"Hey, Adrian!" Yells Vincent from his side of the table. "Thanks for showing us up! How can our gift now compare!?" "Leave it to a gypsy to show everybody else up!" Miguel chimes in.
Adrian bows. "It was entirely my pleasure."
Vincent points to both his eyes with one hand, then to Adrian. "I'm watching you." Both him and Miguel laughs after that.

*Jas sits back on his chair, smiling at the scene before him* [glow=white,2,300]I'm glad to see you're smiling again Jas.[/glow]
*Jas looks down at Kyran, who was sitting next to him due to the fact tigers couldn't sit on chairs* [glow=white,2,300]I thought you wouldn't smile again after what happened to-[/glow]
Don't even finish that sentence Kyran. That's still a sensitive subject for me and I don't want that to ruin the mood this party is giving.
[glow=white,2,300]Sorry, I wasn't thinking. Still, do you think they mind my presence indoors? I've seen some of the children look at me in fear when we came in.[/glow]
I'm sure they now know you're no threat Kyran, you're just taking things the wrong way. Just relax and enjoy yourself.

::Kerion alos sits back, his chair leaning on its back legs as he's deep in thought:: What could of made Dante dissapear like that, and leave Gil in his place? I wonder if it has something to do with that Memory Trigger of his.

::Lillith rolls her eyes at Vincent and Miguel's antics and puts her hand on her hip when Adrian tells her in a very serious tone that he'll be leaving::
I don't like the sound of that Adrian. Promise me you'll be careful. And write the kids once in awhile. They really miss you here.

"Of course, wouldn't have it any other way." Adrian states. "May I request that you accompany me to my ride just outside, Lillith, I have something to ask you and rather do it in a more private manner." The gypsy offers his hand to her. "Is that alright?"

::Iole smiles at Oliver, though it doesn't reach her eyes which are a little puffy and red around the edges. She's angry at herself for crying, and does her best to come up with an excuse::
It's a really great gift Ollie. I'm just kind of sad that my gift is going to look like crap compared.

::Lillith nods to Adrian, becoming very serious all of a sudden. The gypsy may be her friend, but whenever he wanted to talk to her alone, it usually concerned a bad omen, which so far had never been proven wrong::
Alright, I'm coming.
::She kisses Kenny lightly on the cheek::
I'll be right back.
::She takes Adrian's hand and gets out of her seat, letting him lead her out to the courtyard::
Well judging from your tone, I'm guessing this wasn't just a social visit.

::Iole stares reverently at the Burmecian woman in the photo::
She's beautiful. You've got her eyes.
::She sighs and reaches under her chair to pull out a rectangular package shoddily wrapped in tissue paper and haphazardly tied with a bright pink ribbon::
Here. It's not that great, but I can promise you it's not something you can find anywhere here.

There, in the courtyard, waits a gold chocobo. Adrian approaches the beast, strokes its feathers and preps her saddle while he speaks.
"Yes and no, Lillith. One thing I wish to mention to you is the concern I'm having over the nature of those photographs I gave Oliver."
He turns around, adjusting his kaffiya. "The Regent installed a Galbadian security network three years ago, in the Crest and other poor districts, fearful that a coup or revolt would threaten his power. The police are unaware of it and it operates on its own power-grid, maintained by the Lindblum Guard. I have a feeling that this is the start of something, something bloody, that will befall Lindblum soon. If a king is already afraid of his people, then this, we're seeing, is just the tip of more problems to come. I tell you for the sake of Oliver, Lindblum won't be safe forever."
Adrian turns to his chocobo and hops on, he adjusts himself on the saddle before looking down to Lillith. "But, my real question is! Tell me, what was it like to be in the presence of Locsel Kuth? Did he show to you the first agreement?" He stares off for a moment, lost in a day-dream. "Ah to see the Most Worshipful Ancient Brothers, what I wouldn't have given to have been there."

::Lillith sighs::
I'm hearing similar talk about Lindblum. Some are saying that the working class is starting a union. I'm thinking of cutting off his funding. I don't need dirty money coming to this school. I wouldn't be able to look my students in the eye if I supported someone who stomps on the weak. It's the opposite of what this school stands for.
::She listens to the rest of his story, and his question startles her. She had not mentioned Locsel Kuth when they spoke last. In fact, aside from telling him the respective fates of Rena, August, and Gwen, she hadn't disclosed anything of what happened on the Variola. How did he know?::
How did you know that? Are... Are you one of the Architects?

Adrian smiles, smugly. "Let's just say that I had no reason to show in Lindblum, based purely on some random serial murders, that is. Someone had to keep an eye on you all, make sure you were the right candidates for the job. You did good, all of you. Though... some better then others, least we've gotten another reprieve. What more could of been asked? Right?"
Adrian kicks the chocobo, waking the beast up. It moves around in the little spot before Lillith. "Well, I must be off." He pats a saddle-bag. "Have some of Mr. Krasnow's medical research to present to a review board. Might not be Esthar level, but since they keep their tech to themselves, why not give the common folk a better chance at health and life?" He gives Lillith one last wave before moving on. "Goodbye Lillith! Take care, and till next we meet! Kaa!"
He squeezes his legs together, whips the reigns and the chocobo takes off toward the main gate.

::Back inside, Iole watches Oliver open the gift she got for him::
You're lucky Shaft finished it in time for your party. Otherwise I never would have gotten it away from him.
::The tissue paper falls away to reveal a leather bound book with a burgundy cover. The title reads in gold lettering "Dual Winds" The Adventures of Gabriel and Lillith.::
It's a Freyan novel. I wasn't sure if you liked romance or not, but you seem to like magic. There's plenty of it in there. Anyway, it was all I could think to give you. Even Nyx seems to like it, and that says something.

::Lillith watches Adrian head for the gate, unsure of how to react. Adrian had known about The King in Yellow all along? After a few more moments, she decides that though they may be friends, she'll never fully understand that gypsy. She just laughs to herself as she watches him go::
You're a devil Adrian Zephyra.
::And with that, she heads back inside::

Oliver looks at the book curiously, then gives Iole a hug. "Tanks ye! 'ever had me own book before." He takes a quick flip through it. "No too good wit ta words though..." His face contorts trying to read the words. "Ehh, guess gonna have ta learn fas'ten!"
He leans in and gives her a little peck on the cheek. "Love it, Iole!"

"Hey, Oliver!" Vincent and Miguel walk up behind Oliver and Iole, in Vincent's hand is a wooden case and Miguel holds a little black book. "Since you're at that age where, hundreds of years ago, during the sailing age. Young men, such as yourself would join a ship to 'learn the ropes' as a midshipmen. One of the things they'd learn would be how to find latitude." Vincent escorts Oliver over to the table and places the case atop it, flips its latches open, and pulls back the lid to reveal a strange brass and glass instrument. He takes it out and lets Oliver see it. "It's called a sextant, and mariners use it to read the sun and horizon to find where they are."
Miguel then hands the boy the small book. "And here is the other thing you need with it. Has maps and degrees." "Yup." Says Vincent. "And with these tools, no mater where you go, you'll always know where you are. One the ride back, we'll teach you how to use it. Just try not to drop it, they're sensitive." "All ya need is some simple math and a good eye." Miguel chimes in. Vincent pas Miguel on the back. "Yea, if Miguel can figure out how to use it, anyone can!" Miguel frowns. "That hurts..."
Oliver looks at the interest with childlike awe at the strange, shiny object, as good as gold by his perspective. He thanks the two as he puts the device away for now.

::Lillith returns to the party and heads straight for the edge where Oliver is::
Not to overwhelm you or anything, but I've got something for you too.
::She puts a firm hand on his shoulder and looks straight at him with her mysterious green eyes::
But before I give it to you, I need to know, are you sure you'd rather go back to Lindblum instead of staying here. You're meant for big things Oliver, and this place can give you a fresh start. But if you want to go back, I won't stop you.

Oliver remains silent for a moment, he looks around to everyone assembled that he can see, especially to Iole and Lillith. He bites his lip, chewing on it for a second. He scratches his cheek awkwardly and breathes a little sigh. "Ya... tis me home, an me mum is til tere." He becomes a little more solemn. "Even if shes no a'ive... but is ta only p'ace I know. You don't have to apologize. Just remember if you ever need anything, you know where to find me. That goes for everyone else too. And to make sure you don't forget...
::She cups her hands over her mouth and breathes into them like she's trying to warm them. She keeps them cupped and lowers them to be eye-level with Oliver. When she opens them, a small brown bird is nestled in her fingers::
Melanie caught this little thing just the other day. Right now it's just a sparrow. But if you name it, it'll become your familiar, sort of like an animal guide. They can sense danger, find safe places, and even send messages.
::The sparrow raises its head and hops up and down in her hands a few times. Then it flaps its wings excitedly, taking off from Lillith's hands to land on Oliver's shoulder::
Seems its already taken a liking to you. What are you going to name it?

((You've just added an interesting element for the next sl.))
Oliver extends out a finger for the little bird to perch on, it flutters from his shoulder and lands there, close to his eyes. He looks at it curiously and smiles. "A... fam'iar?" He says puzzled. "Dun 'now wat ta is but I do gos a name." He pauses for a moment. looking at the bird. "I no who she is... is Emily."
