(OOC: Can it carry three? What am I saying? I totally forgot Lillith can fly! Well I guess that would be a long way for her.)
::Gideon cut her off before she could answer::
We're going to Tzen, now.
::He threw the radio back to Lillith after clicking it off and wasted no time tearing down camp. Lillith just nodded and began throwing her effects back into her bag::
Lillith: It's like he says. Vincent and his crew are in Tzen. They say Nyx was injured there. He was there too. We finally have a lead.
::As she packed, Kenny could see that same anger, that foreign darkness in her eyes that had been there earlier. It may have reminded him of the days she had been a member of the coven, blinded by hate, and suddenly Gideon's earlier warning came unbidden into his mind again::
Do you know how the darkness in Natalia's heart came to be there? From one act of revenge! Her thirst for vengeance overcame her, led her down a neverending path of blood and sorrow that turned her into a monster. The same path the woman you claim to love is going down right now! Are you too blinded by your own desire for vengeance to see it?

::While the Hijrah made contact with Lillith's party, the Mage Knights began making their way back to the fortress with their wounded. Sir Bryant's team took special care in lifting Nyx onto a cot and carrying her as gently as she could. It took only two to carry her on the cot, but a third was required to hold her still so she wouldn't thrash and fall back to the ground. However the crew of the Hijrah couldn't help but notice that the man clad in black armor had mysteriously vanished::
Bryant: We will be on the look-out for your comrades. My Lord wishes me to express his thanks to you again, and to tell you that you are more than welcome to stay if you wish.
::The young Knight bumped a fist against his own chest in a sort of salute to the Captain::
Bryant: Valor and Freedom.

Vincent and company followed the soldiers into the fortress, Nahla keeping watch over Nyx. She wanted to give her something, anything, a painkiller or sedative but they feared even that may be too much for her to handle. They could only wait.
Inside, Vincent and Miguel quickly took a seats in some rickety, wood rotted chairs beside a table with a half empty bottle of some local wine. Miguel sniffed it, was old and smelt faintly of vinegar but he drank the remains despite.
"Yeah, what you said." Vincent half heatedly returned the salute. "Listen, I appreciate the offer of room and board but we're just staying till Lilith arrives, get this sorted out, and were out of here. So..."
"What the capt'in is saying, is we'll gladly take some of your food and drink in that offer, but we don't plan to oppose any." Miguel chimed in.

Bryant: Then you may as well make yourselves at home. Your comrade did say over the radio it could be a couple days before she reached here. Our Commander is actually an admirer of your exploits so I can assure you, you shall be treated well. ::Vincent's ear twitched suddenly at the warm tickling of a whisper in his ear. The voice was unnerving and invasive:: ??: Well, well, well, Bryant. Who are your friends? ::The voice was low, yet somehow iffeminant. Bryant's reaction was quick, thrusting one of his shortswords just over Vincent's shoulder. The apparition leapt back most gracefully, and when the others got their first look at his appearance, it was obvious as to why:: ??: Feisty as ever. Why always so hostile to your comrades? Bryant: You are no comrade of mine, and you will maintain your distance from our guests. ??: Don't worry, I wasn't going to bite. Just a nibble is all. It's so refreshing to see one of my own kind here. But I'm being rude. Allow me to introduce myself. ::The stranger took a deep bow with a flourish of his clawed and heavily tattooed hand:: ??: You can call me Nag.

"Hear that captain, a fan!" Miguel exclaimed, he felt rather smug with that knowledge. He took a swig from the vinegary wine.
"Next there's going to be a fan club and we'll start getting dirty pictures of the crew drawn by sweaty neck-beards in basements. Fantastic." He crossed his arms and nodded, then there came that chilly sensation up his spine as some figure emerged from the shadows. Vincent had his hand on his whip-sword around his waist the moment he felt that foreboding sensation.
Vincent was wary and concerned about this new creature before him. He didn't seem entirely trustworthy and even a little creepy. "Right... Nag. And you are what exactly?"
Miguel leaned to the side, over towards Bryant in a whisper, asking who this thing was.

Bryant: ::In response to Miguel:: None of us are sure exactly. Nag: Now then, don't you recognize one of your own when you see them? ::A second voice sounded from the corridor, more refined than the first:: ??: Don't insult them Nag. Nag: Ah there you are Thoth. ::The young man, though wearing rather formal attire appeared quite sloppy with his hair disshevelled, tie hanging loose, his collar unbuttoned, his clothes wrinkled and smudged with what could have either been ink or blood. From behind his rectangular glasses he viewed them with eyes that had an uneasy curiosity in them, like how one would stare at an oddity in the reptile house at the zoo behind the glass:: Thoth: Don't be too put off friends. In spite of his claim, ss you can most definitely tell from his scent alone, he's not really a Burmecian. It was simply one of my own experiments that went horribly wrong. ::The thing that called itself Nag moved to Thoth's side, stroking a hand along his face and hanging one arm over his shoulder:: Nag: Thoth you're so cruel. You mean it went horribly right! I've never felt so soft. ::Nag wrapped its arms around itself, stroking his seemingly bare flesh affectionately. However closer inspection did show that, though short and near transparent, nearly impossible to see beneath all the tattooes, its skin was indeed covered in short fine blue fur. It held its arm out just in front of Nahla's face:: Nag: Want a feel pretty lady?

Nag only felt the cold steel of a pistol jammed up against something Nag probably really enjoys having, all the while Nahla has the biggest smirk of disgust and enjoyment. "How about feeling this, kitty?"
"Nahla, be nice. Aim a little to the left." "Roger that captain." She adjusted the pistol's barrel just a fraction to the left.
Ignoring Nahla and Nag's little scuffle, Vincent turned his attention to the strange Thoth. "So this fiend is your creation? Isn't this type of experimentation illegal by the international courts? Boy could get in trouble if he ain't careful. So what's your story?"

::Nag jumped back from Nahla while Thoth continued studying them. In fact he seemed very interested in Miguel, circling him and sizing him up with his eyes:: Thoth: The consequences don't really concern me, only the results. Nag: Besides, what's the harm? I volunteered. Thoth: My this is a rare breed we have here. What province did you say you hailed from? ::He reached into his pocket and pulled a scalpel from his coat:: Thoth: Hate to be forward, but I don't suppose you'd mind if I took a fur sample? ::Another swing from Bryant's blade reminded Thoth to keep his distance:: Bryant: If Lord Leon were to discover your behavior towards our honored guests and allies, he would not be pleased. Nag: Well then I guess it's a good thing we don't really aim to please, except ourselves that is. ??: Enough. ::From the opposite corridor, aside from the new voice, the crew felt a strange chill in the air. Up until then, they hadn't heard her approach anymore than they had heard the others, but now as she stepped towards them, the click-clack of her black flats seemed to echo in the hallway, as though she were doing it on purpose, making them very aware that she was there:: ??: Your antics grow old. Bryant, put that toy away, or I shall do it for you. Thoth: So Fay, you decided to join us after all. Whatever made you change your mind? Fay: I grew bored with the toy you gave me. He broke too quickly. ::She spoke in a low and level voice that sounded more like the voice of a woman though she appeared no older than twelve. Her strange rose colored eyes were reflective like glass and as cold as ice, and an alien black tail swished back and forth behind her like that of a cat. While the new presence didn't seem to make things less uneasy, she had at least shut the other two up for the time being, which was probably why Bryant sheathed his sword:: Bryant: I was assigned to make sure our guests felt welcome, and you and your cronies are not my idea of a welcoming committee. Fay: We were told our assistance was needed. And you three are?

Miguel skirted away from Thoth and his desire to cut him, even if it was his fur. Guy was giving him serious August creepy vibes here, too analytical, too cold - he huddled close to his bottle for comfort. "Not gonna tell you now, creeper!"
Vincent sized up this new girl, her dark aura and presence, it was almost like Yersinia back in her heyday. Vincent couldn't help but wonder what was going on in Tzen. Were these really allies, or some sort of twisted mercenary group. He kept himself guarded, watching each one carefully.
"Oh us?" Vincent trying to play off the tension, "Just a couple of sky-pirates looking to buy some chocolate, strafed into the middle of this little scuffle. That's all."
Nahla lowered her pistol, holstering it back. She kept her eyes narrowed like a she-lion towards a scavenger after her kill to Nag. Hand still resting on the pistol's grip, just itching to use it.
"What about you three?" He glanced to Bryant, "Didn't tell us there would be troubadours for entertainment. Mighty kind of you." His gaze returned to the three newcomers. "Do you happen to know The Good Ship Venus, always get a laugh out of that one."

::Fay spoke in a voice as detached and disinterested as her dead-eyed gaze::
Fay: I suppose we do. We are able to perform many things, but only for a price. For a performance such as that, I would require the childhood memories of your mother as payment.
::Nag hugged himself and shivered at Thoth's side, as though shrinking away from her::
Nag: ::Shudder:: She's the most cold-hearted of the three of us.

Vincent chuckles, he was finding this amusing. Miguel and Nahla on the other hand, were far from amused. Miguel was even curled up into a little ball on his chair, huddling with the wine bottle.
"Oh do you now? Well if you can find them under the jumbled mess of drunken debauchery inside my head, you're welcome to have them." With a teasing smile, he then asked of Bryant if Nahla and himself could get some refreshments, as Miguel already found his sour wine much to his enjoyment.
"So where do your roles play into this? This little backwater town doesn't strike me as the place likes of your three would call home willingly. Mercenaries? Or do you just have a beef with the Empire?"

::Nag leaned an arm on Vincent's shoulder::
Nag: Mercenaries? Well I suppose you could say we have a contract yes.
Thoth: Though technically we're not here at all.
Fay: Would you believe we were just looking for a bit of excitement.
::Though her doll-like face made the girl appear that all excitement had been strangled out of her in the cradle::

Bryant: Well you won't find any here, now if you'll excuse us. I need to see to it our guests recieve the compensation they asked for.
::Bryant began directing them to where they would be staying. As they followed the young knight down the corridor, they could still feel three pairs of eyes on their backs, and then even after they rounded the corner, they still couldn't shake the strangest feeling of having eyes all around them, watching their every move::
Miguel: Just who in the hell were those freaks?
Bryant: I apologize most sincerely for their behavior. Rest assured they are no comrades of mine. They are as the Captain guessed; mercenaries. They, along with my friend Kaworu are the only Mage Knights that don't hail from Thamasa. We're not exactly sure where they're from, and it disgusts me to count them among our number. They're not knights at all. Just a trio of witches. Makes me sick, all those dark arts they delve into, disfiguring themselves in such a manner. Just unnatural.
Nahla: ::Hand still on her pistol:: No argument here. But if you don't trust them, then why are they here?
Bryant: It's against our code to deny anyone the right to fight with us, so long as they agree to abide by that same code. And so far they have. But I suspect that has more to do with the close eye Lord Leon is keeping on them rather than any morals on their part. I still suspect the only reason he even made them Mage Knights was so he could keep them close. Only we are permitted to stay in the fortress with him. My apologies if I have misled you, but I trust the vessel you came in will suffice for your lodgings? You have my assurance you will recieve whatever provisions you may need.
Miguel: ::Supressing a shiver:: Not a problem. But you never really answered my question. Who are they?
Bryant: They are the Black Widow Brigade. And right now, they're the only hope your Sorceress friend has.
(OOC: Sorry for autoing Nahla and Miguel, but I'll be ending the thread here. If there was anything you wanted to post to wrap things up, have at it. Whenever you're ready we can start another one for Lillith's arrival)
