::Nu is lead to the research chamber by his lead researcher::
"Kamikaze hasn't told me much, I would like to be informed now if anything has happened during my... absence."
Weir: Of course. While you were indisposed, many of our projects have been given the green light. But there is one in particular that I think will interest you..."
"And which one is that?"
Weir: Project Epsilon.
"The superhuman project? I thought that was placed on the back burner long before I decided on the Lindblum mission. Something about not being able to control the subject."
Weir: That was true some months ago, but our R&D division have made breakthroughs with more advance exo-skeletons. With each advance, we've been able to suppress the subjects murderous impulse after we program the data.
"And who did you use as the final test subject?"
Weir: Why, my predecessor of course. You did say he was to be used as a guinea pig for any experiment. Ah, speak of the devil.
::Nu looked at what became of his former head researcher and saw that all but his face was concealed in armor in a red and blue pattern.::
"Quite impressive."
Weir: It is. That exo-skeleton also makes him into a true cybernetic organism, his exo-skeleton went through many revisions as I have explained. What he has on now is the latest prototype. And the R&D division were also kind to provide a set of weapons to go with the skeleton. ::Weir motions to the side as a wide assortment of weapons lay by the stasis container:: As you can see, every possible mission and combat have been thought of. But this is the real beauty of this prototype. ::He pulls the katana off the table and hands it to Nu, who grasps its hilt:: Made of the rarest and strongest steel in Gaea, making it unbreakable. It's been forged multiple times to rid it of any impurities. It has also been sharpened to a laser point, allowing it to cut through anything without losing its edge.
"Impressive. Has either been tested yet?"
Weir: No they haven't. We've been waiting for your return before doing the final test, to earn your approval.
"And what were the results of the previous tests?"
Weir: They went better than we hoped, until he lost control couldn't control his murderous impulses. But with this prototype, we can control how its triggered, making it a sort of berserker system to fall back on if he's backed into a corner. And added that he's a cyborg, we can also use him to view anything from the safety of this base if the exo-skeleton's camouflage system is operational.
"Good, unleash him. I'd say it's time for his final test before I make my decision."
Weir: As you wish. ::Looks to the other researchers:: Get him out and prep him, it's time.

::Inside the training center::
::The figure on the ground slowly stirred, his head throbbing in pain::
Epsilon: Ow... Where am I?
::The lights in the arena like ground lit up, nearly blinding the guy as Nu's voice echoed through the arena::
"Thank Gaia I thought you would never wake up."
Epsilon: Nu?! ::He quickly got to his feet, but then noticed the armor around him:: What have you done to me!
"You should be thankful. You have been made into our superhuman program."
Epsilon: Project Epsilon? I thought you said to discontinue it."
"I never said to end it, only stop it until a proper test subject is found. And now have the perfect one, you."
Epsilon: What makes you think I'll go along with this?
"As I see, you have no choice. I'm sure you can feel it, your strength now much stronger than it usually is, your senses more sharper than before. You're no longer human, but a cyborg. But if you cooperate, I can at least make sure you remain around."
Epsilon: And what would I get if I do want to be cooperative?
"Why a spot as one of my servants. It allows you better access to labs, even some authority over the researchers."
::Epsilon remained silent as he contemplated the purposal::
Epsilon: ...What must I do?
::Inside the control room, Nu grinned at the response::
"All you have to do is one thing, survive what we throw at you. I only accept the best under my wing."

::One of the walls of the arena opened up, revealing armed soldiers::
"First, we'll see how you deal with living targets." ::There's a click before the soldiers start their attack. The mask on Epsilon's face snaps into place as he takes a battle stance::
::Inside the observation room::
::Only Nu and his servants, minus Melanie who still had the younger sorceress's to tend to, watch Epsilon's progress.::
Kamikaze: Why use some of our soldiers?
"They're not soldiers. They are actually convicts that were either on death row or serving life for the most violent of crimes. Each of them are the most dangerous Gaea has ever seen. It took a lot to bride their wardens to release them to me. I promised they would be killed, but didn't say when.
Astaroth: I see, by having them attack, Epsilon will most certainly kill them. But how did you get them to attack?
"Simple, I offered to the one that can kill him a new chance at life. What I forgot to say was the one that does do the impossible will become our new test subject."
Kamikaze: You really are a dark one mi'lord.
"Flattery will get you nowhere Kamikaze."
::Inside the arena, the convicts were quickly getting cut down. They didn't know they were tricked into fighting a super human. About 3 were left as the cyborg turned his attention to them::
Convict 1: Screw this! A new life isn't worth fighting this thing!
Convict 2: I agree! Hey guy! Let us out!
Convict 3: Wimps! Your letting one guy scare you?!
Convict 1: Whatever that thing is, it isn't human!
Convict 3: Watch!
::The other two watch as the third guy rushes at Epsilon, only for them to blink at the moment. They see Epsilon behind then guy, his blade drawn and the other guy stopped. But then they saw as his body starts to fall apart. They back away from the sight and as Epsilon looks in their direction::
Epsilon: Who's next...
::The two back themselves into the wall, shaking in terror before Nu's voice came back::
"Enough. You proved your worth against live opponents. You two, consider yourselves lucky that you survived. And about that freedom I promised you ::The two felt cold steel lock themselves around their arms and legs, lifting them off their feet:: I lied. As far as the outside world goes, you're already dead. You two will make excellent test subjects."
::The two are dragged away, kicking and screaming. Epsilon shuddered as he knew what was going to happen to them, as he suffered that fate before::
"Now we'll wait until maintenance disposes of the cadavers and cleans the arena before we can proceed to the next stage."

::After a few minutes of clean up::
"Now you're next challenge is against non-human combatants."
::One wall opened revealing what looked like war robots. Another opened, but a cage prevented the beasts trapped inside from escaping. The third and final wall shown creatures that weren't native to Gaea::
"These will be your final tests. First you'll deal with our robotics, see how you handle those that don't show any mercy. Next will be the most dangerous creatures that have lived in Gaea. The final will be against the creatures that earned the name 'demons'. Good luck."
::The robots came out fully armed as Epsilon prepared himself::
Kamikaze: You think he'll survive?
"I have no doubts against the machines and the beasts, but the demons will be tricky. Astaroth, you might want to leave when he gets to them."
Astaroth: It makes no difference to me. Those are merely low level demons, they will not be missed.

::Epsilon found it harder fighting these mechanized drones than those would-be soldiers. Not only were they better at strategies, but also boasted projectile weapons as well. As soon as the last bot was cut down did he hear a gate being lowered. A tentacle shot out and grasped him, nearly crushing him if not for the exo-skeleton::
Kamikaze: He's done. No way he can break free of a Malboro.
"Just watch, Kamikaze. You'll be surprised what people can do if their life depended on it." He reaches to a intercom and presses a button:: "Science division, I think it's time you activated that berserker system."

::Epsilon stopped struggling as the Malboro pulled itself out and pulled him closer to its mouth. But the onlookers then heard him scream, either from pain or something more primal is anyone's guess. He flexed and with inhuman strength, he broke free of its grasp. Before they could blink, he launched what looked like daggers at the creature. It roared in pain before runes on the daggers glowed and exploded. The other creatures rushed out at Epsilon, who drew his katana and charged, cutting down many in a matter of seconds::
Kamikaze: So this is what the berserker system is capable of.
"Indeed. The Research Division have outdone themselves. And here's the best part. ::Pushes a button on the intercom:: Research, make Epsilon focus on a single target. Have it on the cage the demons are in."
::Instead of continuing his slaughter, he focused on the demon cage, ignoring the monsters as they slash when he ran by.::
"From here, we're able to have them focus on a single target."
Astaroth: And the berserk system forces him to ignore all pain until his target is dead. Jezebel couldn't of done better...

:Upon pulling the cage, Epsilon's rage clouded mind told him pull was useless. He ceased and drew his katana, slicing through the bars and some demons stupid enough to stick around. The demons poured out from the cage, heading to the monsters in search of living flesh to eat. In the end, the place resembled a slaughterhouse, Epsilon was the only one left standing, covered in blood and panting from exhaustion as the berserker was deactivated::
Kamikaze: Even though they were brainless monsters and demons ::Ignores the glare from Astaroth:: I would not wish that on anyone.
Astaroth: For once we agree assassin. Not even my brothers and sisters are that bloodthirsty.
"Something that can be attributed to the berserker system." Nu replied. "Though the exo-skeleton is complete, the berserker still needs some work in my opinion. But I digress ::Punches a button on the central com:: get maintenance to the training room, and tell them to bring a scooper. ::Looks back to the carnage:: Make that a large scooper."

::Epsilon wakes up in what looks like a prison cell. He looks as Nu steps in:: "I trust you slept well." He said. "You passed the trials, as of now you answer only to me."
Epsilon: Is that all?
"Not quite." ::Nu's hand glows a sickly green before thrusting into Epsilon's chest. Epsilon screams in pain as Nu pulls it back. There wasn't any wound when he pulled, but Epsilon could of sworn Nu pulled his heart out::
Epsilon: ::Draws his blade and points it at Nu:: What did you do to me?!
::Nu remains calm while bringing his hand up as a spirit heart manifests. He then squeezes it, causing Epsilon to drop his sword and fall to one knee, grasping his heart in pain::
"What I took was your spiritual heart. It's bound to your physical heart, if one is destroyed the other will cease to function. This is to ensure absolute loyalty for my servants. Many of the would-be conquers thought of one betrayl as insignificant. I, on the other hand, will punish any who betrays me. Their punishment, ::squeezes his hand more to give Epsilon the kind of pain the betrayer would feel:: death." ::Nu relinquishes his grasp, leaving Epsilon gasping for air as the pressure on his heart has stopped.:: "But if you fallow orders, there won't be anything to fear from me. And I've already have a mission for you."
Epsilon: ::Slowly gets to his feet, his breath slowly returning:: What must I do, master?
"I need you to infiltrate the chemical company known as Bio-Cell. They might be a vaccine researcher on the outside, but I know they're doing viral weapons research on the inside. Your exo-skeleton can mimic human skin, so there won't be any fears of it setting off any detectors. The suit can also mimic human parts that are unique for each person: Retinas, Finger prints, Dental work, making it possible to pass through sensors that require biometrics and impossible to distinguish from the original."
Epsilon: Anyone else going with me?
"No, this is a solo mission. Your suit can also record any data you see. Once you do, the suit will link up to any system and open a direct link to our system and download the data from there. Once done, the suit will delete both the data and link it used, making it impossible to trace. That suit was built originally for espionage, but has been modified for combat in case your caught."
