The Garden had taken heavy damage from the assault of the Coven, but instead of being rebuilt like both Balamb & Trabia Gardens, it was left abandoned by the Galbadia Government. It wasn't until recently that the Garden was repaired and brought up and running. It seems a mercenary force bought the Garden and are using it as a base. In exchange for the Garden, a cease fire between the new owner and the Galbadia government was signed.
::After the mission in Wutai::
::One of the dropships lands infront of the Garden, the troops piling out as Kerion fallowed, only to be stopped by two guards::
Guard: The commander wants to see you personally.

::Inside the Head Master's office, which is now the Commander's Room::
Commander: Did you get what we were after Megura?
::Kerion, using that alias, nods before pulling out the key::
Kerion: Wutai put up a struggle, as did the guardians of the tower it was in. The old man at the top said the key is useless.
Commander: You are dismissed. ::Puts a envelope on the table and pushes it to him:: Your pay for the mission. But I suggest you don't leave, we'll be needing your services again sometime soon.

::After Kerion leaves::
Commander: One piece of the puzzle down. But I already know he has encountered some of the heroes. Seems I'll need someone on the inside to keep tabs on them. And I also have something planned for our hired gun. ::Looks to the shadows:: Shame he lost abit of his skills since going into hiding, otherwise he would of noticed you.
??: Shame indeed. I still owe him for shooting me off that building in Lindblum.
Commander: You'll get your chance, I promise you. As for your mission, I need someone to keep tabs on the heroes until the time is right. Think you can handle that?
??: I can, my master.
