August had rejoined the bridge crew, plopping down in the seat beside his half-finished game. There, after the call from the captain, August sat silently, waiting for Lord Noel to decide.
"Shall I?"
He asked, picking his fingers with the tip of one of his daggers. Lord Noel replied with a simple nod.
"Then let it be."
Typhon's sigils begun to glow brightly, their veins expanding and coursing over its body. A bright flash erupts forth, blinding all those near and as suddenly as the flash came, Typhon was gone. The last remnants of the carvings fading into the air as the creature is teleported back into the hold of the Glorious Dawn. The smaller crafted creatures begun to dissolve away, fading into nothing as the vessel begins to pull back from the battle.

::Bryant watched the creatures fall back with a mix of gratitude and dread. They were gone for now, but the onslaught had left its mark. The enemy's appearance enough had been enough to demoralize the ranks. He turned to face his comrades::
Bryant: We gather our dead give them honorable service. Our enemy has a new face, but they are the same. They have simply revealed themselves at last to be what we always knew they were; beasts. We have much to consider but we will not cower. We'll regather our strength, plan our strategy, and next time we will hit them hard and fast. Remember, we are the only thing that stands between this bloated carcass of a once great nation, and the Northern Continent. We cannot let this outpost fall.
::One of the brigade leaders returns to report::
Bryant: Wallace, report. Why did they fall back?
Wallace: It seems that vessel that just arrived had something to do with it. It's not one of ours, but it's certainly not one of the enemies.
::Bryant cast his eyes skyward, taking in the airship with suspicion::
Bryant: Either a chivalrous soul who chose to lend a hand, or mercenary scum that the Empire recruited. Get them on the radio.
Wallace: We're working on it Sir.
::Aboard the Hijrah, the static buzzed and crackled on Vincent's end until the voice of a young man came over it. His tone was commanding enough, but Vincent knew a petulant youth when he heard one::
Bryant: Unidentified Airship, we thank you for your support if that was you who made the enemy pull back. Kindly identify yourselves and state your business if you please.
::Meanwhile, Kaworu is among the Mage Knights and foot soldiers who are scouring the battlefield for their fallen comrades, doing what they can for the survivors and closing the eyes of the less fortunate::
Mage Knight: Sir Kaworu! Come quick! It's the Wutai girl from before! She's hurt bad!

Kaworu rushed over to the Mage Knight by Nyx's side. He noticed the blade in her side but was hesitant on what to do. He kneeled beside her and knew her wounds would require more than just the simple healing magic he knew and called out for help
"Medic! Someone help this girl!"
He looked to her and calmly tried to ease her suffering with words, weather or not she could hear him.
"It'll be ok, we're gonna get you help, it'll be ok."

::Her hand clamped tightly around his wrist as she was moved, great care taken not to remove the dagger that stuck out from her side. Then without warning she screamed, and her black eyes grew to saucer size. She began to thrash wildly until some of the Mage Knights took hold of her::
Subdue her.
::The voice rose in his head again and Kaworu's head whipped around to see Lord Leon, fully clad with four Mage Knights around him. One of them moved swiftly to his side and placed their hand on Nyx's forehead::
Mage Knight: Sleep.
::The Wutai Sorceress fell instantly still::
Leon: Report.
Bryant: We were swarmed my lord. We took care of the Imperial troops easily enough. But those... things... I'm sorry My Lord. We've neer fought anything like them before. And that great one came down on our forces like nothing I've ever seen.
Leon: I understand. We weren't prepared for that. However, there will be no surprises next time, so I will not endure any excuses. The people of Tzen and the entire Northern Continent depend on this outpost holding.
Bryant: Eh... Yes sir.
Leon: And the sky vessel?
Bryant: We're still waiting on a reply.
::The Black Knight's helm lifted to where the Hijrah still hovered above them::
Leon: Have them brought to me at once when they land.
Bryant: Yes Sir.

Finally, after a brief period of silence as the Hijrah circled around to find a suitable landing spot, the radio replied back to Byrant.
"Captain Vincent Kumi of the Hijrah, at your service. We just happened to be in the area, thought it might be prudent to stop on by and try some of that famous Tzen chocolate when we happened upon this little rough-up. Hope we didn't interrupt something important? If we're cleared to land, we'll be setting down."
Once they found a clearing, free of bodies and debris, the Hijrah roughly landed. The cargo hold opened and out walked Vincent, Nahla, and Miguel all three looking a bit smug with themselves as they gingerly descend the ramp.
"What was it that you called us last time, Nahla?" Vincent asked. "Big damn heroes, sir." Vincent nods, "I'm starting to like that title. Alright, who's in charge around here?"

(OOC: Big Damn Heroes indeed)
::Bryant and the Knights were on site the moment Vincent and his crew landed, the leader of the North Wind brigade looking a tad flustered at the rather abrupt introductions::
Bryant: Captain, my name is Sir Bryant, Captain of the North Wind Brigade of the mage Knights of Thamasa. I and my men thank--
::The boy knight stopped at once as the figure in Black Armor moved to the front of the Knights. Bryant stood at his side and his face grew solemn as he acted apparently as a sort of interpreter for the Black Knight::
Bryant: Our Captain Lord Leon, the Black Knight of Thamasa thanks you for your assistance and expresses his gratitude for saving the lives of his men. Captain Vincent Kumi of the Hijrah, your presence here honors us. He asks that you please allow us to return the favor by offering you food, shelter after you state the intent of your visit. You will forgive his skepticism, but he hardly believes that a mere confection, no matter how famed or tasty could lure a hero of your stature to such a dangerous warzone as this.

(OOC: Doooouuuble Pooooooossssst!)
::The Empire's flagship had begun to pull back into Vector airspace, and the swathe of destruction was only more apparent no matter the distance from it. Lord Noel reclined in his chair and sighed with both exhaustion and relief. He addressed one of his subordinates::
Noel: Giles, Send our report to the council. The tests were a success.
Giles: Success? We sustained almost as many casualties on our side from those... tests as we did from the enemy.
Noel: Then we'll simply have to re-calibrate the way we deploy our men. Put it into the report that "Captain Vincent Kumi" of the Hijrah aided the enemy. He's so eager to spit upon his Father's legacy we'll let him take the fall for the excess casualties.
Giles: With all do respect Sir, these men are citizens of Vector. Both the ones that were killed and the ones that will be aiding us in future battles. I think they deserve more than that.
Noel: And what would you suggest? That I fill our flagship with Phoenix-Downs for the entire nation? This is how wars are won. In order to make a nation great, you must destroy it. This is all part of the process.
Giles: I understand the baptism of fire. I am just expressing my concern that Vector may be lost in the flames. By employing that man and his... methods, we are relying on a monster that cannot be leashed. These fires we're starting may be blazing from the gates of hell itself.
::Noel's heavy eyebrows locked over his eyes in a scowl, still transfixed on the smoke rising from the battlefield::
Noel: So be it.

Vincent smirked, Nahla and Miguel giggled to themselves as Bryant made the assertion that they, as famous heroes, wouldn’t indeed risk flying through a warzone for some delicious confection of some sort of another.
“Well, you can tell this Lord Leon fella here that Nahla really loves her chocolate.” Vincent stated in a slight bow, nodding towards Nahla. Who replied with an embarrassed smile and nod. “And also tell him thanks for the invitation of hospitality, but we’ll just be taking our chocolate and leaving. With-“ He kicks the corpse of a fallen and smoldering demonic creature near his foot. “With these around, I’d rather not push my luck. I have this inkling that I’ve seen them in action before. Don’t think our friends in the overgrown vessel high tailing outa here will be any more problems for awhile, you all gave it a good beat down. Impressive. Besides, this certainly adds another layer to the delectable truffle that is the Empire’s ambitions, need to get in contact with an old friend about this. Unless there is anything else you need from us, we better get moving again.”
Nahla elbows Vincent’s back quite hard, clearing her throat.
“Also, if you’d like to return the favor, Nahla still wants her chocolates;.”

::The armored figure merely nodded to Bryant::
Bryant: Very well. If you'll follow us, we'll at least give you a hot meal at the fortress and then you may be on your way with all the... chocolate your vessel can carry.
::The gathering's attention was suddenly diverted as a shrill scream pierced the air. Two Mage Knights along with Kaworu were attempting to move one of the wounded and she wasn't cooperating::
Bryant: Medic, what is going on over there?
Medic: It's the Wutai Sorceress from earlier. She's been terribly wounded. A stab to the liver. We've managed to stop the bleeding we're doing the best we can with our elixers, but... something in her head seems to be off.
::The two medics carried her to where the meeting was as she continued to thrash. She thrust her hand out, reaching for something, or as if to keep something at bay, then she held a hand to her wound and groaned. As they set her down she rolled onto her side, letting her bone white hair spill over her face. Her strange black eyes seemed glossed over with pain::

“That’s mighty gracious of you all, but we ought to be hosting anchor soon, However, we will be delighted in taking that chocolate – for all our sake.” Vincent stated, leaning in close to Bryant, “She’ll likely sink us if she doesn’t get that chocolate asap. Burn the whole town even – she’s serious about her confections, quite frightening really.” He gave an innocent glance back to Nahla, who returned it in kind. “Help us-“ He stood back up, regaining his composure. “Well if its settle-“
Came the medic with Nyx and this caught all three’s attention immediately. They’d recognized her immediately – she did infact try assassinating them once. “Nyx…” Miguel muttered as Nahla and Vincent approached. Nahla kneeled down and inspected her wound.
“Captain, this isn’t natural.” She mentioned as Vincent stood beside her, watching.
“Can say that again – confirms it, this is August’s doing. Must of inscribed the blade specially for her.” He looked to the medic and Bryant, far more grievous in tone. “She’s dying and this isn’t a normal wound. Is there a cleric or priest around? Someone with knowledge of combating dark arts?”

Bryant: You two know each other?
Medic: Any standard form of healing we've already tried. Even the Holy Banner brigade's magic doesn't seem to be working.
::Bryant looked to his captain who again only nodded::
Bryant: Lord Leon has some knowledge in... a very dangerous form of healing. He trained a special brigade in it, but only three have ever had the stomach for it. They call themselves the Black Widow brigade. They reside in the fortress.
::Bryant looked to his commander for confirmation again::
Bryant: It... requires the energy of another to work. My Lord believes her condition right now is highly mental, and that in order to save her, the Black Widows may require the energy of someone close to her. She hasn't spoken two words to any of us save for Kaworu here, and that exchange was volatile at best. I understand this is asking a lot, but if she is truly your comrade, then...
::He was cut off by another scream from Nyx whose limbs suddenly seized up and went stiff. She rolled onto her back and the crew of the Hijrah was met with a sight most of them thought they would never see. Nyx's eyes were streaming with tears as agonizing as her screams::

All three of the sky pirates' eyes grow wide, their feet slinking back with their hands up defensively.
"Whoa now." Vincent stated, "I never said anything about comrade, shes..." Struggling to find the word. "She's more like a-" "Assassin!" Miguel chimed in.
Vincent nodded, "Yeah. Not exactly was I was going for but let's go with it, 'assassin'. We only know her because she tried killing us - albeit wasn't very good at it. Can't beat a pirate on their own ship, am I right, Nahla?" Nudging her, she appeared unamused. "Yes captain." "See, no comradery, just stabbery. Don't think we'd be much use."
He glanced down to her with those agonizing eyes, "Uh, Nahla, she's doing something and it's making me uncomfortable." "It's called pleading, you know that look you use to get back in the old pre-hero days when we raided vessels." "My my, certainly has been awhile then. But, again, not sure what we could do. We need Natalia."

Bryant: You mean the Demon Witch? I heard she was dead, slain by the hand of Rainii Loire. What would she have to do with our present situation?

"The one here worked for her, if you can believe it. There is another though, Lillith." Vincent explained. "She'd likely have a better understanding of what we can do without anyone risking some sort of horrible brain invasion. Who knows what August has planted in there - question is, can she be kept stable enough to transport for a few hours."

Medic: That might not be a good idea. She's in an incredibly unstable state. Any kind of travel could make her irratic, prone to further injure herself or those around her.
::Bryant looked back to his Captain once more, then to Vincent::
Bryant: This... Lillith, do you have a way of contacting her?

"Just may, keep your pants on." Vincent stated, drawing a two-way radio from his coat. "Tresk, come in Tresk."
Moment of silence, then someone replied on the otherside.
"Yes, captain?" "Tresk, try and reach Lillith, we have a little situation down here and could really use her insight." "Roger, captain. Give me a few minutes, I'll patch it through to you when I make contact." "Standing by."
Smugly, Vincent looked back to Bryant and the Captain. "We'll figure out what could be causing this before. Lillith is a bucket of insight on all this... stuff."

::Somewhere in the desert near Figaro, Gideon's meditation was broken by the sharp crackling of radio static. Hearing that it was coming from Lillith's bag and not wanting to be the one to reach in, he went to find the tempramental Sorceress. As was her new usual routine, she was practicing precision movements with her dagger::
Lillith...
::She ignored him at first, as if in a trance. Her slitted green eyes were focused intensely::
Lillith!
Lillith: What?!
That... radio thing.... in your bag. I think someone's trying to contact us.
::Not at all pleased with the interruption, she threw the dagger point down into the sand and snatched up her bag. It was a small travel bag, more like a backpack. However, everything that constituted their campground; the tent, the sleeping bags, the food, and even the firewood, tinder, and flint had been stored in that bag. Lillith dug through it, throwing various items out unceremoniously; spellbooks, atlases, a compass, until at last she reached the radio::
Lillith: Who is this?.... Oh Tresk, hi. What's going on. Is this important?

"Lillith! Amazing, didn't think I would reach you. Yes we do, I'm going to transfer the channel over to the Captain, he'll explain." There was a short silence, then the radio chimed in with Vincent on the line.
"Lillith? Not long to explain but somethings happened. The Empire hit Tzen and the place is dirty with August's fingerprints. Also, someone we know is on her death bed thanks to him. It's Nyx, she was stabbed, likely by August. The blade, the unusual properties of the wound, so on. The healers here can't help her, they say whatever August did it was targeted specifically for her kind and it's killing her. They say its mental, she may need the power of someone close to her. My questions though, we're the only ones down here that have any connection to her and albeit we're hardly 'close' to her, we're all wondering if we can even attempt this and even more so, is it safe for us. Any idea what could be happening here?"

::Lillith's hands indeed tightened around the radio at the mention of August's name, however the prospect of healing Nyx did give her pause. How well did she really know the woman? The only reason she'd even tolerated the glassy-eyed assassin these past years was because of her loyalty to Iole. But even her own relationship with her "sister-in-law" was strained at best. However, there was another present that they hadn't considered. Lillith felt the radio suddenly ripped from her hands. Gideon held it close to his mouth::
Did you say that thing injured Nicole?
::The elf turned to Lillith so fast his white hair whipped about him in a frenzy::
Lillith, how fast can we get to Tzen?
::Taken aback and mildly irritated as she was at the abrupt assumption of command the Freyan had taken, she could see the desperation in his eyes::
Lillith: Um... It's in the Southern Continent, but it's at the northernmost tip. At best it would take us a few days on foot to reach the coast. But, Kenny can your phoenix carry three?
::The sorceress turned to her husband::

((Sorry been waiting on where to post so here goes))
Kenny was practicing his sword moves to get ready for the battle that he and his wife were going to be encountering when he noticed that his wife was right now talking on the radio as something big was probably going on right now. He then saw Lillith reacted to something that may have upsetted her as she was clenching the radio tight until it was taken from her by Gideon, he then noticed that she was heading towards him as she was saying something about the Southern Continent and then she was looking at him asking about his Phoenix. "Well, my Phoenix can carry three." He then whistled the tone as the Phoenix screeched in the air and saw its master as it landed in respect while screeching a bit. "What is the problem?"
