::Natalia sits alone in the since abandoned orphanage. A simple wooden chair at the table. Tearing furiously through the pages of the book Ultimecia gave her::
Nothing in here seems to be of any use. No matter how much I learn about him, he always seems to be one step ahead.
::Everything she's learned about Loci suddenly begins buzzing through her head::
Vincent: He has a nasty habit of surviving everything that's thrown at him.
Loci: These jittes, my dear Titan, were a gift from the celestials, before the great fall of the angels.
Ultimecia: The easiest way to defeat him is to turn his greatest strength into his greatest weakness. That is the surest way to beat him.
::She shakes these thoughts away, and decides to think of something else to calm her nerves. The only thing that seems to do the trick is Crohan::
---Flashback---
Natalia: Why did you bring me here?
Crohan: It was the only safe place I could think of at the moment.
Natalia: what is this place anyway?
Crohan: My childhood home... sort of. Before I wound up on the Island Closest to Hell.
::Natalia rolls her eyes as Crohan wanders the room, seemingly lost in his memories. There was somehting inviting about this place. Maybe it was being here with him. He had been the only person in near five-hundred years she had been able to get close to. She looks at her clothing, and decides that her revealing black corsette is hardly appropriate for the occasion. She snaps her fingers, and she is wearing a simple gray gown. She takes a seat::
Crohan: Wait!
Natalia: What? Is it a bug? A mouse? What is it?!
Crohan: No, it's nothing like that! Its just... you look like someone I knew.
::She regards him with interest::
Natalia: Who?
Crohan: ... no one, never mind.
Natalia: No really, come on. Why won't you tell me?
Crohan: 'Cause whenever I tell you something personal, you either laugh or twist it into something that amuses you.
Natalia: Tell me. I promise I won't... do any of those.
::He stares at her for awhile::
Crohan: Edea.
::Natalia fights every last bit of natural instinct. When she gets over it, she feels strangely flattered::
