"No, Sid's jus'a big jerk."
By now the commotion amoungst the fellow LPA has died down as they prepare for the assault. The loud-speakers are blaring more incessant propaganda from the Red Regent, even the Commistar comes on to speak about the impending fight.
Soon then, the commanding officers and Connolly start to rally the troops, to go over the battle-plans and a speech.
"Lets go." Oliver takes Iole by the hand as they walk over to the rally point.

::She squeezes his hand as he leads her back to the others and whispers::
So what's the plan now? It looks like the Regent's troops already pulled back.

"My guess, we are gonna push t'em back to t'e pa'ace."
At the rallying point, Connolly and the other officers stand upon some ammo crates to address the troops. In Connolly's hand is a bullhorn.
"They faced us with their bombs! They faced us with their guns! They faced us with their war! And everyday, with our tenacity and our spirit, we tell them that we don't want this and them anymore! Today is the day we stop fighting on our own land and bring it to theirs!"
Around the camp, trucks, technicals, make-shift armor cars lined with welded metal panels, roll in and crews spring from them and begin loading up ammo and munitions.
"The Commitsar, our great Comrade, has provided us with the weapons and the spirit we need to bring the fight to the aristocracy. We will go out into their streets, take the city block by block, street by street, till we stand on the gates of the Palace. Today, my comrades, will be the day that will resound through history as the day an army of the proletariat stood up to the atrocities of a regent and fought and won for the rights of the working-class!"
Connolly hands off the bullhorn to one of his lesser-officers. "Break off into your respective units and wait for further orders. Also, we are expecting civilians to fight with us today to fill holes in the ranks left by last night's bombing. Further details will be given out within your units. Everyone, dismissed!"
With a roar of cheers, the LPA praise the Party and the Commitsar before dispersing into their units. Oliver takes Iole's hand as they go to find Connolly.

Captain.
::Iole addresses Connolly a little more formally than usual and keeps her face blank::
Awaiting orders sir.

Connolly gives Iole a look, almost wanting to laugh. "Then get in line." He states, head motioning to the LPA who have fallen in line, facing him.
"Right, now that you're all here, listen up!" In his hand is a clipboard, which he inspects periodically as he speaks. "This is the largest assault we've ever undertaken, all divisions of the LPA will be involved as well as civilian units, because of this... we have a limited amount of ammunition and guns, many of our supplies were destroyed in the bombings. LPA will be given first priority for weapons so don't complain."
He pauses for a moment, reading the clipboard. "This unit will be involved in the initial assault on the fashion district, once we secure that area we'll get further orders. It's pretty basic, we will be departing in one of the trucks over yonder, assisted by an armored car and a technical. Our goal is surprise, we hit em fast and hard. We're moving in the hour, further orders will be given onboard the truck. Dismissed."
The unit relaxes and mingles among themselves, they're anxious but ready. Oliver turns to Iole, with a half-smile. "T'is is goin'to get pret'y crazy, isn't it? Seems you'll ge'to go shoppin' after all."

::Iole appreciates the joke, but something about the situation makes her uneasy, and of all things it's someone she can't stand::
He said we're attacking the Fashion District. That's where Violette is. Will she be okay?

Oliver nods. "If anyone can hold her own, its Violette. She'll get through it ok, don't worry."

(OOC: Sorry for taking control of Connolly)
::Elsewhere in the area, away from Oliver and Iole, Connolly makes his way to a small covered horse drawn wagon that's somehow managed to get into their encampment. The woman at the reigns is hidden by a dark hood, but the wooden cross swinging at her neck suggests she's a nun::
Connolly: State your business sister.
Just delivering what little we kan to the meek of the earth.
::She pulls back her hood to reveal her snow white face. Connolly grins::
Connolly: Miss Scarlet I presume.
At your service.
::She pulls back the cloth that's keeping her cargo hidden to allow him a glimpse of what she's brought::
Beck had them delivered to the abbey in kase this happened. But the tunnels were deemed unsafe since Beck's kapture, so I had to kome myself. I kame as soon as I heard the explosions. It's not much, but they're Estharian made. It should level the playing field some.

"Show them. I'm sure if they have come through the abbey, they'll be of much use." States Connolly, waiting with his arms crossed.

I'm sure there's at least enough for your brigade. I was intrukted to make sure the Red Dragoons were taken kare of first. You must be doing something right to kome so highly rekommended.
::She pulls the tarp back fully to reveal that the cart is filled with Estharian rifles, handguns, grenades, and underneath the weaponry, the wagon is lined with sets of full body combat armor::
Suit up Kaptain. And God be with you.

Connolly and the other officer with him look over the munitions with interest.
"Almost seems more then enough to take the position, what about the other units, are they getting a piece of this cake?" He asks while checking on of the rifles.

Only what your brigade doesn't use. I'm sorry, I wish we had more, but this is all we managed to get our hands on. They aktually asked that distribution be placed in your charge, and they kalled you by name.

Connolly pauses as Sister Wendy speaks. "Then pack it up, I don't want to use what others don't have. It's not right. We either fight alike or fight not at all, I won't take any special equipment."

::Sister Wendy shakes her head::
These orders kame from the Kommitstar himself. Akkording to Beck, he knew you were going to be heading the charge. As an agent of the church, I don't have any alleigance to the Kommitstar, just to the kause. But I'd advise against turning down his generosity. They're really just a prototype to see if your troops kan handle them. Perhaps he thinks that using this equipment will finally sway Esthar to our side. Rainii Loire has been very on the fence about the issue.

Its apparent that Connolly is contemplating the use of these weapons, his fellow officers wait for his answer. "Fine, we'll take them for this push... but only this push."
Upon that statement, the other officers and some regular soldiers begin to unload the munitions.
"Thanks for coming through the chaos, you going to need some assistance back?"

::Wendy gives him a cheeky smile::
What would the Regent's guard possibly have against a simple nun leaving the city? Don't worry, I was given immunity as a spiritual praktitioner. They barely spared me a glance on my way here. God speed Kaptain.
::She makes a clicking noise with her tongue, signalling her horse to turn around and make it's way back through the city's gates::
(OOC: Little bit of trivia, even though she doesn't realize she has it, Gwen's ability to drain energy from people however weak it is now, makes her more persuasive. Particularly to the weak minded like the men who guard the gate)

Connolly adjusts his barrett as the nun departs. "Ballsy girl..." He twirls his hand. "Alright, get situated, we move soon!" He calls out to his unit. As he speaks a covered troop truck backs up beside the newly acquired munitions.

::One of the soldiers attempt to hand some of the newly aqcuired equipment to Iole, but she waves it away::
I don't need it. I wouldn't know what to do with it anyway. Give it to someone who needs it.
::That being said, she sets to helping Oliver into the armored vest he was given::

"I real'y don'feel right about wearin' armor. My body has taken bullets and blasts before wit'no real problem." He states looking at the bulky armor now over his chest. "Give it to anot'er." He says throwing it off. He holds it in his hands for a moment, then throws it to a fellow soldier.
In the distance, the civilians are being fitted for weapons. Sadly, the lack of munitions and weapons leaves them in a peculiar predicament. "You are going to be given either a clip or rifle! When the man infront of you dies, you will pick up his rifle or clip and continue fighting! Any retreaters will be shot, make the Commitsar proud!" Screams a LPA soldier into a bullhorn to the frightened civilian troops, somehow, deep down inside, to those paying attention it appears that the 'new troops' aren't exactly excited to be fighting this day or any day.

I thought you said the civilians had volunteered. They look more like they were drafted.
