Dante leaves the precinct before the press conference started up and reaches back to Oliver. "Looks like we came too late; everyone started up this... event or something." He overhears what the officials... or "oinkers"... found out. Then he overhears about a Sorceress who runs a garden looking into this case. He wonders for a moment until it was already answered when Lilith comes in saying hi. "Sorry, give me a moment..." He takes out the Picture from his pocket... already his memories start to flow in. "Ah yes... Lilith, yes? Yes it has been a while. How has Leah Garden been? Who is in charge of your place for the time being? ... and I take it you are the sorceress taking part of this investigation... though that certain... 'oinker'... or official on the podium says it is different." He goes into a curious serious thought. "I have to admit, 'oinker' is an odd name to call an official.." He turns to see Oliver and back to Lilith. "I take it Oliver was the relative of the first victim, his mother, yes? He told me of the situation here. Well... looks like the killer may have struck again. I came here to meet a professor Elliot Von Karma at the library who had some information on.... a few certain persons I was curiously looking into. However... I came too late as he was murdered; time of death seemed few hours ago, so it is not recent. It may seem that the professor was on to something else and was killed to be kept silent; whether this is connected to the killings of the first two victims is debatable but not coincidental maybe; I do not have much access to the investigation information as you have so I cannot say much at the moment. I was about to report the incident and submit this: He shows the Odd Sign. Have your officials have anything related to this? This was found written all over the professor's room."

::Lillith smiles at first, happy to see Dante alive and well::
The Garden's doing just fine. We're working on getting the place a tax exemption, but I think we're a far cry from that. But you remember Shaft right? Him and Rose are looking after things. I don't think you've met Rose have you?
::Then the conversation takes on a darker tone::
Dante, I don't think it's a good idea to talk so openly about that in front of Oliver, but yes that is the reason I was called here and the good Captain Ames seems to proud to admit that I actually am helping with the investigation. But that's probably best kept secret, so forget I said anything.
::She can't help but smile at Dante's use of the word 'oinker'::
That's, um... That's slang Dante, and not a very polite way of speaking about the police force.
::That part's directed a little more at Oliver::
So you were saying, about this professor?
::She hears his explanation about Professor Von Karma::
Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. Did you know each other well? Wait... I've seen this sign before... somewhere... but I can't for the life of me remember where that was now. Can I have a closer look?
::Kerion finally manages to catch up with her, a little out of breath::
Oh... sorry. This is Kerion, my... I guess body-guard is kind of rude. But he was assigned to work with me on this case.

Oliver folds his arms and disgruntled looks at Lillith, the aura of annoyance and frustration surrounding his face. "Hey! Not sum lil'kid ya know! I an take it!" He looks away, his voice trailing off. "Call em wha I bloody want." Casually kicks a discarded bottle, left laying on the street.

"Lillith?"
It's the Constable, he voice hushed as he grabs for her attention. He then notices the three others, including Oliver.
"Oh, Kerion... Oliver, and who is this?" He asks, looking to Dante. "Ah no matter, Lillith, he's struck again. Ames is stalling the press while we clean up. Looks like he tried to make a spectral out of today. Body is strung up... against the precinct building, it's a right mess."
The plump man curiously looks between all four of them.
"Something else is going on, isn't there? Right, what else is the trouble, blasted place has already gone to hell, what's a little more bad news? Right?"

"Ah.... yes, I am rather sorry about that; did not mean to say it openly."
Lilith asked about knowing the professor. "No... not really... but he was too much of a friendly man who deserved his life taken away." When Lilith asked to get a close look at the sign, he hands it to her. "You can hold on if you like to it since you are part of the investigation."
Then he takes notice of Kerion and the reasoning behind it. "Ah... all right. That is understandable hearing of what the killer has done and doing at the moment... anyhow, nice to meet you, Kerion."
The Constable comes in and mentions of another killing; he later takes notice that something else has happened and asked indirectly.
"Yes... I am here to report of another killing; it seemed have happened only a few hours at the library; the killer also left an odd clue, which I have given to Lilith."
He pauses for a moment and starts to ask. "If it would be all right, I like to be part of this investigation... though I honestly would not ask this easily..."
His mind drift upon other "personal" things and "someone else"... something that does not happen often but he focuses back into gear. "This killer murdered someone that wanted to help me out of his kindness and I want to find out why he was killed and what this killer is up to..."

"Hey! I'm not rude, just my tactics need a little polishing."

"Nice to meet you too sir."

Not good. From the way it sounds, this guy is getting more and more bolder.
"Well, let's get moving before the press has a field day with this."

(OOC: She wasn't saying Kerion was rude. She was saying it would be a little rude and impersonal to call him her bodyguard).
::Lillith clenches her fists::
Alright constable. Takes us there as fast as you can. Kerion, you come with me, Dante, I think it would be best if you could show the constable where to find the body so they can make a proper report. Oliver, would you mind staying with Dante?
::She can see how badly he wants to go investigate the new incident, but despite his reassurance, she can't find any justifiable reason to allow a thirteen year old tag along with her on a homicide investigation::

"Yes, all right then... let me know what you find if you can." Dante nods and aids to lead to the constable to the location. As he loads his Revolver privately, he turns to Oliver. "Stay close to me and the constable. If you see something suspicious, tell me..."
He continues to lead the constable to the library...

((Dante, lets go back to your thread.))
Oliver doesn't appear all too pleased to be ordered around like he is, he tries to make a protest but it seems to fall upon deaf ears. "Fine..."
He looks to the constable and makes a subtle oinking sound under his breath, but his demeanor brightens when Dante asks him to keep an eye out. "Right, governor, on it!"
They head back to the library, Oliver now looking around suspiciously at all that pass-by.

"Lead the way Mr. Shadesang."
As the three leave for the library, another officer quickly ushers Lillith and Kerion through a back alley adjacent to the old police building. Several officers are guarding the way, with Ames nearby trying to make up excuses for what is happening just beyond
Once inside the side alley, a short walk leads them to the crime scene. There upon the police building is a woman, strung up against the edifice. Her neck bound to a rope wrapped around an iron fire-escape, as if she was hung for execution. Her chest is flayed open, rips parted like a book, with her lungs missing and various other insides sloughed out, laying on the stone alley below.
A flash of a camera strikes Lillith and Kerion's eyes as a police photographer captures the scene. Several teams of officer are quickly cleaning up the mess, while two on the fire-escape start to hoist the body up. There's one young officer in a corner evacuating his stomach contents, and who doesn't look well at all.
The Sargent starts to explain the scene. "This one is obviously different then the previous two, but the killing is the same - we think. The hanging was post-mortem, again, stabs to the heart... well we believe. The chest has wounds in it but has been so mutilated that will best be left for the examiner to confirm. We suspect that the lungs were taken this time, only... pieces we can't find." He takes a quick gander up at the body being pulled over the fire-escape railing, which makes him cringe. "Uh... well least she won't have to be transported far." Looks back to Kerion and Lillith. "The murder looks rushed this time, hopefully he was sloppy. Want to help us look around? We've been more concerned getting this out of the way before the press sees it."
The alley is littered with a few officers, a long streak of spilled blood down the edifice which pools at the bottom. There's some trash bins where the one officer was being sick and some random barrels and crates scattered about. There's one ladder leading up to the fire-escape and roof beside where the streak of spilt blood runs down.
((Inspect around, see if you can find something. I'll let you know :3 ))

::Lillith's eyes remain glued to the woman, though she wants desperately to look away. She'd seen people killed before, but this was done in a way she wouldn't wish on her worst enemy. The way the rope wraps around her neck, the gaping wound in her torso, the position her body hangs in, it's a level of cruelty she's never seen before. She had lived among demons before, and even they were hard pressed to match this level of brutality. The color drains from her face and for a moment she starts to think that the younger officer who's been relieving his stomach has the right idea. But she's still conscious of Captain Ames near her, and she'll be damned before she show weakness in front of him. Her keen eyesight starts scanning the scene for anything the officers may have missed::

*Kerion looks to the body as its brought down. He controls the urge to vomit and looks around the alley, trying to find something out of the ordinary. His hand goes under his trench coat to grasp a hand gun, hoping he wouldn't have to use it.*

In the alley, there appears to be little that the police haven't scoured over. The Sargent off-handily remarks they haven't gone over the roof or fire-escape yet, been too busy dealing with the body.

::Lillith actually takes the snide comment to heart::
Hmm... is that so? Kerion, think you can follow me?
::She enters the alley quietly so she won't draw too much attention. Then she uses her air magic to launch herself at the wall. She plants her feet firmly on the wall in front of her and launches herself at the other one, repeating the technique until she lands gracefully on the rooftop::
Come on. Keep up slow poke.
::She scans the rooftops in the same manner as before. These eyes of hers that mutated from her powers a few years back had proven to be quite handy. At least she didn't have scales or unbelievably pasty skin::

*Kerion looks from the can he was looking at to Lillith, nodding to her before fallowing*

*Kerion growls lightly but playfully at Lillith's remark before pulling out his Punisher and changing the magic shell in it from the red fire to the white air. He aims down and lets the blast of air push him onto the rooftop, landing gracefully behind Lillith and strapping the gun back into place. He reaches for his eye patch and pulls it up, revealing an icy blue eye as he scans over the area*

On the roof, they find the scene grizzly. A large pool of sun baked blood rests near the edge to the fire-escape with a trail leading to and over the edge where the body must of been dragged. The pebbled surface of the flat roof looks undisturbed, say for where the body was dragged, no sign of where the perpetrator could of fled too.
There's odd streaks of blood splattered on the roof's wall where the body was flung over. Near the dried pool is something shiny, that glistens in the sunlight - with a magpie bouncing closer and closer to it.

The magpie hops atop the object and caws at Kerion, bouncing and hoping around it, protecting it from Kerion. He bends down and picks it up with its beak, it's a metallic object, maybe a coin or something else small like that. The bird bounces backwards, as if taunting Kerion into chasing after him.

::Lillith rolls her eyes and makes a small motion with her hand. A streak of black is all the warning the magpie gets before Melanie swoops in and clips it in the side with her beak. The object is knocked from the bird's mouth and lands in Lillith's waiting hand. She lowers it to eye level so she can get a better look at it::
