Ren just removed his hands from both of their heads and looked at Adrian. "hmmm.."

::Lillith stares the younger two down::
Oliver, traipsing around the city without a care in the world while a maniac is on the loose was very foolish. I have half a mind to send you packing to the Garden right now just to keep you out of trouble. What do you have to say for yourself?

::Iole interrupts::
It was actually my fault Lillith. I said I was going out for a bit to see the city, and Ollie here, being the gentleman he is, decided to take me around. He even bought me some warmer gear because he thought I looked cold. Isn't that just the sweetest thing?
::Ren mentions the street fight, but before he can elaborate, Iole back steps hard on his foot, and he hears her voice in his head::
Shut up.

Ren didn't say anything and went up to Lillith. He turned back to the two kids. "You two can sit."
Ren continued to Lillith and whispered in her ear so that only she could hear. "It wasn't them who started the trouble.. well I came too late; so its basically my fault I let them on their own. Please don't go too harsh on them, well, not this time."
He then went back and took a seat.

Adrian turns to Lillith.
"Lillith, I don't see what the trouble really is. They are fine and I'm quite sure Oliver here knows the city well enough not to get into too much trouble. I don't think Iole even needs to worry, whats a murderer compared to what she has surely faced."
He approaches Oliver, lowering his kaffiya from around his had to his shoulder and kneels down infront of the boy and offers his hand out for the boy to shake in greeting. "Hello, Oliver, I am Adrian. I'm a friend of mean ol'Lillith and have come to help in the investigation."
Adrian notices Oliver staring curiously at Ashi, which rests coiled around Adrian's neck. "Oh, I see you noticed Ashi. Wish to hold her? She quite gentle." Adrian slowly uncoils Ashi from around his neck - who still appears mostly docile from the cold, and with her draped over his arms, he hands her to Oliver. "Don't be rough with her, she won't like that very much."
With Oliver now amusing himself with Ashi, Adrian continues on. "Anyway, Oliver, I do things differently then the others here have done in searching for clues and I need you to help me. Can you do that?"
Oliver nods, though still focused on the snake in his hands. "Good, what we're going to do is kinda like a card game but you don't win or loose, just choose. Want to give it a try?"
With that, Adrian stands up and looks back to Lillith. "If I may, I wish to take Oliver to the table in the corner."

::Lillith takes a seat around one of the pub's tables neat the others, crossing her legs and folding her arms in a very sulky manner::
"Can't get into too much trouble" clearly you don't know him that well.
::She watches the reading with curiosity, wondering just what kind of unusual lead Oliver will be able to pull out of the cards::

"Well, perhaps I don't, but still all the same." Adrian says with a chuckle. "Anyway, this way Oliver. Hold onto Ashi."
Adrian leads Oliver to the table in the corner, mentioning to the others that they will need to maintain a distance, else interrupt the reading.
He tells Oliver to sit on the other side of the table, opposite of where he is sitting. "Alright, Oliver." Adrian takes out a deck of long cards, worn and tattered with unusual pictures on their backs and blue astrological pattern on their front. He shuffles a few times then places them on the table between himself and Oliver. "Now Oliver, need you to cut the deck, doesn't matter how."
Oliver nods, muttering a rather odd and unsure ok and cuts the deck near the bottom.
Adrian takes back the deck and begins, placing the cards out with their faces down in a double-decker pattern infront of Oliver till all twenty-two cards are laying on the table.
"Alright Oliver, need you to start by flipping two cards, one from the top and one from the bottom. Choose whichever ones call you to them the most."
It takes Oliver a moment but he turns two cards over, revealing the Fool and the Hermit.
"Now two more Oliver."
Again, Oliver does the same, the hint of uncertainty and confusion in his eyes, but Adrian keeps reassuring him he is doing well. After ten cards have turned, Adrian tells Oliver to stop.
"Now, Oliver, pay attention to me and what I'm about to say. It might not make a whole lot of sense to you now, but listen..."

Through all this, Oliver isn't quite sure what to make of Adrian or this silly card game he is making him play. Its apparent in his eyes that he didn't know what this had to do with him, the murderer or anything else for that matter. They were, after all, just cards with pictures on them - odd pictures assuredly, but pictures none the less.
However, he is taking delight in petting Ashi, having never held or seen a snake before except in pictures. The texture of its body felt odd on his finger tips, not bad or smiley, but smooth and the slight tickle of her tongue against his fur made him laugh some.
When Adrian tells him to listen, Oliver looks back up from the snake. He didn't want to hear some sort of lecture, but being trapped, surrounded by these people made him uncomfortable enough he didn't want to say anything on the contrary.

"Please, no distractions." Mutters Adrian, his eyes looking to Ren.
Adrian points to the first two cards Oliver turned, the Fool and Hermit. "The Fool and Hermit, Oliver, appear to be talking directly about you. The Fool says that you are becoming reckless and without guidance but with the Hermit, together they say there is something inside you that hasn't surfaced but only needs the right direction or guidance to have it appear within you."
Adrian motions to the next cards that were flipped, the Moon and Devil. "You brew with hate and revenge, sparked by the feelings of abandonment, you seek out the one who has wronged you but don't know where to look."
Adrian points to the next two cards flipped, the Chariot and Wheel of Fortune. "Here, they say you are getting close to that which you seek but uncertainty still lies, the choices you make will determine their next move and either bring you that much closer or farther."
The next cards, the Emperor and the Tower, two very powerful cards when combined. "Now, this is interesting... its a literal interpretation." Adrian takes a moment to analyze them. "The one you seek is the king that heralds his own decline... I'm sorry but that's all I can interpret with that."
The next and last two are Death and the Magician. "Interesting, behind the one you seek is another, two more that are like the first but they are being manipulated by a third party, someone that can't be seen yet are all tied back to that one. Find him and you'll find the end."
Adrian leans back and sighs, running his hand over his face in exhaustion. "I hope I didn't scare you any, Oliver, the cards are just an interpretation. It is up to you to find the truth in their meaning." He looks to Lillith. "I don't know if that is any help, again, it is all about personal interpretation. Excuse me, but I need to catch my breath for a moment." Adrian leans his head back and breathes deeply, appearing mentally exhausted from the reading.

Adrian runs his hand over his eyes and looks over to Ren. "My people have a long tradition in these arts, in a way, I suppose 'fortune-teller' is an accurate term. I'm a performer by profession though, this I don't normally do for anyone. In the end however, it's merely a skill that has been passed down in my family long before any empire or king ruled."
Adrian turns then, back to the cards and slides them back into one pile. "It's ok Oliver, we are done now. You did well, now to hope that something can be made of what I saw. May I get Ashi back, she needs to be wrapped up again. Snakes do not do well in cold weather."
Once Ashi has been returned and the cards collected and stowed, Adrian stands and addresses the group. "I don't know your feelings on this type of art, but I hope that something in the child's reading can be of assistance. I really hope coming all this way was all for not."

Oliver looks back to Lillith and nods. "Ya, was kin'a neat, it was. Ya see 'is snake! Thas was the dogs bollocks!" Odd how Oliver suddenly seems excited by the reading, the innocence of ignorance. "Bu wha did it mean? Wha he said? I don get it none."
