Adrian shrugs, unsure what event the cards could be depicting. He picks Ashi up along with the remander of the cards, placing the snake around his neck and the cards back into their pouch.
"Who is to know, it's for you to determine their signifigence, I am just the translater. They could mean nothing or everything, it's all a matter of pesonal preception. They mean nothing to me, but for you, wouldn't be surprised if they mean the world."
Adrian scoots back on the cot and spins around to lay down, crossing his arms under his head for support. "If you happen by some food, could you bring me some? They haven't fed me yet, I think that Rafee fella doesn't like me much. Typical for a man of Mobliz, they think all the Kaipos-" He shakes his kaffiya, "Are nothing but theives and beggers. It's so archaic."

-Elsewhere-
"Is that so?" Miguel nods in response to Vincent's intrigued question. "Seems I'll have to have a few personal words with Rafee, from prisoner or guest, we do not steal within the confines of these bulkheads. Hold for a second."
Vincent takes the intercom and speaks into the mic. "Nahla, search Rafee for a small little jewel and bring it to me, asap. If he resists... use invasive measures. That is all."
He hangs up the mic and looks back to Miguel, a devious little smile on his face. "Well, now that this matter is taken care of, set up our bedioun friend with some proper bedding and accomidations. But!" He points a scolding finger to Miguel. "Don't keep your eyes off him, tell the same to the rest of the crew, he's still a gypsy. Don't want random items to suddenly disappear around the ship, had enough things stolen from us already. Anyway, carry on. Check with Lillith, see if she needs anything. You know the drill."
Miguel nods. "Will do captain." He then turns and departs.

::Lillith gives Adrain a reassuring pat on the arm::
Don't worry. I'm sure they'll warm up to you. I'll go see about getting you some food.
::She leaves the cabin and heads toward where she assumes the kitchen would be when she bumps into Miguel::
Oh hey. Do you know where I can find the kitchen? Your guest in there is starving. Not very hospitable of you.

"Oh! Lillith, um just was coming to find you. I had no idea about that, here let me show you to the galley."
Miguel guides Lillith down the hall and to the left, into the well lit galley adorned with several paintings of old sailing vessels. A long table rests in the center of the room, one where Natalia sat the first time she ate with the crew after being plucked from the water. A few feet away from the table is the counter that leads to the galley kitchen.
"Yes, food is back there. Grab anything you like, want a drink, Lillith?" Miguel walks to a small table set off to the side atop which sets a decanter.

Well, I'm not particularly hungry, this is for Adrian.
::She starts gathering a small plate of food, only guessing at what Adrian would like since he didn't really tell her anything::
But...
::She looks around as if afraid someone might here::
Do you have any whiskey?

"None here, Vincent may have some in his private stash. Only have rum and sherry over here." Miguel takes up the decanter and pours himself a glass of sherry. "Not my personal favorite but its nice to change things up once and awhile. So, Lillith, how has things been since Natalia got axed? Running a school now you said, sounds like too much work."

::Lillith can't help shuddering at the almost callous way Miguel describes Natalia's death. She decides to ignore it. He has his own view of her, and she'd prefer not to argue with him::
It's not too bad actually. At first I was worried, I don't have too much experience with kids. But Shaft and Rosalind have been a big help. And I'm so proud of the way my students are coming along. No one can say we're not a garden now.

"Well-" He gulps out after downing a sip of sherry. "Be careful, look what keeps happening to Balamb, next thing you'll know, you be the target of ever crazy world conqueror wannabe out there."
He lazily walks to the table, pulling out a chair to take a seat. Setting the glass down infront of him. "So what ya make of this new situation down there on the ground? Something to be worried about, you think?"

::Lillith laughs at his concern for her school::
I think with that many sorceresses in one place, we shouldn't have too much to worry about. Besides, Balamb has just been asking for it. The SeeD's have grown pretty soft since the Ultimecia war. Maybe after Natalia they'll be a bit more wary.
::Her face grows serious when he asks about the current situation::
How concerned can we really be? It's the same as always. More war, more destruction. But if it really is Galeon... that might be a different story. But... do you think it's too late for him? Is there still a way that he can come back? He's suppressed Jenova before hasn't he?

Miguel nods. "Yea, during the Order War, but that was forced into remission by Loci. No one I know around today is strong enough to do something like that." He takes another drink. "Did the gypsy say anything after I left that could provide insight?"

::She debates whether or not it's a good idea to tell Miguel about the reading, but something tells her that whatever was revealed has little bearing on what's going on right now, and it would be best not to worry him unnecessarily::
Not much. Just did a little Tarot reading for me. Nothing too interesting. Just who I'm going to marry, how many kids I'm going to have, silly girl stuff.

Miguel nods, chuckling lightly to himself. "A tarot reading? Ya believe that stuff? I have my superstitions but that always sounded like a load of bull to me but hey, whatever keeps ya entertained." Takes another sip from the glass, setting it down hard back onto the table. "Strange that it should be Galeon this time. First Natalia, then him. Who's to turn next I wonder."

::Lillith frowns::
Don't be such a pessimist. It's not like Galeon's doing this on purpose. He can still be turned back. Jenova's been beaten before. I know it wasn't exactly Natalia's fault either, but she had been under control for centuries. It won't turn out like it did with her.
::She sounds a little more like she's trying to convince herself rather than Miguel. She has to hold out hope for Galeon. If it hadn't been for him, she might have stayed with the Coven. She might still be the enemy of the world. Someone with that much good in them couldn't be so easily corrupted, no matter how powerful Jenova the Calamity was. She clenches her fists and sparks of electricity start to dance lightly over her fingers::
It won't. I'll make sure of that.

"Pessimism is whats keeps me going. Prepared for the worst, so when it may happen, you aren't all that surprised." He haunches over his glass, resting his elbows on the table for support. He picks it up and swirls the sherry. "Weird, this would be a time that we could use Loci's help, how odd that sounds. Least he'd beat back Galeon into submission fast... though I'm sure he'd scheme something up to benefit.
He sits back against the chair, stretching his arms out then plopping them down on the arm rests.
"I'd love peace, hell the ship does the best business when there's peace. People trade during peace time and they don't always carry guns on them when they do. Yet, barely a year goes by without a full scale war. Annoying really."

::She smiles::
You know, for pirates, it doesn't seem like you guys do a lot of pirating.
::Her face turns dark again::
Are you all sure that you don't want to stay at the school for a little while? We might get a better idea of what's going on if we group there for bit. The others might be coming as well. I'd... understand if you didn't though. That house holds a lot of sad memories for all of us.

"Yea... Vinn-Vincent's been saying that since we got entangled into the first time with Loci." Mutters Miguel most dishearteningly. "Not like we need to do alot now anyway, since Vincent got ahold of his dads 'inheritance', but that won't last very much longer. Know how expensive it is to repair this boat? Burning through the gil like its firewood."
Miguel finishes the last few drops from his glass and scambers over to the galley counter, setting the empty glass down to be taken care of whoever will be on scullery duty . "Anyway, about your school. Have to speak with the captain about that. I just chart the route, he determines what route it should be. Though, he may be wary, obviously still doesn't trust you much. Can't blame him, after what Nyx did to us. Kinda has left a real bad taste in our mouths here. Suppose he feels that our original policy of not involving ourselves in the matters of the outside world should be better adhered too. Been alot of pain and suffering since we broke that with Natalia all those years ago."
Miguel puts his hands up, as if to reassure Lillith. "I trust you, don't get me wrong. You kinda remind me a little of Cherai, just a tad more headstrong."

::Lillith nods::
Yeah, I really can't blame him. I still can't figure out what her angle was on that one. She spent a lot of effort keeping the others safe, and a lot more trying to keep it secret. But I'm pretty sure Nyx would have killed them if that was her goal. Nothing against your captain, but it's not like her to miss.
::She thinks about what else he said, and for a second she doesn't understand::
Cherai? Oh, you mean that friend of yours you told me about... what was she like? Natalia didn't really talk about her. I was always afraid to ask.

Miguel scratches the back of his head, as if trying to muster the right words from his brain. "Cherai was just Cherai, sweet an innocent but strong. She just stood out as the type of people this world needs more of." He starts to fumble his words. "I-suppo-damn it just, you see, she was- something special is all. Only made sense that she should be snatched away as she was, tell you I think the gods got a sick sense of humor and when I die, I expect to find them laughing." He runs his hand through his hair quickly, messing it up then brushing it back to a slightly less messy state.
"As for Nyx, I bet the captain could of taken her if she didn't get the jump on them. Hell, may of been his suspicion in the first place that saved the ship and crew, that throwing his body in the way as a shield to sound the general alarm." Miguel begins to appear jittery and agitated. "Let's drop that topic, kay? I'll go tell Vincent your idea and see what he says, get the gypsy his food and bring him to the bridge with ya when he's done eating. I'll also see about that whiskey, I believe Nahla drinks it sometimes, might see if I can't snag a bottle from her while shes out. Pay her back later or something."

::Anyone with eyes and ears can tell from the way Miguel speaks just how much Cherai meant to him, and she doesn't blame him at all for wanting to change the subject::
Alright. Just do what you think is best in that department. You know him better than I do. Oh... I forgot to tell you. Nyx isn't going to be a problem anymore. She left this world through the gate with Iole. Wonder how they're doing. Anyway, aside from myself, she's the only one left. Echidna's been locked away for good, and her mind doesn't look like it's coming back anytime soon. Gwen's dead. We saw to that. And Cro... well, I guess you already knew about her.

"Gwen's dead? I almost find that hard to believe, she frightened me more then Natalia or Yersinia- in some respects." He shudders. "What a horrible woman she was. Anywho, I'll go speak with Vincent. Come by the bridge whenever." He nods to Lillith. "Still, good to see you again."
Miguel departs the galley after that, leaving Lillith alone there in the room.
