--Sometime in the summer after the Oliver's birthday party--
Upon the path leading to the Potter's Hill, Oliver walks along its stony trail. Emily in the air above him, soaring through the trees and darting down around him. It's clear and warm this mid-day, the grass is green and the trees move ever so slightly with the breeze.
Through the old iron wrought gate that has fallen into disrepair, Oliver walks, his furry hand softly stroking the cold metal as he passes under the archway. There, just up ahead, is the memorial to those who were killed by the Autumn Harvester, their ashes interred within the confines of the stone structure. An angel sits atop the base, looking to the sky and a brass plaque adorns the surface of the stone base.
There's a quote on it, "Ye flowers that drop, forsaken by the spring, Ye birds that, left by summer, cease to sing, Ye trees that fade, when Autumn heats remove, Say, is not absence death to those who love?". Below that are the names of the murdered.
Oliver kneels down before the plaque, running his hand over the cold brass surface till his fingertips trace the name Emily Tipp. He looks up to the angel, then turns around and sit up against the monolith.
"Hey mum... com'ta see ye again. Doin good, I am. I s'ill have ta flat an I'm workin a 'ittle at a printers. Teach'n me ta read better, tey are! Oh! Remember ta cap'ain I to'd ya about? He 'eft me sum gil ta keep me by, he did! Gos myself a account in a big, fancy bank! Imagine tat, lil'me with a hooty-tooty bank account! Don worry tou, I only use it for rent an stuff. Sorry I don se'ya as of'en anymore, work ye know but to'ay is jus too nice not ta spend it wit ye. Wis ya cou'd see an feel it. So warm an nice."
Oliver rummages through the little pack he brought with him, taking out some breed, a leather burgundy book, and the audiosphere Adrian had given him.
"Don min if stay awhi'e, do ye?"
He places the audiosphere in his lap, letting the song sung by his mother surround him as he opens the book and starts to read. As the melody plays, Emily the sparrow lands on the statue above him and chimes in with her own song to compliment the music.
