"Ya, I'm fine." Mutters Tresk to Clerian as he staggers over to the intercom. "Nivzad, come in, damage report."
"Engines are going to take awhile to get up and running, told the capt' not to take her out of drydock early, but does he eve-"
Tresk cuts Nivzad off early. "Was a boring conversation anyway, alright, let's take this fight to them!"
Nahla now has made her way to the armory and has helped her to a battalions worth weapons. She brings them too the galley, spreading them across the table. Rafee meets her and they begin to pick through the weapons.

::Rainii follows the others out of the Ragnarok, currently more concerned with the state of the people in the Hijrah then what their next plan of attack is. She's relieved to see that everyone seems alright, if not a bit shaken and bruised.
Now that everyone's safety has been accounted for, she begins to think of what they're going to do next. For once, she's unsure.::
"I hate to bother everyone, but...what now?"

The Variloa slowly encroaches closer and closer to the city; the Plague-Coats once again take flight, swooping once low over the two ships, then begin another assault. Some take to tearing at the hull, while others revert back to their human forms and unleash a magical attack against the ships and those unfortunate to be outside.

"Dammit! To arms!" Nahla yells, hearing the creaking of stressing metal against iron claws. She cocks-back a large rifle, tossing a shot-gun to Rafee as they charge out to the loading bay, the largest point of attack and most defended from above.
Tresk, on the bridge, pulls out a small pistol from a drawer at Miguel's chart station. "Get out there, I'll defend the ship. Good luck... you're going to need it. Nahla and Rafee should be in the loading bay."
Tresk spins around quickly as a raven plague-coat slams into the bridge window, his gun drawn to the creature just beyond the reinforced glass. "I got this."

"Oh dear..." Morgan commented looking around, his first instinct, casting protect on all those around him.
Cara, rather tactlessly looked at Rainii, "Well... You wanted to be leader... What do you think?"
Morgan was shocked at the comment, "Cara..."
"What? She did?"
"I'm sorry about that, Rainii..."
"Don't apologize for me!"
"As for what we should do..." Morgan hesitated, "I think we might want to consider regrouping away from here. Although... Getting away may not be an option anymore..." He kept glancing over at the oncoming plague coats... "Whatever we do... We should hurry."

"I think we're going to have to fight..And hopefully try to help save the people of Jidoor."
::The plague coats keep coming toward them, and seem to be approaching at a faster rate now. Rainii unsheathes dissention, and prepares herself.::
"And Morgan...You're right...Getting away doesn't seem like an option anymore."

:The target in the scope steadies and the blurry focus clears:
"I'm glad you're alright, did I tell you that everything turned out ok after the war?"
:Wierzbowski smirks and takes another drag from his cigarette. The small room is filled with a cloud of smoke. He leans on his rifle and looks inquizitively to his comrad. Chamber squeezes the trigger preparing to fire. It had been awhile since he was actually up and about, but months of rest after the war was exactly what he needed. He thinks to himself that jumping into more combat immediately after recovering may not have been the best idea, but career soldiers like Ski have nothing more to do without being lost and he couldn't just leave him on his own:
"....yea..."
:The gun fires off, taking down one of the oncoming attackers to the airship:
Chamber: "I must admit that your recon information was perfect. We made it just in time to actually help them."
:Ski grins and finishes off his cigarette in peace. Chamber takes aim again and fires, another target falls. Chamber continues thinking, but his mind strays when he notices some of their friends in his scope:
Rainii...I'm here...
(OOC-Alright, Loci, don't go balls to the walls on attacking me....and no one needs to really acknowledge me right now unless Rai somehow wants to by sensing Chamber, but I'm jut trying to get back into the mix and show you guys I'm around, however I'll be gone over the weekend. I'll slowly get into the blend though.)

:: As soon as Julie sees the plague coats, she takes out her gun. Quickly loading one of her normal ammo clips, she takes aim and fires a wind-elemental round at the nearest enemy. She tries to find some cover, as usual, but only the Ragnarok and Hijrah themselves would have provided any where she is. ::
I almost forgot how much I hate fighting in the open...
:: Now that they're in the fray, though, Julie doesn't feel quite so useless. Taking a shot at another plague coat, she replies to Rainii's comment. ::
"I don't think getting away was ever really an option..."
:: She leaves it at that, but it's obvious that one of her top priorities right now is helping the people living in Jidoor. Even if the team could have gotten away safely. ::

:: Without warning, a harpoon sails down from the sky. Ward, who nobody really noticed had disappeared somewhere, is standing on top of it. The weapon impales a plague coat, pinning it to the ground, but it fails to pierce anything vital. A burst of machinegun fire rips into the immobilized plague coat, accomplishing what the harpoon had failed to do. The source of the gunshots is none other than Laguna, who is grinning at his fellow ex-Galbadian-soldier from the exit ramp of the Ragnarok. ::
"How's that for troublesome?"
:: Ward replies by pulling his harpoon out of the ground and hurling it at another plague coat that Laguna hadn't noticed was aiming for him. This time, the harpoon hit the mark. Ward smiles, very slightly, but his amusement is much more expressed in his eyes. ::
Ward: "......"
:: Laguna groans ::
"Fine. It's a draw."
:: Ward casts a very quick glance at Laguna as he retrieves his harpoon. ::
Ward: "......"
:: Laguna nods, readying himself for the next attack ::
"Good point. We should concentrate on the mission."

Inside the Hijrah, only the steady hollow sound of running footsteps are heard - and with each few steps a loud thump is heard. The falling of a Plague Coat.
On top of the Hijrah, the ex-SeeD Clerian Soulflare is charging his way toward the exterior of the bridge, fighting and felling each Plague Coats that comes his way. A crew member follows his path by following along inside the pathways of the Hijrah until finally he enters the bridge - seeing Clerian slide down the reinforced glass.
For a while, Clerian slid down - maneuvering and cutting through the invading Plague Coats with incredible agility - until he finally skidded to a halt. The Plague Coats quickly took notice of the newcomer and came to swarm him.
Clerian, knowing there was only one way out of this horrible idea that didn't involve him dying, knelt down and closed his eyes. As he did so, the Plague Coats came bearing down on the seemingly defenseless young man, intent on bringing a swift end to him. Just as they were within arm's reach, however, Clerian opened his eyes and threw his arms out.
With them came torrents of fire and burning gusts of wind. A large gale, full of inferno and cutting winds, came sweeping over the Hijrah's bridge exterior - incinerating the flock of Plague Coats that had gathered. Clerian, reasonably spent after that particular spell, slumped over and rolled off the glass, landing on the earth below in a kneeling position.
Taking deep breaths, he promised himself, "That's the last suicidal idea for a while." More Plague Coats would surely come to attack the Hijrah in the place of those who had been killed, but at least he had given the crew a breather.
After taking a moment to recover, Clerian stood up and headed over to where the crew of the Ragnarok had gathered.

(OOC: I'm just gonna assume this is okay...)
Morgan took his staff and focused Holy, Blizzara, and Aero.
"Holy Storm!" A flurry of light poured into the oncoming plague coats.
Cara hesitated, not wanting to get close quite yet. She didn't know much about the plague Simon had spoken of, but it impressed her enough to be wary. Instead, she took this time to back up near Rainii. Her odd sense of when to bring something up.
"You weren't offended were you? Oh, do you have a spare gun lying around? I mean... If I spoke out of turn... I guess I am sorry." She looked at Rainii for a moment, "I just wanted to turn to you for orders. You seem like an ideal leader..." She kept an eye on the attackers, wishing she had a ranged form of combat.

Iris stepped out from the Ragnarok and fired three chilling arrows at a plague coat, spun around, fired another three shots, then walked to the others at a quick pace,
"Fight and flight, that seems prudent. Get their numbers down until we CAN run."
She readied herself for a counter attack.

Walking toward the group, Clerian let off a Flare spell, killing an incoming Plague Coat.
"We don't run until we get the people of Jidoor out safely. The Order will mutilate them all if we don't do something about it," the ex-SeeD dictates with an authoritative voice. Even if they left, he would concentrate on his mission. Maybe it was because he was a SeeD, but then again...
"I suggest we split into groups and head into Jidoor to help who we can. Were we to move as one huge group, we'd have the entire swarm concentrated at us and we sure as hell couldn't plan our way out of that. Smaller groups can act efficiently while splitting the focus of the Order," Clerian suggested.

"Cara and I can try to sneak into town to evacuate them. I can cast an invisibility spell on a few people and we can go undetected. We just need a distraction as I cast the spell."
Cara nodded, "But will it be just the two of us? You guys may need more help than we would."
They looked at the others, both thinking one or two others would suffice.

:Wierzbowski slowly gets up and approaches the window that Chamber had been cautiously sniping from and leans against the wall. Chamber cracks off another shot and leans back to reload:
Chamber: "Yes?"
:He looks up briefly inbetween reloading his rifle:
"Sir....shouldn't we go down and help them out?"
:Chamber finishes and sets the rifle down:
"How many times....damn....how many times do I have to tell you to quit calling me sir?"
:Ski grins and tosses his cigarette out the window:
Ski: "Sorry man...its just.....shouldn't we help? I feel useless being up here doing nothing."
:Chamber nods:
"Yea....but we're in better cover from here and of better use withour eyes. I assure you we'll head down eventually, but for now we're better help from afar."

The Variloa begins to descend, hovering close to the ground. Hatches on its port and starboard side open and a number of Black-Deaths descend from lines. Once on the ground they take up battle positions and charges toward the ships and the group of intrepid heroes.
Oddly, the Variloa itself appears to not have any other weapons aside from its capital weapon, least it hasn't employed any smaller weapons.

"Now!" Nahla yells as she leaps from her firing position, rifle ablaze with gunfire as she charges towards the Black-Deaths. She meets the fray head on, bashing a death in the face with the butt of her rifle, sending his flying to the ground.
Rafee charges beside her, his shot blasting two or three Deaths at a time, knocking them back into others. "Come on!" He yells in blind adrenaline, cocking his shotgun with one arm before sending another blast of shot into a Death.

::Rainii nods at Cara and Morgan, agreeing with their plan.::
"Those of us out here can be the distraction, if you can try to get people out. I don't suggest that many of us go in with you, though...We're gonna need all the help we can get out here!"
::A plague coat charges Rainii, but she manages to spot it quickly and dispatch it just as fast. She then looks back at Cara and Morgan.::
"You might want to hurry."
::She returns her attention the the plague-coats and the newly entered black-deaths. As she's fighting, she has the strange, nagging feeling in the back of her mind that someone else was here--someone she knew very well, someone she wouldn't expect to be there. She looks around, and doesn't see anyone who hadn't been with them before. Still, the feeling refuses to go away.::
