(OOC- To help out here's your decision. Attack or not....but remember, one is a REALLY bad idea!)

::Rainii spots the orb almost immediately.::
"Oh,well,would you look at that. Something to worry about."
::She looks at her companions, questioningly.::
"Do we attack it,or run? Because..."
::The orb floats closer.::
"I'm not sure."

"I've never seen anything like it..."
:: She pauses ::
"I say we find a place to hide. Clerian?"
:: She hopes the others will decide for sure before it gets too close - this could be really bad. ::

"Not a bad idea," Clerian responds hastily, gesturing for everyone to move off the street and into a nearby alleyway.
He gave the two a little push-start, moving them in the direction of the alley to the right - hoping they moved fast enough for the eye not to notice them. Clerian's coat whipped back with the sudden burst of movement, following behind the group as they moved swiftly into the alley to hide from the hovering orb.

:The orb slowly floats by, they can breathe a sigh of release until they hear footsteps coming from the street behind them. The alley they moved into now has made them make a decision to come out and face something they don't know or try getting by the orb without being noticed. Or possibly kill it:

"Footsteps," Clerian whispered, gesturing behind them.
"That orb must've been sent to find us, which means that it's probably capable of doing some damage to our advance in one way or another...otherwise they wouldn't have sent it," he guessed, "And behind us, we have footsteps...which means that it's something familiar, at least - whether we fight it or run from it."
"I think we'd be better off facing the unknown behind us than the known in front of us. It's your call, though, Rainii...what do you think we should do?" Clerian asked, leaving the decision up to the President.

"Then we shall," Clerian responded, unsheathing his gunblades and turning around - crouching low to keep himself at least a little on the sneaky side.

:As they slowly move down the alley they passed up on the easy opportunity to quickly destroy a defenseless droid recon. Instead the sounds of the footsteps passes by. A line of soldiers and Magitek armor are patrolling down the street. Before the end a soldier notices them and alerts the group. They begin to open fire:

"One stupid robot or another, this place is crawling with Imperials," Clerian commented with an obvious degree of annoyance, taking a quick step back.
"Rainii, Julie...let's get the hell out of here. Fast," he added, firing off an Aero spell that send an enormous wind tunnel down the alley, throwing debris and punishing winds in the soldiers' path.

“I guess it’s back the way we came!”
::Rainii turns and pushes Julie backward, trying to get her to run. She does, and her, Rainii and Clerian go back the way they came. The flying droid is still there.::
“Ah….let’s just kill the thing and be done with it. It can’t be any worse than--”
::She glances back at the alley.::
“--what we just left.”
::She readies Dissention, and looks at Clerian and Julie.::
“Ready?”

((OOC - I knew as soon as I read the next decision point that facing the approaching soldiers was a bad idea. Couldn't do anything about it, though, so now Julie's annoyed. )) :: Frustrated, Julie fires a gunshot at the droid, either forgetting or not caring enough to enhance the attack with any magic. :: "'Face the unknown.' Great idea. 'Cause, you know, it's obviously better to go in knowing nothing about your enemy!" :: She turns around and fires a few varying elementally-charged shots blindly in the direction of the Empire forces behind them, trying to find some cover as she did. ::

"Oh,right. Like we knew so much about that nice little flying thing over there. Mmhm. Yes. Either way we're screwed--now's not the time for you to pass judgement...especially since you've got no room to lecture."
::She notices she came off kinda rude, and almost feels bad--but then realizes that she could put this angry energy to use.She grins a little, and begins attacking soldiers.::

:: Julie is momentarily shocked at her sister's behavior, but then they weren't exactly in the most comfortable of situations. Plus, she was right. Julie lets out a frustrated sigh as she continues firing elemental bullets. ::
"I know, I know! I'm the one who said 'run' when we saw it, remember?! Just saying... 'face the unknown' isn't exactly a sound tactic!"
:: She manages to find an alcove nearby that at least offers some cover, though not really enough for her preference. ::
"We can't take them all out from here, either. But..."
:: She groans ::
"... the only way to go now takes us deeper in!"

"Now's not exactly the time for a sisterly argument," Clerian remarked, a little amused, "But for the record...we're in another world, in a foreign city, with bizarre machines and soldiers swarming around. I think it's safe to say that no matter where we turn in here, we'll be facing the unknown."
"Regardless, it looks like our path is chosen for us..." he added, casting a Fira spell in the direction of the Imperial army before turning his eyes to the only open road - the one leading further into the city.

Clerian, not really caring for reasoning at this point, launches another Fira spell at random toward the soldiers before following Rainii.
"These guys are annoyingly persistant..." the ex-SeeD muttered.
