:: She was cold. That was all Ayin could think as she came to, shivering. When she moved to bring her hands to her bare arms, as to warm herself, she realized she couldn't. At first she struggled against whatever had her trapped, not registering what was happening. But, soon she realized that she was tied much too tight to escape. ::
"Mmmm..."
:: She moaned slightly as she shouldered her way up a wall to lean against it. Her head was killing her. Where she laid was her tribal veil, so her vision was not blocked. But, due to her poor eyesight, she couldn't make out much in the dark space she was being held. Frowning, she did her best to remember how she got her. At first, nothing came to mind, but as she sat their in the rocking boat, it slowly came back to her. ::
"How about a drink, eh?"
:: Ayin looked toward the man speaking to her. He looked vaguely fimilar, but she didn't think much of it at the time. After all, she was already a little bit sloshed. She had been out drinking and gambling, as she did often when they became low on funds. She nodded, letting the man buy her a drink. ::
"Yeah, sure."
:: Ayin missed the look that passed between the man and the barkeep as she was poured a drink. She downed it quickly and decided to make her way back to her airship. Where had she left the damn thing, she thought to herself as she stumbled out onto the street. As she walked, though, her already poor vision became fuzzy and dark around the edges. Stopping, she leaned against the wall and blinked a few times, trying to clear her eyesight. That was the last that she remembered as she crumpled to the ground. ::
"Damn."
:: Ayin new exactly what happened. The man that she thought she recognized was a henchman for a loan shark of sorts. A few months back, Ayin had been passing through Luca and borrow a hefty sum from the man with no intention of paying it back. It had been so long since, she figured that the man had just cut his losses and moved on. Obviously not, she thought with a shake of her head. Well, she didn't intend to stick around to see what kind of payment he wanted from her. ::
Think, Ayin, think.
:: Ayin twisted a little to grab her head dress with her bound hands, then began to shoulder her way up the wall until she was standing. Taking a few steps, she cautiously moved about, occasionly bumping into things. The further she moved along, the more she could see. There was a door leading up to what was probably the main deck of the ship. Just then, she heard voices. ::
"We got ourself a fine selection of goods, sir. In fact, we got ourselves a woman for sale...."
:: Ayin frowned as she heard them headed toward the door. She needed to get out of here, but there wasn't much she could do by herself. At least not face them, she thought as she saw a nearby port hole. Looks like she would be going for a swim. She walked over, kicked a crate towards the port hole, then stepped up on it. It took some creativity, but she managed to start wiggling through the port hole. Since she was small, the fit was tight but not impossible. Just as she got halfway out, she heard shouts from inside. She wiggled with a frenzy, scraping the thin tissue over her hip, but she managed to pop out of the hole and fall into the water.
When she slipped into the water, it took some time but she managed to get her hands in front of her. Though swimming was still difficult, it was more managable this way. She started swimming towards the dock, which wasn't far away. Using her legs, she managed to get up onto the dock. After stuggling to her feet, she was running. She could hear some shouts behind her. She ran with all she had and, just as she was turning a corner, ran right into someone and plowed them both over. They fell to the ground, both landing with an umph.::

:The man in a black suit and dark gray tie slowly gets up. He dusts himself off and removes his sunglasses:
"My, my....in a rush?"
:He grins and offers her a hand:

:: Ayin stared up at the man for a moment, a little dazed. She was still dripping wet and her hands were bound in front of her. When she saw his hand, she lifted hers and let him help her up. ::
"Yeah, just a bit of a hurry."
:: Ayin smirked a little, seeming innocent. It was something she had always been able to hold on to, even though she had been through a lot. Just then, she heard a few more shouts behind her. Looks like they weren't giving up. Reaching out, she grabbed the man and pulled him into a nearby alley to hide as the men rushed past. When it looked like they were out of danger, she glanced at the man. ::
"Do you think you could...give me a hand?"
:: Ayin held up her bound wrists for him to help with. ::
"No pun intended."
:: She sent him a smile. Obviously the day's events hadn't hurt her sense of humor. ::

Beautiful, bound, and perfectly vulnerable. What man wouldn't take advantage?
:He nods in accord:
"No problem ma'am.."
This one of course
:He reaches into a pocket and pulls out a beautiful silver pocket knife and cuts her hands free. He holds it for a moment and stares at it, the cold steel brings back horrible memories. His initials scribed into it almost mock him. He never had much use for it, but it was a 'retirement' gift anyways. He pockets it and looks at the girl, still curious what is happening to her:
"How can I be of service to you?"
(OOC- FYI if you didn't notice I'll be gone this evening-Sunday. So bare w/ me and either make a few posts or what not. I'll try to check in once Saturday though!)

:: Ayin didn't seem to even think that the stranger could be dangerous. The trusting side of her got her into too many troubles to count. Still, throughout the years, she had manage not to become jaded. ::
"Thank you, sir."
:: She seemed to be teasing him slightly for his formality. She was usually a very casual person, so it was hard for her to be formal. When she saw the glitter of the silver, though, she was distracted. Though she would not steal it, for the man had helped her, she was sorely tempted. ::
"Pretty blade. From someone special?"
:: Ayin was also a very curious creature. When he asked if he could help her, she glanced out of the alley way. ::
"With those goons? No, I think I'll be fine now. Though, you could...."
:: Ayin had never been to Luca before and had no clue where she had been taken by the loan shark's cronies. ::
"Where are we?"
:: She tilted her head slightly as she waited for his answer. She was confused, which showed in her different colored eyes. ::
"Oh, I'm Ayin Jol, by the way. Folks just call my Ayin, though."

:He shakes his head no to her comment about the blade:
"No...certainly not ma'am."
:The man listens intently until his time to speak comes:
"It's my pleasure to meet you."
:He bows his head slightly. All of his trainings and past had reinforced his gentlemanly behavior, it was so fitting for an officer to be polite:
"You can call me Rube."
:He glances around briefly and gazes back on her:
"Do you need to be leaving?"

Pretty manners.
:: Ayin thought her thoughts with a smirk. She didn't often get to deal with anyone with such gentlemanly behaviors. ::
"Nice to meetcha, Rube."
:: She had an upbeat air about her, almost making her seem younger than she was. ::
"Do I need to be leaving? Probably. Do I actually know where I am? Not a clue. You see, I ran into a bit of trouble...."
:: Though Ayin was trusting, she did know what to share and what not to share. ::
"And, to make a long story short, I'm a bit confused."
:: She gave him another smile and a small shrug, looking almost sheepish. ::

:He shrugs:
"Well we're in Luca if that helps, but much more than that I'm not sure. I was just visiting a business acquaintance."
:He pulls his sunglasses back down:
"...well?"

"Luca, huh?"
:: Ayin had never been here, and consequently had no clue how to get back to Bevelle, where her ship was located. If it was still safe, that is. ::
"I own a ship that should be located in Bevelle....You know how to get there?"
:: Ayin was terrible with directions, so she was thinking more of a hands on guidance. ::
"I can pay you if you can guide me....Of course, you would have to wait until we reach my ship. I don't have means of paying you with me."
:: Ayin hoped he would take her up on her offer. After all, he seemed safe enough and hadn't tried to bother her in any way. ::
"By the way, what kind of business are you in?"

:He grins slyly:
"...for me to know and you to find out."
:He reaches into his pockets and puts on some leather fingerless gloves and stands there momentarily:
"Alright....let's get to Bevelle then. I know someone here that can bring us.....and more importantly hide you on the way!"

Maybe I was too quick in trusting him...
:: There was a moment of hesitation when Rube made his mysterious comment. But, like always, Ayin just brushed aside her misgivings and shrugged. ::
"Sorry. Didn't mean to pry."
:: When he agreed to help her, she looked relieved. ::
"Good. That might come in handy....So, where is this friend of yours?"

"Actually not far from here.....I just left."
:He glances down the alley to see someone passing by staring at them:
"This way.."
:The two walk down the other way and continue to chat:
"It's not far. He owes me a favor anyways, so shouldn't be a big deal."

"Okay."
:: Ayin follows along, trusting the man. ::
"Who is this friend of yours? And what did you do for him?"
:: She was always a bit nosy, though he made no excuses for it. She knew she was curious and was unashamed. After all, didn't she have a little bit of a right to know, since she was going with this guy. ::

:He pauses towards the end of the alley and pushes open an old rotten looking door:
"Eh....too many to think of....I think the last time I helped get him out of a little trouble."
:The two enter and he closes it tightly behind them. Rube locks the door and clicks on a light. It's dim and flickers to make it worse. The room is damp and stinks terribly:

:: When they step into the room, Ayin makes a face at the smell. Though the door was closed and locked, she back up against it. Man, she was not wanting to be here. ::
"Can we make this fast? It smells in here....No offense to your friend."
:: For the first time, Ayin seemed a little nervous and jumpy. She didn't like this place because it was virtually impossible for her to see, due to her poor eyesight and the even worse lighting conditions. ::

"No problem miss.."
:The man smirks and faces her. He pulls off his sunglasses and jacket. They're thrown to the ground and he pulls out his blade:
"Sorry hunny.....but this is what I do."
:He grins and lunges at her, gripping her throat tightly he leans in to her and runs the blade along her side:
"Mmmmm....I've been waiting for this.."

:: There is a moment of shock when she just stands there, wide eyed, and stares at the man who is cutting off her air supply. Then, her survival instinct kicks in. Ayin brings her knee up into his crotch, getting him to loosen his grip slightly. As she does so, his blade knicks her side, but she ignores the pain as she tries to twist away from it and push him off her. ::
Should've known better....
:: That was her last thought as she turned and frantically tried to get the door unlocked. She was practically blind, so things were going smoothly. She was really missing her weapons now. She had left her sword on her ship and the men had taken her daggers. ::
"Son of a...."
:: Giving up on the door, she saw a dirty window. Rushing over to it, she began trying to get it open. Again, the thing was jarred in place. Knowing she had no other choice, she brought her elbow to the glass hard, letting out a little breath of relief as it shattered. ::
This is going to hurt.

:Rube groans for a moment but can't give up on his latest victim. He smirks and almost chuckles at her futile attempts to get away. He grabs her back and punches her kidneys as hard as he can before throwing her to the ground:
"Now now my dear. You were enjoying me before. Why the change of heart?"
:He kneels down next to her and runs the blade along her face:
"I'll tell you what. Do what I say and I'll do what you want."
:He stops running the blade against her and leans back:
"What do you say?"

:: Ayin was in a state of shock. She was never one to take pain well, and the jabs to her kidneys was painful. She'll be peeing blood for a week. As he talked to her, she whimpered through the haze of pain. ::
"Please...."
:: She jerked away from the cool touch of his blade. She'd never trust so easily again. Knowing that the only way for her to get away was to catch the man off guard and probably use his blade against him, seeing as she had no weapon of her own. ::
"Okay. Lets start with you getting off me."
:: Despite what she was thinking, she mouthed off to him. Her brain wasn't making the connection with her mouth, it seemed. Before he could use the knife on her, though, she did her best to correct her mistake. ::
"Okay, okay...whatever you want...."
:: He had to let his guard down at some point, yes? ::

:He grins:
"If it were only that easy of me getting off you. That's the opposite I intend for."
:He continues to hold her down and put a knee into her back:
