"Coral, dear... Where is the crew?" Iris looked about, "You can't tell me that Esthar's technology is THAT advanced."
"I wouldn't be surprised if their secret research involved crewless ships, but this one doesn't. It's not a big ship, so it only takes a few people to run it..."
Coral had escorted Iris to a cabin that served as a Captain's chamber.
"I always knew there was a Captain in you..." Iris smiled.
"I beg your pardon?" Coral gasped.
"Oh, it's just this little image I've toyed with over the years. Don't get so worked up. I've always pictured you running a transport of some kind... Be it a tour bus or an airship."
"I don't run it... I just tell them where we're going it."
"That's running it, my dear."
"Oh..." Coral waved her hand in rejection of Iris' comment, "Anyhow... I don't like what you've told me of this situation..."
"Well, whether you like it or not, my dear, we're involved. I suppose you want to go back to Esthar?"
"Well, I think we should return the ship..."
"And maybe wish the ever so valuable Estharian nation the warmest regards?"
"You've never complained when my good manners got us sponsorships, jobs, transportation..."
"Calm down, Coral! Calm down! I'm only having a little fun. Your congenial nature is one of my favorite things about you."
Coral blushed, "Oh... Well... Thank you."
"You're so bashful... You can afford a little more confidence."
"... I'll remember that."
"So, we set course for Esthar?"
"I'll tell the crew."
"Aye aye, captain."

"Miss Umbrus. There's a problem..."
A crew member had approached Coral in one of the corridors.
"What's wrong?" Coral asked, concern growing on her face immediately.
"Maybe you should see this..."
The man lead her to the viewing deck where he indicated the approaching scene. Esthar, in the distance, was, very clearly, under attack. Smoke and flames came from deep in the city.
"I advise... We take a different course..."
"You may be right... What was your name?"
"Alec. Alec Winters."
"Right, Alec... Have the ship turn away from Esthar for now... I'm going to confer with Iris..."
Coral left crewman Alec and entered Iris' newly designated chamber.
"Back so soon, Captain?"
"Stop calling me that. We're changing course. Esthar is under attack. Alec brought it to my attention."
"Ah, First Officer Alec? Hm... Esthar under attack? That's terrible. The Order, no doubt..."
Coral would've asked Iris how she could speculate such a thing, but she knew better.
"Any idea where we should go?"
"Well..." Iris murmured. She then smiled and raised her voice, "Mysidia."
"Mysidia!? Whatever for?"
"We have friends there. May as well pay them a visit."
"Friends? Who? Who are you talking about?" Coral wasn't used to Iris having connections she didn't know about... Though, she thought, it wasn't a surprise. Iris was a mysterious woman, indeed.
