Would you prefer it if I spoke to him?
::Her expression says she'll make good on her threat, and she knows very well that he wouldn't want her talking to his superiors::
I suggest you come up with something. Because if you're not here by midafternoon tommorrow, I'm flying to Lindblum and collecting you myself.

"Uh... wow... was not e'pecting t'at. Iole... here." He tosses the mirror to Iole. "Keep her occupied." He says in a loud whisper as he stands up and runs off, assumingly to actually get the Captain.

::Iole frowns into the mirror::
Iole: That wasn't fair of you Lillith.
Well that will teach him to keep me in the dark. Really the lack of trust you two put in us sometimes is very hurtful. Speaking of which, does Eva know what you're up to?
::Iole's look is answer enough::
That's what I thought.

In the distance, Iole can spy Oliver talking to Connolly. He doesn't appear amused at all by whatever Oliver could be pleading with him, as he stands with his arms crossed and a condescending look about him.

After a few moments, Connolly walks over with Oliver beside him. "Iole, the device." He commands, sternly. He clearly is not amused by this. When it's placed in his hand, he looks at it strangely for a moment, then talks. "This is Captain Connolly, officer of the LPA and commanding officer of the Red Dragoons. What seems to be the trouble with my troops, ma'am?"

The problem is, Captain, I have legal custody of one of them who hasn't so much as sent me a letter for months to tell me what he's been up to. I'm not asking a whole lot, just that he come by as soon as he can for a visit. I'd like to discuss the full extent of what he's gotten himself into, and I'd like to do it with him face to face.

Connolly nods. "I understand, ma'am. It would of been nice if Oliver had notified us prior that he had someone who had legal custody over him but, since he failed to mention that, I must clarify that we are in the middle of a war-zone at the moment."
An explosion goes off in the distance, that rattles the ground and the mirror itself.
"As you can see, I'm afraid I cannot authorize leave for any soldiers under my command at this time or for the indefinite future."

All the more reason for him to come here straight away. I've seen my share of war and I know as well as you that what you put off in wartime you may never get the chance to do. I'm not completely out of touch.

"I understand your dilemma completely, but I just lost two-thirds of my brigade two days ago and am undermanned as it is, I cannot afford to lose another soldier, specially one as adept as Comrade Oliver. He also carries classified information, making him a valuable target for the Regent's forces." Connolly shakes his head no. "I'm sorry, there is nothing I can do to full-fill your request at the present time."

Captain, did you miss the part where I said I'd come there and get him myself?

"Even so, ma'am. I am not authorized to allow any non-LPA or CWP within the warzone without proper clearance, getting which could take quite awhile due to the straining of resources and lack of centralized command facilities. If you're willing to wait till the war quells, perhaps then I could forward your request to my CO."

::Lillith sighs and rolls her eyes. She really didn't want to play this card::
Captain, I don't think you know who I am. Lillith Domani Avalerion, Headmistress of Leah Garden, and as such I possess diplomatic immunity warzone or no. So unless you make this easy and let Iole and Oliver come here for one day, expect to see me very soon.
(OOC: Gotta love running a faction that isn't legally bound by any red tape!)

"Ma'am, diplomatic immunity or not, the LPA is not bound by international law nor it's charters and treaties. We neither recognize nor are recognized by the international community and there-by adhere to our own system. You may show if you like, but I cannot guarantee you diplomatic immunity or your own personal safety. So, unless you have Party related business, I'm afraid I still cannot authorize leave for my two soldiers."
((And being a guerrilla para-military, they are not obligated to oblige diplomatic status. Specially in a world without a U.N.))

(OOC: You're sure not making this easy. How are we getting them over there?)
::Connolly's attention is caught by Iole making a cut-off motion with her hand and whispering urgently::
Iole: Bad idea! Bad idea!
::She starts pointing to the mirror and making some odd hand gestures. Whether or not Connolly sees them as the storm cloud and lightning bolts that she's trying to make them is difficult to say::

"Ma'am, excuse me for a moment." He clasps the mirror in his hand as he drops his arm to his side and looks to Iole.
"Iole, what is it? What is 'this'!?" He asks, mimicking her hand gestures.

(OOC: I was hoping he'd let Oliver go when he heard her name and recalled her connections to the Regent)
You don't want her to come here. She's crazy! They don't call her the Witch of Storms for nothing! Think about how much trouble you've had just because I'm here. She's worse than I am. She doesn't have my level of control!

((He was just a Guard officer, can't know everything about all relationship ties))
Connolly rolls his eyes in frustration. "I'm sorry, Iole. I don't have the authority to authorize this, I've covered for you once today, I can't do it twice. If you have some idea how we can make this official Party business, I'd love to hear it."
Still looking at Iole, his gaze unmoving, he raises the mirror back up to speak. "Ma'am, you still there?"

"No, ma'am, we haven't. I believe I just will not be able to authro-"
"Iole, does'in Lil'ith 'now t'e Regent? Captain, got'a idea."
Connolly sighs again. "One second ma'am." He puts down the mirror. "Yes, Oliver, what is it?"
"Captain, she mig't be ab'e to help wit' 'Le Efente'? Let me ta'k to her."
Connolly hands over the mirror, seemingly glad to get rid of the thing. "Take it, do what you will. I have a headache."
"Lil'ith, w'at do ye 'now about t'e Palace here? Lik'is layout."
