::Lillith's eybrows knit together in a nervous grin::
I don't think Rainii would even recognize you.

"Really? Cool."
:: Julie's obviously proud of her work. Sure, it had fooled a bunch of people she had never met, but this was someone she knew. It almost makes Julie want to arrange for some of her friends to meet Anya someday. ::
"Only thing I'm missing is the uniform."
:: At that thought, Julie-as-Anya frowns pensively. ::
"... Does this Garden even have uniforms? It should. I mean, I don't like wearing the same thing as everybody else half of the time, but it's kind of part of what Garden is, don't you think?"

::Lillith shakes her head::
With Galbadia breathing down my neck, you really think we can afford uniforms? Not that any of the students are complaining though.

:: Julie smiles ::
"I wouldn't complain."
'That reminds me, though... I'll need something else to wear if we're really doing this.'
:: She does still have some of the clothes she bought as Anya while on her worldwide Garden tour in her travel bag. Realistically, she probably wouldn't have to worry about anyone recognizing her style, but she doesn't know yet if she would know any of Lillith's students. And whether or not to let Kenny and the others in on the secret was still a point of consideration. ::

((OOC - For those who may be confused, I'm taking over this thread while Lillith's preoccupied. I made two reasonable assumptions: that the headmistress would have access to an intercom/PA of some kind, and that Kate would be running laps. )) :: Lillith clears her throat, shifting into a somewhat professional manner. :: Lillith: "Well, 'Anya', we should probably arrange for your official transfer to Leah Garden, then." :: A slight hint of an amused smirk appears as she looks Julie in the eyes. :: Lillith: "I'll contact Cid later. In the meantime, you should at least have a place to sleep." :: She quietly considers the situation before coming to a decision. Lillith presses a button on the nearby intercom. :: Lillith: "Shaft, could you send Kate to the sitting room to meet our new student?" :: Shaft's voice replies. :: Shaft: "Another one? Soon as she's done with her laps, I'll send her right up." :: Suddenly, Julie starts glancing around the room. She'd never been seen in her "Julie" clothes with her "Anya" disguise before, and she isn't going to start now. :: "Gah... I need to change! Hang on..." :: She steps behind something like a wetbar near the fireplace. A quiet rustling of her travel bag and clothing can barely be heard. ::

(OOC: Deeeeeeaaaaam Not bad, sounds just like me. And yes, Kate would be doing something dutiful. Despite being a sorceress, she's also very athletic).

((OOC - Thanks! ;D I'm [apparently] a renowned style mimic. Nice to see my reputation has some truth to it. I probably shouldn't doubt it after years of playing Laguna in the midst of a bunch of Final Fantasy fans, but I still do.)) :: Julie continues talking while she's changing. :: "Y'know, I came up with this whole 'Anya' wardrobe while I was at Balamb. Do you have any idea how hard it is shopping for things you like, but wouldn't normally wear?" :: The rustling of fabric stops, and something that sounds like plastic takes its place. Julie doesn't wait for Lillith to reply before continuing. :: "It's kinda cool, though. You get to play around with looks a lot more. It's like when you're acting, and first getting into character." :: Lillith notices a slight wistfulness in Julie's voice. :: Lillith: "I didn't know you were an actress." "Oh, yeah! Sort of. I only did a few amateur plays in Deling City, and one at Trabia Garden." :: Julie - or rather, Anya - steps out from behind the wetbar. She is now wearing a white v-neck halter layered under a cropped black cardigan, simple capri-length cuffed jeans, and a pair of strappy but unusually sturdy-looking high-heeled sandals. A black belt on her jeans holds a vaguely box-shaped holster. Julie's trademark pendant is gone, though a careful observer would notice the heart-shaped charm hidden on Anya's charm bracelet. Accessorizing the outfit are small silver drop earrings, metallic nail polish, subtly more dramatic eyeliner, and possibly a light lip gloss. The overall effect is much more simplistic, yet glamorous than Julie Loire's style. Anya gives a twirl and poses. :: "What do you think?" :: Lillith smiles. :: Lillith: "Forget Rainii, I'm not sure you'd recognize you now." ((OOC - Resisted my style mimic instinct on that last one. Hope it still fits. ))

:: Her disguise complete, Julie flips a sort of mental switch, immersing herself almost completely into her Anya Louvel persona. On the surface, at least, she now thinks of herself as the small-town girl turned aspiring SeeD that Anya is supposed to be. ::
'Of course, that mean's Lillith's my headmistress now...'
:: Anya hadn't considered that part, really. She - or rather, Julie - personally knew most of the higher-level staff here, and had for years. This had the potential to be... very interesting. Which could mean anything from intensely awkward to really entertaining. ::
'Oh, well. I did want to give that exam a try. But... it is kind of strange that Lillith suggested it like that...'
:: A knock at the door breaks Julie's train of thought. ::
Lillith: "Come on in, Kate."
:: Anya frowns curiously as the girl entered. Her pale skin starkly contrasts with her black hair and clothing... yet, oddly, it works for her. She looks as if she had finished her laps, then jogged straight over - except for a lack of sweat. Maybe she had wanted to make a good impression on the "new girl". Lillith begins going through the motions of introducing the two. ::
Lillith: "Anya, this is Kate. Kate, this is Anya. She's just transferred from Balamb Garden for the exam."
:: Anya smiles and holds out her hand. Kate slowly accepts the gesture, with an expression of slight bemusement. ::
Kate: "You're just here for the exam? Why?"
:: Lillith answers before Anya can even think of a reply. ::
Lillith: "Anya has a certain type of affinity for elemental magic. Headmaster Cid recommended her for our program when she failed to meet the requirements of a standard SeeD exam."
:: Anya gives Lillith a strange look. She had just summarized everything perfectly into her cover story. While Kate's attention was elsewhere, Lillith gave Anya a quick wink, then continues. ::
Lillith: "For the time she'll be with us, Kate, I've assigned her as your roommate. I'm sure you two will get along quite well."
:: Anya isn't sure if Kate notices the amused smirk Lillith is holding back. And she also isn't sure if the target of Lillith's amusement is Kate or herself. The other girl seems oblivious, as she simply gives Anya a once-over look. ::
Kate: "Huh. If you say so, Headmistress."
:: Lillith smiles. ::
Lillith: "Good. Now, girls... it is getting late. Why don't you show Anya to your dorm so she can unpack?"
:: Kate nods. ::
Kate: "Yes, ma'am."
:: Anya gives a polite nod to Lillith. ::
"It was very nice meeting you, 'Headmistress'."
:: Facing away from Kate, she throws in a wink at the end. ::
'Guess that's one point for "entertaining"...'
:: Picking up her travel bag, Anya follows Kate out of the sitting room. ::
