Personality: Iris is very soft-spoken and mysterious. Almost aloof. She's delightfully charming, in spite of her distant nature. She's more than willing to council others when they're racked with emotional hassles.
Occupational History: Iris is a metaphysicist, specializing in aura readings and future predictions. Her business is fortune telling, travelling place to place filling the void in the average person's minds, hearts, and lives. She's an expert at all sorts of fortune telling. At times, she will prey on those who are far too trusting, though she feels she is teaching them a valuable lesson. Due to this rare tendancy, she has been criticized as a fraud. However, her power is very real. She's also has highly potent psychic powers, which she uses in her travels, for transportation, defense, and amusement.
Family: Iris is the cousin of Edwin Gault. The cousins are on good terms, but see each other rarely. Their paths in life vary too much to present a reason for them to be in contact often.. Her parents are both living happy lives, though they sometimes wish, as does the whole family, that Iris would choose a more sensible occupation. She doesn't hold it against them, though. She knows that they envy her intuitive ability. Trust me... She knows.
Health: Iris has excellent mental health, but she gets sick often, mostly colds and fevers. She gets over them quickly though. She's not very strong, much like the rest of her family, but she can make up for it with her psychic abilities.
Mission: Iris' motives are conceiled by her mysterious aura. The closest anyone has ever gotten to an answer for Iris' life mission was a brief, vague, and cliched statement: "I wish to show people that they cannot know all of what's in the world, if they refuse to accept what they can not understand."
Special Abilities:
Psychic Aura: Iris defends herself with this aura in many ways. She can concentrate it into beams or bolts to attack, or form a force shield around her. She can illuminate objects and instill "a feeling" upon others, allowing her to speak her mind, without actually speaking.
Telepahy: The latter use of her aura is made almost moot with her ability to tap into other's minds and speak to them mentally. She can send and recieve messages, in her voice or disguised. She can even send ideas into the minds of others, but they have to be especially willing to accept them. This drawback makes mind-control impossible upon most sentient beings.
Minor Mind Control: Though she cannot control humans (at least without full consent) she can focus her powers to take over the minds of small animals. Once again, they can't have too much of a resistance to the power, or else it doesn't work.
Fortune Telling/Preminitions/Predictions: Iris can forsee the future. Minor things can be divined merely by focussing, but large things must be given, either in a dream or in a possession-like trance. She's also has a gift for extremely accurate hunches.
Trance: While in this state of possession, Iris has access to the otherly worlds, and can sometimes peek into the future. She is able to cross the planes, via astral projection. Though this is a powerful ability, she cannot interact with anything corporeal in other planes, and her physical body is left helpless.
