:: Having seen Lillith angry once or twice, Julie feels an intense sympathy for Simon's parents. She gives Lillith an encouraging smile. ::
"At least he's got good parents, right?"
:: After a moment, she sighs in disbelief. ::
"I can't believe so much has happened... I've just been travelling the worlds."
:: She absently traces a finger around the silver ring on her pendant. ::
"But... I didn't find what I was looking for. So I decided I should just move on. Maybe it'll just come back to me. If not..."
:: She trails off for a moment, as if caught up in her thoughts. ::
"... I guess I won't mind so much anymore."

::Lillith sighs and puts her arm around Julie's shoulder::
You mean Clerian?
::She feels Julie tense::
I'm sorry, it's none of my business.

"I..." :: Julie stammers a bit, before regaining her composure. :: "... I could've guessed you knew." :: She sighs. :: "We didn't even know each other that long. I just hoped... he'd figure out how not to be a soldier all the time, y'know?" :: Her hand slowly drops away from the pendant. :: "Anyway... like I said, I can't wait for him forever. If he comes back, I'll be here. If he doesn't... then I guess we just weren't meant to be." :: For a moment, Julie is jealous of Lillith. She and Kenny had a happy ending. Julie and Clerian barely had a beginning. She knew what her father would say - something like 'first loves aren't always forever'. Maybe a little less eloquently than that, but basically the same point. :: ((OOC - It has to be a Loire thing. Laguna meets his first love - he gets shipped out. Marries his second love, and she dies. Gets involved with Rainii and Julie's mother, then they split up. ))

(OOC: Plus Rainii and Crohan)
::Lillith rubs her hand along Julie's back encouragingly::
Don't sound so doom and gloom about it. He might still come back. Crohan did. And even if he doesn't, you are young, independant and pretty damn attractive.

((OOC - They just keep coming back together, though. )) :: Julie smiles at the compliment. :: "Thanks. Now that I've been out there, I think I can move on. Without forgetting... I don't want to forget." :: Her smile seems to hold a lot more hope now. :: "Anyway, when does Shaft get here? He sounds so different now... and I'd like to meet your family, too!"

::A shrill whistling zooms over the girls' heads as a sleek black shape flies overhead. Lillith sighs::
Now.
::The Inquisition lands as gracefully as ever, and the gangplank lowers as Shaft makes his exit. His hair is still gray and his skin is still quite pale, but he looks much healthier than when Julie saw him last. He's boasting a larger chest and mor pronounced shoulders, and its clear that he now has the use of both his arms. His attire is much more casual as well now, sporting a pair of black slacks tucked into leather riding boots and a white v-neck collared shirt. He gives her a broad grin::
Shaft: Well if it isn't Rainii's baby sister! It's great to see you!

:: Julie stares for a moment, almost but not quite in shock. After talking with Lillith, she's beginning to expect everything to be different than she expects. ::
"Shaft?!"
:: He looks a lot more approachable now than when Julie last saw him. Impusively, she runs to give him a quick, friendly hug. ::
"So, I heard you gave up the whole witch-hunting thing. I have to say I'm glad... since my sister's a sorceress and everything. But, what have you been up to? You look great, by the way!"

Shaft: What can I say? These sorceresses are a lot cuter when they're little.
::Lillith rolls her eyes::
Shaft and Rose help me run the Garden. So does Kenny, when he's not sneaking off to fight monsters at the Veldt. That reminds me, did you ever figure out what the deal was with your powers? I'm still not sure you're a sorceress. It's too faint for me to pick anything up. The only people I could think of that could pick something like that up would be Rainii or Gw--
::She stops immediately. It was easier for her to talk about Gwen after reaching some kind of odd understanding on the Variola, but from what she remembered of Julie's meeting with her, the younger Loire sister had been terrified of her::

'"Gw"? Guinevere...'
:: Julie tenses slightly at her sudden recollection of her encounter with Guinevere. Time and distance has made it easier to think about. Still, a lot of her usual cheerfulness has drained from her voice. ::
"Guinevere seemed to know... or suspect. I don't know. I still have a letter from Natalia, but nothing since."
'Except sorceresses keep calling me "sister".'
*You overestimate yourself, impostor.*
:: Julie's eyes widen a bit, and she instinctively turns to face the source of the voice. Realizing that it was the same disembodied voice from before, she turns to Lillith again. ::
"Okay, I can't be the only one hearing this!"
((OOC - I wonder what Julie's reaction to Wendy would be? ;D By the way, it's up to you whether Lillith hears the voice or not.))

(OOC: That would be pretty funny to see. What would be your excuse for going to Treno?)
::Lillith and Shaft exchange glances, and neither one of them seem confused or surprised::
What does it sound like? An angry female in the back of your head?

((OOC - With a Loire, do you really need an excuse to travel to random places? )) :: Julie nods, appearing relieved. :: "Yeah! Angry and insulting. It was ordering those girls to attack me before!"

::Lillith sighs::
I think you should come to the Garden with me. It'll be easier to talk about it there. Ignore her until then.

:: Julie almost mutters her reply. ::
"Believe me, I'm trying."
:: The voice has dimmed down to a light echo after a moment, and Julie's cheerful smile returns - if just a tiny bit forced. ::
"Anyway, let's just go. I can't wait to meet your family, Lillith. Yours too, Shaft. I heard you even married a sorceress."
:: She flashes a teasing wink at the former witch hunter. ::
