"Um, thank you..." He replied before cutting the comm line, rubbing his ears. "Man I wasn't expecting that."

(OOC: Hey look! A new thread! Hope it's okay to post here Jas. It is after all your ship)
::The crew of the Black Jack didn't have much time in the way of introductions with their newcomer since their take-off was so rushed. That didn't stop Anya from giving Kerion an earfull though. Iole was in one of the back rooms, changing back into her usual torn jeans and high-top boots. She was still in her tank-top and her hair was hanging loose around her shoulders when someone knocked at her door. Her whole body tensed because she knew exactly who was on the other side. It was like knowing your foot was inside your shoe even though you couldn't see it::
Come in.
::She said casually before darting to the left side of the door frame. Once it opened, she lunged. Stefan went down in a blur of black and white, tumbling underneath her throw. He found himself on his back looking up at her, with her forearm pressed firmly against his throat::
Alright, you have three seconds to explain yourself and reverse whatever freaky spell you have on me before I throw you off the main deck by that head of pretty hair you obviously spend too much time on.
::The look on Stefan's face wasn't one of fear like she'd been hoping for. In fact she hated the expression he was wearing because it looked like she was feeding some kind of awful habit of his just by touching him::
Stefan: You know, I could easily throw you off of me.
You can try.
::Iole growled as her arm shifted into her white dragon claws. Stefan simply sighed and held up his own arm. Iole found her tactic turned back on her and gasped. His arm grew and from its flesh sprouted jagged red scales with claws to match her own. She fell back on her hands, scooting away from him, allowing him to sit up. Her eyes took it in, but her mind wasn't admitting it yet. Aside from its color, there were a few other differences. His arm wasn't sleek and defined like hers, but it had more pronounced muscles::
Who the hell are you?
::The young man replied without hesitation::
Stefan: Stefan. Stefan Dracul Sigismund.
You're...
Stefan: The Count's son, yes.
Is he...
Stefan: A dragon? Yes. What, did you think you were the only one?
::Iole narrowed her eyes at him::
If you're his son, why did you help us escape?
Stefan: I told you. I've met you before tonight.
In your dreams.
::She said haughtily::
Stefan: Are you telling me you haven't been having the same ones? Is that why you think I have you under a spell?
::She ground her teeth, but she didn't deny it::
What do you want?
::He smirked::
Stefan: You know, the usual. Marriage, tons of kids.
::She raised her transformed hand to backhand him, but he held up his hands in surrender, even turning his other one back::
Stefan: Just what I asked you for. Your name.
You already heard it.
Stefan: I heard a title. One you're not even sure of. I want to hear it from you. Is that too much to ask for someone who just betrayed his flesh and blood for you?
::Her eyes softened slowly as she watched the cavalier attitude he'd displayed moments ago fade away into sincere pleading. Finally she lowered her hand::
Iole. Just Iole.
Stefan: Iole.
::He repeated it slowly in a reverent whisper that gave her shivers::
Stefan: It's fitting. You're named for the sky.

Through the whole conversation, Oliver was struggling with his confliction over the whole 'Princess' situation recently reveled to him. He wanted to believe that Iole had really no firm understanding of the implications.
"A princess... an' Sigmund is a a dragon." He looked to Stephen with questioned eyes. "An' t'at makes t'e count a dragon?" His while understanding of dragons from Iole's realm was turned Topsy-turvy. "Ok explain to me t'en why we are trusting a word ye says? Back in Lindblum, we'd never give someone t'is closely related to the enemy t'e time of day, so why are we now?"
"By the gods I love you, but t'is is getting much to handle." Oliver reinforced, looking to Iole longingly. "W'ats the relation between you an' t'is count. Most importantly though..." His eyes redirected to Stefan. "W'y s'ould we trust ye at all. Far as I'm concerned, ya just anot'er enemy in a different suit."

::Iole rolled her eyes, and as usual let her hormones get the better of her::
I'm sorry Oliver, I can see how discovering so suddenly that I'm some kind of princess and that I'm supposed to care about the future of a whole kingdom of people must be very stressful for you! And you have some nerve comparing me to those palace brats we fought! I don't know a damn thing about the Count, or this guy!
::She pointed an accusing finger at Stefan as though the whole thing were his fault. And she was beginning to think it was. After all, before the night of that first dream, she'd just been on another adventure looking forward to finally settling down and having some normality with a husband and son::
Dammit all to hell, every time something about me comes out into the open it's like you have to question everything you know about me!

"Love," Oliver stated. "I don question, never. I jus' want to know ye. Ye cou'd be the Loci's prodigal daughter and I'd still love ye. Cause the mot'er of my son cou'd never, ever be a question in my eyes or heart. I'm just trying to figure all t'is out." He shook his head, running off his confusion. "Ye a complicated woman but damn if t'at'll make me sound resentful or suspicious of ye - I'm sorry if it appears t'at way. Frank'y, t'is knowledge makes me giddy. It's like some sort of fairy tail, the princess and the pauper, by the gods, I found the best woman in the wor'd and s'es greater t'e I could ever imagine. I just need to know how to protect you from the Count and the rest - t'at I'm uncertain about."

::Iole's face only reddened. Oliver had seen her like this a couple times before. Well more than a couple. And this was just one of those times she didn't want explanation or comfort, she just wanted to be mad. And anything he said was likely just going to make it worse::
A fairy tale?!!! Oh, so now this all sounds like fun to you does it? You're already planning the next step! Dammit, men are hopeless!
::She stalked for the door, still not bothering to put her T-shirt back on over her thin tank top. Oliver and Stefan both moved as if to follow her, but she held up a warning finger for both of them::
Stay away from me for a bit. And you,
::She turned her gaze to Stefan::
Stay away from me forever!
::And with that she stormed off::

"Uh,... wat?" Oliver muttered, confused and perplexed. He looked to Stephan. "T'is is your fau't ain't it?" He asked, confused - then banged on the door. "Iole, p'ease! Don't hide, let's talk." He contemplated her words, "I didn't say 'fun' but it is is exciting. Look at it from my perspective - a poor boy from the ghetto falling in love with a princess, it's the stuff of song. T'at's w'at I meant!" He looked to Stephan, "An yea. stay away, see t'at ring on her finger. T'at's mine and mine a'one." He grabbed Stephan "Any poor soul who trespass against me, whether it be beast or man, will suffer the bite or be stung dead on sight by I, who inhabit this land. For this the power and this is my kingdom as sure as the sun does burn. So you can enter this path, but heed these four word; 'You shall never return..." He threw off the aristocratic with disgust.

::Stefan grinned as Oliver turned away::
Beautiful verse. I'm not much for poetry mysel. I prefer to be a man of action.
::Elsewhere onboard, Gideon was startled off of his caught by a very irate Iole bursting through his door::
Gideon: What a surprise. Didn't expect to see you he--
::He cut off abruptly as Iole twisted his arm behind his back and thrust him out the door, not even bothering to give him an explanation. This had after all been her room on the flight over here, why should she have to explain. She reached into the small cabinet by the cot and pulled out a greasy pastry crust stuffed with ground beef and greedily stuffed it into her mouth. There were more hidden away along with a bottle of whiskey she'd nicked from Lillith's private cabinet at Leah Garden. She'd meant to share them with Oliver later that night, but that ship had sailed. Gideon passed Vincent on the way to the control room, assauging his sore shoulder::
Gideon: Wouldn't go down that way if I were you. She's "angry-eating".

((OOC: Don't mind if it moves the story along))
Anya: Well, it's going to be awhile before we get back to Leah Garden. Everyone feel free to explore the ship. But I have rigged some of the rooms as off limits to non-crew. Try and enter one of those rooms, and well... I'm not going to spoil the surprise. ::As everyone goes to leave:: Not you Kerion, there's something I need to talk with you about.
::After everyone has left the bridge::
"What is it you need to talk about?"
Anya: I didn't want that witch or that prince to hear this. Let me set the ship on auto first, its better if your shown as well. ::After typing in a few commands, metallic screens cover the main window of the bridge, causing the room to go dark with the exception of the small computer screen Anya is infront of:: Remember the data I hacked from Lindblum's Internal Affairs?
"I do, you also said that the data was destroyed. Not like you to get beaten at your own game."
Anya: True, but I found out HOW they managed to do that. ::Types in a few commands:: They had each file implanted with a virus that attacks the system, causing it to erase the data. But the thing is these viruses weren't programmed to self-delete. They remained inside the Blackjack's network. It took some time and alot of computer sweeps, but I isolated one of the viruses and picked it apart to confirm what I thought and I was right.
"What does that mean?"
Anya: These ones were programmed to delete SPECIFIC data, meaning it has a copy of it inside. It also took me longer, but I almost finished regathering the data seeing as there was many for each bit I got from the computer. I'll skip what you already know, and show you what I recently put back together.
::What appears to be an altar appears on the main screen.::
"I saw something like that before. When Gwen and August tried to bring the Yellow King into our world."
Anya: I know, something is not adding up. Are they intending to finish what was started years ago?
"I don't know. Continue looking through and inform me if you find anything else connected to this."
Anya: Will do. but there's another thing I want to talk to you about.
:What now?"
Anya: It's getting near summer vacation, and Maria has been contacting us non-stop to get her. She said she was given permission to leave early because her grades wouldn't suffer.
"::Sighs:: We'll get her after we drop everyone else back at Leah Garden. Is that all?"
Anya: That's everything. ::The room lights back up again as the screen pulls back away:: Go get changed, I know how much you hate wearing a 'monkey suit'.

::On his way back to his cabin to change, he ran into Gwen leaning against the wall, casually inspecting her fingernails::
Such a shame, that really is a good look for you. What did dear Anya have to say that kouldn't be brought into the open?
::When he hesitated, she looked up::
Sorry, force of habit. You don't have to answer that if you don't want. I know she still doesn't trust me. Jealousy kan be such an ugly thing.

"Information she hacked from Lindblum's Internal Affairs, and that's all I'm saying at the moment." He replied before he entered his room and closed it behind him, a sound of a latch coming down after that.

::Jas, now dressed back in his traditional clothing with Kyran in her kitten form on his shoulder sees Gideon pushed out of the room by an irate Iole. After she closes the door on Gideon:: "Let me guess, Oliver said something stupid to get her this angry."

"Nothing bad I hope." He joked. ::The cat on his shoulder jumps off and walks infront of Gideon, sniffing him:: His scent is defiantly familiar, almost like a twin. Kyran thought to herself.

::Gideon chuckled and rubbed the back of his head::
A good question.
::Jas blinked, and then a blur of white and a glint of silver obsured his vision. Gideon stood in front of him now, his legs lowered into a fighting stance, and a gleaming longsword held in front of him, positioned with its sharpened edges in between Jas' arms. All it would take would be a flick of the elf's wrist and both of the Cetra's arms could be severed just below the elbows::
What brought me here is writhing around your arms.
::Jas didn't have to look to know what the Elf was referring to. The shadows had responded to Gideon's threat::

"I see..." he replied. "I take it you know about Jezebel." ::Sees him nod:: "I haven't told the others, but she somehow left her mark on me when I destroyed her shadow back at the Garden. Thankfully Azurewrath and Shadowfang have kept it from advancing so I'm in no danger of falling to her."
