--Continued from Foxes Unwelcomed--
Clive smiles. "Of course! I mastered that skill in school. Should see me read the back of cereal boxes, its almost artistic." He chuckles.
The area around them is tranquil and calm, with colorful meadows and green fields that blanket the area like a patchwork quilt. The soft dirt road that winds through the surroundings is lined with a wooden picket fence and if one didn't know better, you'd think there would be an antique shop at the roads end.
"Well, this place is almost too nice." Mutters Clive as he walks along the road, towards the tiny town in the distance. "Amazed it hasn't been touched."

Kakohyto laughed, "Cereal boxes, huh?"
She also looked around at there surroundings, "It is pretty nice. But how can it be too nice?" Her ears flopped as usual as she tilted her head.

Clive laughs. "You really haven't been out in the world very long, have you." He sighs, voice sound more and more depressed. "Destruction, chaos, constant wars. Little has been untouched by this, just recently Esthar and Treno have been razed, and thats just been in the course of three weeks or so. Anyway..."
Clive changes the subject, having dealt with enough of the depressing business for far too long. "How did you learn that nifty air ripping trick thingy, never anything quite like that before." His head turns to Kako as they walk, tail beating side to side lazily with each step.

Kakohyto's tail hung down only moving because of the beat of her legs, "I've always sort of known it. When I was little I would lose my toys that way. As I grew I used it to escape. He always seemed to know I left though."
This was depressing to her. Endless rain and being stuck with an Uncle yelling at her could make your past sad.

"Your uncle sounded like quite the d***, least he never sent you away to a boarding school because of that ability." Clives voice becomes resentful. "I use to have a similar problem, still do. I have a nasty tendency to... set things on fire or ruin electronics... sometimes worse." Remembering the horrible event at a friends birthday party when he was just a kit.
Clive jingles the staff, causing the lanterns to rattle against each other. "Me and electricity have a strange affinity for each other."

Kakohyto's face was thoughtful, "I don't have any strange powers like that. My Uncle always said he would put me back in the ground were I wont see the light. So, it might have something to do with that. Though I have felt nothing from either earth or light."
"Is electricity in your staff?" She tilted her head up to him and her ears flopped.

"I would say that's one strange power you have, cutting space like that." Clive commends. "As for my staff, there's some electricity in there." He jiggles the lanterns some more, they make dull metallic clanks. "The blue light inside those have a pretty hefty charge, but its my body that is the conductor. I'm static cling incarnate." He softly laughs. "But I've learned to channel it... most of the time. Except at Daguerreo..."
He raises displays his right arm for Kako to see. "Use this to help focus it away from body." Referring to the copper gauntlet that's strapped snuggly to the top of his hand and along his wrist and forearm. "Same with the wire coils on the my left wrist."
By now, the two have entered into the outskirts of the town. Strangely, it feels almost deserted except for the fact it's so well maintained.

Kakohyto's ears start twitching nervously but her tone is light, "What would happen if you didn't concentrate it? Or I touched the coils?"
She was disturbed by the peace of the town. Maybe something can be too peaceful She thought to her self as she looked in to the shadows to see if there was something living. Rats didn't even come here and the thought made her tail twitch.

"Oh." Clive laughs. "I'm pretty well grounded now, don't really have to worry -unless it gets really dry or an electrical storm starts." He takes a moment to look around. "Odd town... anyway! I'm fine to touch, just don't grab the coils if I'm channeling any of my blue zappy juice."
He notices her unease, which in turn makes him uneasy. "This place got you kinda... awkward feeling? So quiet... HELLO!" He yells but with no reply. "A ghost town perhaps?"

"Why would anyone leave a town like this compleatly abandoned? Wait..." Her eyes grew wide, "What if it's being attacked?" She strained to see the sourroundings but didn't see anything.

((OOC - Yeah, I know, I'm using the old school FFT format. Everyone seems to have different posting styles these days! )) :: Near the entrance of Winhill, Julie Loire slowly trudges into town. She's soaking wet from head to toe. Her clothes, however, are somewhat dry, indicating that she wasn't wearing them whenever she got wet. :: ' REALLY stupid to try walking... can't even reach this place without swimming down a stupid river.' :: She almost makes it to the central square before falling to her knees, trying desperately to catch her breath. She had been travelling all over the continent... first Deling City, where her mother had been strangely absent for some reason. Then Timber, which was uneventful until around the time she left. But she never thought making it to Winhill would be such a hassle. :: ' How did Dad ever end up here in the first place?' :: She tries to get up, but her legs give out completely and she ends up falling on her face instead. Suddenly, she wonders why no concerned villagers are rushing to help. Even Winhill shouldn't be THIS quiet. :: ' Hello? Anyone even here?' :: She sighs, muttering to herself between breaths. :: "I guess I'm... staying here for a while..."

Kakohyto jumped as she heard heavily breathing. Her over reactive mind making her think of a huge man holding a weapon about to blow both of there heads off.
"Do you hear that?" He ears were twitching nervously as she stopped in her tracks. Her tail tip twitched in anxiety.

Kakohyto was too jumpy to be soothed by his kindness and jumped. Her tail fluffed up and her ears were up strait on her head.
She began to gather her self but her tail staid fluffed out, "How?"

"Well guess this place isn't as abandoned as we thought." Says Clive, somewhat confused but generally calm. "Her heart stop? Cause that I can fix..." Clive approaches and looks at the limp girl in his arms. "No, she's not in cardiac arrest. I think she needs water... " Noticing that the girl is somewhat wet. "Or less water..."

:: Julie's eyes remain closed, but her breathing seems to slowly return to normal. She moans, and mutters something unintelligible under her breath... possibly talking in her sleep. ::

Clive shrugs. "You're the first people we've seen since we got here..." He takes a moment to look at the buildings around him, noticing one particular that appears larger then the rest. "Perhaps that one." He points to the larger building. "But I have a feeling it won't really mater... this place is a ghost town."
