In Treno, a magnificent ball has been prepared for all of you in honor of your 'fine' accomplishments in Vector. I do hope you will all attend, it's sure to be quite a celebration. Be sure to dress for the occasion and bring your invitations that were sent to you.
This is the first part of the new storyline that will finish up everything dealing with Loci - including, Natalia, who the Hookah Smoking Men are. I do hope many of you will partake, this won't be nearly as intense as our previous storylines, but don't think it will be a cake walk. I've spent alot of time preparing this, and its sure to test your every wit, sensibility, as well as your stomachs.
Remember, jackals feast upon the dead and bring with them plagues.

Either battling the beast known as Laughing Boy or having already fled from the burning city of Treno, our merry party of heroes have now only questions to ask. Who were those people, why did they set up such an elaborate trap? What possible purpose could they have? Who was that strange creature that emerged from the darkness to aid them? These questions and so many more go unanswered... for now.
So far we've encountered several of the Order's troops, these include: Plague Coats: Cult magicians whose bodies are covered by a long leather coat, gloves, knee-high boots, wide brimmed hats, and a head piece that resembles a bird, perhaps raven, with pronounced beak stuffed with herbs and incense as well as glass eyes. Various magics are their weapons, including transmutation -they can turn into large horrific disease infested ravens- as well as glass orbs filled with pestilence and disease. They are the ones attempting to revive Loci as well as performing various other twisted experiments. --Commanded by Mistress Yersinia
Blight Hides: Hyena/jackal packs that are riddled with disease and attack with precision and cunning, used as forward attacks to soften up cities and towns. Also guard their base of operations. A bite by one of these creatures leads to a violent infection and possible death or symptoms reminiscent of the original Infected. --Lead and controlled by Laughing Boy.
Black Deaths: Rank and file guard of the Order. They wear black hoods, light and mobile armor and black face paint or masks. They use various weapons, blade and firearm alike as well as lower level magics. Known to mutilate themselves in battle much as Loci had. The purpose appears to be purely symbolic. – Commanded by the Council of Jackals

What is the Order itself: "Order of the Locus or “The Order”: Emerged shortly after Loci’s demise, using the war with Elise Sands as a cover to build up their organization and gain a strong foothold. The cult wishes to complete what Loci had already set in motion. Their goal, much like Loci’s, is to destroy the Celestials and their creations in an act of revenge as well as to have Loci take his ‘rightful’ place in the sun. First, by subverting people through brainwashing or fear tactics, then working their way up from there until their goal is complete. They have been called a death cult due to their horrible nature and treatment of their ranks. They have extensive funds with finances coming from members as well as the Shepherd's own pocket. They have attempted to revive Loci using his blood and other biological material collected over the years by various agencies, however most attempts outright failed except for one (i.e. Laughing Boy), though the results we’re not what was expected. They are also searching for a perfect host to act as the new vessel for the Locus – the entity that possessed what became Loci, should a reconstruction of Loci's body fail. It is speculated that they may hold up too 16 out of 23 shards of his fate crystal. They are headed by the one called 'The Shepherd', an unknown figure who helped found the cult along with Loci himself."
We've also learned about the cultists themselves: Cultists: Lowly members of the Order who perform the day to day operations of the Sanctuary as well as act as agents embedded within the local populaces. Wear dark hooded robes with red scarves across their mouth when not in hiding. Have a distinct smell that can be detected by animals or those with highly tuned senses.
Now the merry band of heroes has met the one called Simon, former member of the Order. Though his demands for information were unusual, they had little in the way of options otherwise if they wish to stop Loci's rebirth and get Miguel back from the Order's twisted, sick hands.

The entirety of the the Order's operations have been revealed during a meeting in Esthar. Newly revealed are the:
Red Deaths: The Order's elite guard. Similar to Black Deaths in concept and apparence, aside from the stronger armor, stronger magic, and the red apparence. Interesting note is their masks. The masks mimic the exact moment of death from their last victim, with each kill, the mask changes, becoming more and more twisted and agonizing. These troops are not to be underestimated, they supposedly have training similar to that of SeeDs. They too mutilate themselves in battle, but, unlike the Black Deaths, their blood is tainted and volatile. If you ever had a run in with Loci's blood, this will feel very similar.
Repugnants:Clockwork golems of flesh and metal created as a heavy unit for the Order. They are constructed from the various body parts and bits of flesh left over from the experiments, namely those pieces that weren’t fed to the Blight Hides. They are built atop metal clock-work frames which makes them tremendously tough. They are extremely strong and resistant, like walking flesh tanks.
Pestilence Rats:Cannon fodder, they are twisted and strange creatures of indeterminable origin, perhaps at one time humanoid. They propel themselves forward in battle, tooth nail and claw, with one goal - to die. Their corpses explode with flesh, blood and foul disease, spewing out over enemy ranks. They are possibly the remnants of the Infected, those that were too far gone to be cured after Loci’s defeat.
Magical Bandwidth Frequency Suppressor (or something like that): The Order's scientist discovered that each school (spectrum if you wish) of magic runs on a specific bandwidth and each of these bandwidths carries with it several thousand different frequencies. So to counter magical attacks not from the Order and its members, they block all these frequencies except for the few the Order uses. Basically, when you are within range of this device, you can't use your magic unless your magic happens to be of the same frequency as the Orders. However, if you can find and destroy these devices then a school of magic will be open to you. Each box only blocks one school of magic.
Now a plan has been formulated to deal a crushing blow to the order and rescue Miguel from their sadistic clutch.

After the failures of both plans to strike a critical blow to The Order, in a defiant counter-attack from them, missiles launched from an abandoned Galbedia missile complex struck Esthar's heart, knocking out a portion of the cities infrastructure and military command.
Stay tuned for further updates.

Esthar has been left in ruins after the Order's attack. President Laguna has fled to the safety of a bunker in the Salt Flat and Vincent and many others have taken back to the air with a plan to use the Order's tactics against them.
Regrouping now in Timber, preparing for the battles ahead, two new members have joined their party: Zang and Foxith.
Now, as they step closer and closer to reuniting the lost crewman of the Hijrah, Miguel, with his beloved captain and ship - a sinister storm approaches that may hold more then a tempest of troubles for the intrepid 'heroes'.

Timber proved to be a devastating battle for everyone, with a new ally that emerges from the shadows, the Order still deals a crushing blow both physically and mentally.
Here, for the first time, we see what the Order can really do with their magic. Louis: Ouroborous- A devastating magic based attack that mimics almost a GF. Black tar holds you to the ground, a otherworldly serpent appears and circles you. Then plunged into a white void where you are swallowed up by the creature before being released as the belly of the snake is split open by Louis's jittes.
The Shepherd: Ciervo Vulnerado- This attack not only sucks the very essence of life from you but then uses it as an explosive weapon that leaves everything in the general vicinity leveled from the shock-wave.
Tetragrammation- The Shepherds powerful chain healing spell.
Now, with Foxith infected with a cocktail of disease coupled with frustration and tempers starting to run high, will they be able to make it to Galbadia and give the Order a taste of its own medicine before they tear themselves apart.

The attack against the Order has commenced, beginning with a missile strike from Galbadia that has ripped the place in two.
Loci has been revived as well, following Simon's betrayal, using a piece of the magicite from Foxith as the final part of the puzzle. However, he seems to be behaving strangely. Loci has brought Galeon back to help fight against him and appears to have a very different plan then what the Council's original doctrine stated.
Now, the Tetra Flare has engaged the Variola in the skies above Burmecia while Foxith and Yang, with a group of others, have infiltrated the Sanctuary with the intent to break Yin out and disrupt the Council anyway they can.
The Hijrah crew and others are moments away from beginning their assault on the Sanctuary with the goal to finally topple them before any more of their plans can be implemented.

The Order has fallen, their sanctuary and ranks have collapsed and been scattered by the sea. The Council lays slain as well and crushed under the weight of their own devices. Though the victory is bitter-sweet, with the death of Cherai and Natalia strange disappearance.
In the end, Loci martyred himself to the swirling vortex that was the gateway to the Celestials's realm in order to secure the escape of the 'heroes'. It leaves some to wonder what his true intentions were and why he suddenly had a change of heart, however this may never be known.
Perhaps now there can be some peace in the worlds, as the last of the old generation are silenced.

Well since the storyline has finished, I decided to give you all a little bonus features and deleted scenes on various aspects of the story that were either changed, dropped, or alternate endings. If you did or didn't know, the basic storyline was completely written out prior to it starting, so here's some of the original ideas.
First beginning with a location never used: -Library of Forgotten Lore: A library lined with tomes and volumes of forgotten, banned, or a cursed nature. The knowledge and black magic stored in here is worth more then its weight in occult value. - Was going to be used if you had chosen to kill Loci instead of letting him live.
-Simon was originally going to live through the story, but due to how other characters were interacting and weaving the storyline, it was determined it would be better for him to be killed off.
-Had you all chosen to kill Loci, you would of actually have chosen the worse of the two options. Upon his beheading, the Locus would of been freed to find a new host and this new host? Why none other then the Mistress Yersinia herself, she would of come back at a later date if I felt like it.
-Originally the story had called for more attacks on cities and several assassination attempts.
-Laughing Boy was another Death Door option, along with a Biggs and Wedge cameo, and instant death.
-Using the broken bridge, aka "Path to Enlightenment" was the original escape route.
--The unused angel statues, they were generally written to relate to certain characters or if time permitted: -Angel of Massacre: An angel with six arms that is tearing apart another angel, limb from limb, while one arm feeds the angels flesh to its mouth as the other hand feeds the flesh back to the other. “I feed of thy own flesh and blood.” -Angel of Needles: An angel whose arms cross its chest with fingers that are long and sharp like needles which cut into his own body. “Self -infliction sets me free.” -Angel of Sorrow: A weeping angel. “I lament these last hours.” -Angel of Blades: An angel who appears to be killing itself with swords, with one he stabs himself through the head, the other through the lower abdomen. “Angels too deserve to die.” -Angel of Voracity: An angel who’s consuming several children whole. “I Swallow innocence in guise.”
And that's it for what I can remember was to be done differently. Just thought I'd mention it.

I'm so glad you did not use those other angels. If you had I might have actually had to kill you.

Well I also expected Cherai to have lived and maybe more characters involved in the final battle, one for each character or there about.

Well, nice to know Dante's thinking and observance had done some good. Though it is rather sad for to rid of your character... though I have not been around long to know your character. Sorry if the choice made was painful.
