kill him." It clicks off, leaving Kai in silence.

“Listen to the captain, don’t wander, don’t anger Nahla, and don’t break anything. Seems like you like to keep everything here tight and secure,” answered Kai in relief that he got a ride. As they continued their mini tour around the ship Kai noticed the large amounts of crates all over the place. It was odd though, He believed he never saw the languages before but he knew what they were saying. For now he figured it was best to keep it in the back of his head.
When he heard about the engine problems Kai just sighed. “I guess we will be here for a little while longer,” thought Kai to himself. He was really hoping to get out of here. Marshes and swarms aren’t his most favorable places to stay at. Not that he was high maintenance or anything he just didn’t like the environment.
“The O2 deck?” he could only figure it was were the guests would stay. They travel though the ship and its interior seemed endless. He couldn’t quite figure out how they knew ere everything was here. Then again, he had onl been here for 5 minutes while the crew and captain most likely spent most of their life here. As the Captain ordered to wait he listened and obeyed. The last thing he asnted was to get lost in a ship of all places with a strict captain and an angry… Nahla.
“Don’t kill him?” said Kai echoing what the intercom had said. Is this Nahla such a dangerous person?

The distant echo of heavy boots against the steel deck interrupt any train of thought Kai may have as it gets closer and closer. Then, there's a loud, mechanical clicking and turning to face the sound, Kai finds a soft featured woman in grease stained blue-grey coveralls, with dirty blond hair and brown eyes. In her hands is a sawed off, pump action, shotgun.
"So, you the lil'pip squeak the captain dragged in? Heh, I was expecting something a little more intimidating. Name's Nahla, and I suppose you'll be wanting someplace to stay while we lug your butt around." She walks closer, that gun still a malicious intimidation in her hands. With a suspicious step, she moves beside Kai, then smacks a control panel beside his head. A door beside them slides open, revealing a sparse but accommodating cabin-room. There's a flat bed with sheets, a sink, mirror, tiny closet, and several built in drawers. Nahla pushes past him, into the cabin, highlighting the various amenities it has.
"The head is here." She says, patting a low panel on the bulkhead with a pull handle. "TP is under the sink, everything else is pretty self explanatory. Any problems or questions, use the intercom by the bed." She stands in the middle of the cabin, shotgun's barrel tapping her shoulder as she stares down Kai. "Now, we're not going to have any problems with you, are we? And what did you say your name was?"
