Name: Loup de Agart (Also known as the Beast of Agart) Real name: Chavezs Beauterne
Age: Late 30s
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Affinity: Black/Status
Birthplace: Near Agart mountains, perhaps.
Weapon:
Wolfs Maw: A forged metal contraption, like a bear trap, that’s crafted like a wolf’s maw. It fits over his left hand and through a system of springs and hinges, can snap its metal jaw with powerful force, able to snap bone and rake flesh. Impressions left by the device look like that from an animal.
Wolfs Claw: His right hand is strapped with a claw like weapon of metal that is strapped around the wrist and palm (similar in style to the Japanese “Tekko-kago”). He has free use of his fingers but can strike an enemies weapon or body with the blades.
Appearance: He’s a hunched, dirty, grizzled individual that is draped in mis-matched wolf furs. Most of his head is covered by a wolf’s head, what skin is exposed is tattooed with tribal stripes and designs of all sorts. He stands at 5’8”, not tall or short, but well adapt at moving through forests. His years in the forests, preying on animals and people like a rabid wolf, have made him adapt at moving both bipedal and quadruped. From a distance, even a short one, he appears like a wolf and can easily approach those who aren’t attentive to their surroundings.
Biography: He’s more of a myth, a creature of local lore that is known to prey on women and children that wander alone near forests edge and is infamous around Agart as a serial killer and stalking horror – though is widely believed to be an actual wolf or were-creature of sorts. His true nature is far less fantastic - in certain ways.
Once a local huntsman, humble and meek, living by his means off the land. He hunted for food and money; making use of the creatures he killed skins as a marketable commodity. A unremarkable existence, more a mountain hermit, he rarely wandered into towns except to sell his wears and leave. His life then took a drastic turn hunting one mid-fall eve.
On a cold fall evening, Chavezs was tracking a pack of wolves deep in the farthest regions of the forest, one where few men have ever stepped foot. After several hours of tracking this most magnificent pack of wolves, largest he had ever seen and their pelt more glorious then the finest furs of kings, the trophy of a life-time. Cornering the small pack of three wolves against a rock-face, he took aim of his rifle and planted one shot into each of them, the breeding male, she-wolf, and pup. He proceeded then to field dress the bodies, oblivious to the anger brewing around him.
From the trees, a footfall became clear to his ears, just a soft disturbance in the dead fall and preceded its owner like black smoke. It sung in an intoxicating voice, sung that it was made of the trees of the forest, its bones the branches, its feet the trunks and its head the canopy whose fingers extend to the leaves. A spirit of the forest, its very queen, angered she was by the slaughter of her special wolves. With the deed done, and the forests retributing nature she sought to do the same to the trespassing human, yet, he pleaded for his life, bargaining on his knees to be spared and forgiven. The queen granted the huntsman’s request in a most foul way. She placed upon him a curse, La Malédiction du Loup. He became feral, wolf-like, a fog being placed over his humanity till he thought like a wolf, became a wolf in his own right. Guided by the curse and control of the queen, he turned away from his human ways, a satire, losing morals and ethics till he was a tool to be used by the queen to extract revenge on mankind for the death of her precious wolves.
For months, Chavezs plagued the countryside as Loup de Agart, attacking humans like prey and mauling them to death, though he never attacked their livestock, just men – mainly children and woman as they were easiest to pounce upon. As the locals became afraid, their hunts turning up nothing, they began to move further away from the forest and mountains, forcing Chavezs to move farther and farther away from the forest to stalk prey and inversely, slowly drifting away from the queen’s influence, till she was little more then a quiet whisper in the back of his head. Soon, the fog lifted enough that he broke free from the queen’s influence and with the locals hot on his trail, he fled the countryside. Now, with the curse still upon him but the queen’s influence gone, he roams the lands like – well, a lone wolf, stalking prey and people like some-sort of bloody game.
Special Abilities:
Wolf Bite: Pounces upon an enemy/victim, tackling them to the ground and snapping the “Maw” upon their throat.
Fleet of Paw: Variation of ‘haste’ that increases his speed while traveling on all fours.
Animal Magnetism: Can attract other predator animals/fiends to his aid, having them fight alongside him in battle.
Sorcellerie Loup : Chavezs can use several spells freely, they include: Saber, Lure, Pig, Scan, Beserk, Haste, Hold, Curaga, Off-Guard, and Ruse.
Hunger: Damaging opponents can inversely heal Chavezs’s wounds, blood must be spilt for this to take effect.
Limit Break
Wolfsbane: Chavezs lets the curse take control of him, consume him for a brief time. With a piercing howl, he becomes more like the wolf then before till he is left twisted and powerful. His body absorbs with the furs he wears till he himself is a giant wolf, much like lycanthropy. Under this influence he’s an eating, killing, destructive force of tooth and claws. Heavy damage or certain conditions can transform him back, or simply waiting it out.
Character artwork / picture: If anyone wants to draw one, that be pretty cool, no?
