::Alicia Strauss lets herself into the Captain's to break the news::
The Sharpshooter's on our side. The one with the Cetra eye. Who knew after all these years we'd have a hero working for us. The world certainly is changing. Wouldn't you agree... ::She can't hide a coy smile as she says the next word:: Captain?
(OOC: Okay Jas, come right in).

www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwclmhuTu0E::The 'captian' smiles.:: "Indeed. These humans have no clue they're being used as pawns once again." ::He stands, nearly towering over Alicia, his grey hair tied back into a tail, dressed in typical police clothing, minus the badge on his right shoulder, looking to be in his mid-thirties:: "This will be intresting to see how things will turn out." ::Looks to her:: "You did deliver the targets that he's to go after at his appartment, didn't you?"

I am nothing if not thorough.
::The woman seats herself on his desk, crossing her legs::
I do take pleasure in watching these humans run around like rats in a maze, striving to give meaning to their short pointless existences.
::As she speaks, her skin takes on a dark blue hue, and her clothing changes into scanty black leather armor. A tail swishes back and forth behind her, and her honey-colored hair darkens to charcoal black. Astaroth sits on the desk now::
So has Kamikaze reported back yet? We can't have little Yami running around the streets killing more pedestrians. That would just draw attention. Honestly, she gets so worked up over the littlest things.

"I have him breifing the royals at this time so he should be back any minute. After he gets back, track Yami down and escort her here. I'll handle her." ::As soon as he finsihed speaking:: "Kamikaze, you're late."
"Sorry, a black cat crossed my path and I had to take the long route."
::A slience for a second::
"That was the worst excuse I ever heard."

Working with a demon, and a little kitty works your nerves does it? ::Astaroth smiles:: So what was it like working with the Regent? In any case, as per my other assignment, I was successful in tracking down the whereabouts of The Witch of Webs. But I'm afraid she's of no use to us anymore. And trying to... "repair" her would be counter-productive in terms of time. Not to be tight fisted, but as you've told me repeatedly, we do have a schedule to keep. Now if that is all, I'll be out looking for my darling little sister. ::She hops off the desk, her appearance altering and shifting as she does so until she's resumed the guise of Alicia Strauss. She readjusts her glasses as she starts for the door:: media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/238/646806-margery_default_large.jpgSee you soon Captain.

::He nods in agreement before looking to Kamikaze, still in disguise, as she leaves and closes the door:: "I apologize for the lame excuse, but some of the other officers outside were listening when I entered, they expected it. You did have to make the person I'm playing chronic late and use lame excuses."
"I know. How did your meeting with the royals go?"
"It went off without a hitch."
"Good, those fools might have another use for us."
"What are you planning."
"I'll explain when 'Alicia' and you, along with Yami are together. Now go and assist her in finding her. If she asks why you got to take her away, tell her its her father's order."
"At once." ::He exits, leaving the captain to his thoughts::

::Meanwhile, in a deserted alley, there's a man taking his last breath as he falls to the ground with a gaping wound in his chest. A young blond girl lightly pushes him off her blade. If there had been anyone around to witness this, it would look like she had just plunged a hidden weapon into him, but upon closer inspection they'd find this slightly inaccurate. She hadn't pulled a knife, her hand was the knife, right up until she changes it back and skips out of the alleyway, looking completely innoccent save for the blood on her short black dress. She stops short when she sees Alicia standing in front of her::
Astaroth: That wasn't very nice dear.
::Yami looks away from her::
Yami: He... he called me sugar.
::Alicia rolls her eyes::
Astaroth: He was hitting on you little one. It was meant as a compliment. And to his credit, he was a bit drunk.
::She sighs and pulls out a handkerchif from the pocket of her blazer::
Astaroth: Come here
::She starts lightly wiping away the blood::
Astaroth: Now then, your father would like to speak with you. But I'll give you the heads up now, you might be in trouble. Just go now and say you're sorry. He should buy it. I'll take care of the body.
::Yami nods and trots off while "Alicia" turns to the corpse. She kisses her palm and blows it towards the dead man which proceeds to crumble into dust before being scattered away in the wind::

If only I had that skill, it would make my old missions alot easier. ::She looks and saw it was Kamikaze who spoke to her mind, still in disguise, looking down at her from the top of a building:: "Looks like my services weren't needed in finding her, but I will escort her back." ::Jumps down from the building, landing skillfully on his feet:: "Offically, you're now off the clock. Go about town and have some fun." ::Walks past her and runs after Yami::

Not anymore we're not.
::"Alicia" calls back::
Didn't you hear about Gin Street? The LPA is trying to push forward again. We'll have to report to the Captain and recieve orders. Go back there, and I'll be along shortly. I just need to survey the situation.

::The office is quiet with the news of the LPA's victory at Gin Street. With "The Captain" at his desk with ihs eyes on the door waiting for the last member of the party to rejoin them and Kamikaze standing stoically at his side. Yami is the only one making any kind of noise as she plays by herself in the corner. Finally the door opens to admit Alicia Strauss::
Astaroth: Sorry I'm late. I forgot how difficult it is to get anywhere on foot these days.

"I know. How did it go?" ::He closes his eyes before opening them, a smirk on his face:: "Looks like our sharpshooter hasn't wasted any time in tracking one of the targets."

Astaroth: Perhaps, but he let a golden opportunity slide. That mess of a battle could have been ours if he hadn't hesitated to pick off those little urchins. These heroes are so sympathetic it's nauseating.
::She gripes as her form changes back to her demonic but no less seductive self. The blue color of her eyes looks like its leaving to cover her skin, spreading out until she takes on her azure hue, leaving her eyes their strange gold color::
Astaroth: But I think we should keep a closer eye on those two if they were able to evade a demon. I'll admit I wasn't counting on that. There were two who took out that building: A Burmecian with steel gray fur and a young woman... human I think.

"I know Kerion is an opprotuinist, but he is no fool. If he thinks those two would've been a threat, he would of killed them off before leaving. About said two, I know who one of them is, but it seems our sniper friend doesn't reconize her, Iole the shapeshifter. But her companion I have nothing on."

::Astaroth's conniving golden eyes shift to the small blond girl in the corner::
Astaroth: Iole? You mean the little shapeshifter that hung all over the Demon Witch like a disease? That ought to make Yami happy. A new playmate.
::She glides over to where the little girl is quietly playing to herself::
Astaroth: And what are you doing in the corner little one? Did your father give you a time-out? You really shouldn't be so hard on her master. After all, this is her first time in the big city.

"I know, but she also needs to learn restraint. Yami, you can get up now." ::The girl stands up and turns to her 'father', her innocent smile still on her face:: "I'm sure you also heard everything." ::She nods:: "And how would you like to meet Iole?"

::Astaroth places her finger under her chin thoughtfully::
Astaroth: Hmm... if I had known, I would have sent a stronger demon after them. Or at least one with a little more brains. This could mean I've left a trail. If word spreads from her that villains might be pulling strings on this side of the uprising, we might have more heroes breathing down our neck.

::The captian nods in agreement:: "And that is not what we need at the moment. They might know that someone working for the regent might be an outsider, seeing as they don't have the capablities for summons or magic. But with your summons death it can't be traced back to us, thanks to the fail safe we imbuned into them. But still... Kamikaze."
"Sir."
"Have patrols increased, we don't want them to attempt to sneak any of the other 'heroes' into the city, we got enough troubles as it is if Iole and her companions can handle a simple demon summon."
"At once." ::Kamikaze walks out the door, leaving the three of them:: "It seems we don't have to worry about anymore bombs, for the time being anyway. The bomb maker has been killed."

::Astaroth grins::
Astaroth: He's turning into quite the useful little tool isn't he. Well, if we're done here, I've got some damage control to take care of.
::Once again, the azure tone of Astaroth's skin is pulled into her eyes, leaving her with a fair complexion, her hair lightening to the sunny blond of Alicia Strauss. Her armor shifts back into her blazer and skirt that's so tight it leaves little to the imagination. Watching her transform, Yami scurries to her side and throws her arms around the woman's waist::
Yami: You're leaving?
Astaroth: I'll be back soon.
::About a half hour later, the printers uptown are paid a surprise visit::
Astaroth: Stop the presses! ::immediately, the whirring and hissing of the machinery that's churning out tomorrow's paper comes to a screeching halt:: I've always wanted to say that. Now then chief, if you don't mind I have a new lead story I'd like written out for the front page on the double.

::The captain looks up as one of the officers walk in:: "This has better be important."
"It is. Kerion has reported another terrorist. This time he's alive and apprehended."
"Take him to the interrogation room. I'll have officer Maxwell deal with him whenever he gets in."
"Roger sir."
::The captian sighs before pulling out a bottle of brandy and pouring a glass:: This will still be well worth it in the end...

::Meanwhile, in a seperate office (a little more opulent than the one the Captain occupies despite it belonging to his supposed secretary) two guards burst through the door. Held between them by the arms is a man with a bag over his head. Once pulled away, a man with a ridiculous red cap, a big nose, and hideous yellowish brown teeth casts his wild beady eyes around the office until they land on "Alicia" sitting cross legged on her desk with a crystal goblet of what looks like red wine in her hand::
Astaroth: Good to see you again Douglas. I hope the boys treated you well.
::Doug gives her a crooked half smile::
Doug: We've got to stop meetin' like this yer ladyship. I've already got Connolly breathin' down me neck.
Astaroth: My apologies. I hope business is doing well.
Doug: Well as could be with what yer payin'. But with all the LPA comin' in and out, and the guards, I can barely afford the booze I'm pumping information out of them with.
::With her free hand, she drums her blood red fingernails on the polished wood surface of the desk::
Astaroth: Really? Because the way I hear it, we're wiring you enough money to get the entire resistance, and the guards drunk twice, but you're only using about a quarter of what we send. The rest goes to your rather unfortuneate gambling habit... or your wife's rather expensive taste.
Doug: ::flabbergasted:: That's a right bit of slander there. Whoever's feedin' you that garbage, his father was a horse and his mother was a b***h.
::He barely blinks, and Alicia is on her feet, directly in front of him with one of her long red nails under his chin::
Astaroth: You will do well to watch what you say about her. She doesn't take kindly to insults.
Yami: Are you talking about me?
::Doug jumps at the sound of the young girl's voice as she appears from his perspective out of nowhere in the darker corner of the room. Alicia looks back at the girl with a fond smile, not releasing her hold on Doug::
Astaroth: Your curfew was thirty minutes ago young lady. Your father will be very cross with you.
Doug: She's the little...::He cuts his sentence short to reconsider when Alicia's nail starts to break skin:: Sweetheart who's been keepin' an eye on ole' Douglas? Nice to see she's keepin' me honest.
Astaroth: Off to bed with you now missy.
Yami: But why is he here? Does it have anything to do with the demon you set on Iole?
::Doug's eyes light up at the girl's lack of tact, and Astaroth snarls under her breath::
Astaroth: Now what did I tell you about talking too much in front of strangers. You remember what your father did to you the last time you let a secret slip.
::Yami stares at the floor sheepishly::
Yami: Please don't tell him.
Astaroth: It will be our little secret. Now off to bed with you.
::Yami nods and vanishes again::
