This is GNNLast night there was a report of an unusual event near Fisherman's Horizon. At 415 local time, a bright flash of light and bang was spotted in the sky near the floating town that awoke residents from sleep. Witnesses claim that it was like the sun had suddenly exploded and the flash resulted in minor burns and temporary blindness for a few unfortunate dock workers that were facing the direction of the blast at the time.
Officials are refusing to make claims as to the origin of the unusual light show; it is speculated by locals that it may have been from an airship malfunction and possible explosion. Though no reports of airships in the vicinity of the blast, and there has been no report of any missing vessels, a Search and Rescue team from Balamb Garden has been sent out to search the area where it is believed the blast had originated. We'll keep you updated as the story progresses.

In the early morning hours, shortly after sun-up, a search and rescue helicopter took off from Balamb towards Fisherman's horizon. After a short flight, they arrived at what is believed to the the area where the unusual light event occurred earlier in the morning. They begun scouring the vast and expansive sea for any signs of what may have happened and recover any possible survivors. Boats were being prepped and would soon join in the effort.
"See anything?" One spotter in the co-pilot seat asked, as the crew scanned the water from the windows and side hatch.
"Nothing, let's check quadrant 7F. Bring her about."
"Roger that, bringing her about 027 degrees for 7F."
As the helicopter made its turn, one crew member spotted something in the water.
"Delay that, body in the water. 8'oclock. Bring us in for a closer look."
The helicopter swooped over, doing one pass, then coming back around. What they could see, it appeared to be a body of a person, floating face down in the water. It appeared lifeless - they couldn't make out any more then that from this height and splash back from the rotor wash.
"Confirmed, body in the water, prep the swimmer and bring us in a hover over. Report this to Operations, have them prepare to receive a possible DoA."
