A young woman fell to the ground, clutching her stomach, moaning. The bar-goers crowded around her, trying to help her, but none knowing what to do. One patron sat in the corner, seemingly unaffected by the occurance. He stood and walked out the door.
"Another failure...", Edwin muttered. He walked a fair distance until he reached a bench. He sat and pulled out a clip board. He wrote fervently.
"The chilling potion failed. Before the experiment could even be taken to the temperature sensitivity test, the subject's system obviously rejected one or more components. Subject A's body attempted to eject the potion from it's system, but it had already absorbed that which it reacted so violently to."
Edwin stopped writing. He looked up. Two people, medical assistance, most likely, rushed into the bar. Not much later, they rushed back out, with the young woman on a stretcher. Edwin stood and stopped one of the bar patrons who had followed them out the door.
"Sir, would you tell me... Do you know if that girl will be alright?"
The man looked at Edwin, "The doctors said it was a close call, but she'll be fine.
Edwin thanked the man and returned to his bench. "Results concluded not to be fatal. Keep potion recipe for future experimentation." He wrote.
Edwin put his notes into his satchel and stood up.
"Now... To find another subject..."
