Scientist 1: As a matter of fact, we could use another observer.
::Rajan is lead to what appears to be a containment room, inside was a guy wearing a hazmat suit injecting something into a rabbit::
Scientist 1: ::Hands Rajan a notepad and pencil:: Take notes.
::The hazmat quickly leave as the rabbit starts twitching and growing, it's skin also tearing due to the increase mass:: Test subject 40 is showing an increase in mass as well as some signs of mutations not present in its natural form. It's blunt nails are more becoming more curved and shaper, its teeth once also blunt are now more similiar to that of a shark.
::The rabbit creature roars and runs to the glass, but doesn't succeed in breaking through::
It has also shown an increase in hostility and strenght, but still very little intelligence.

::Rajan is slightly startled by the rabbit::
is this supposed to happen?
::He asks while taking notes as instructed::

Scientist 1: It wouldn't be called a mutagen if it didn't do this. Seems this batch has made some improvements from the original, but retaining the intelligence is still more difficult than I thought. But the subject shows some promise by artificial means. ::He pulls out a access card and puts it into a slot near the observation window and pushes a button. Gas fills the chamber as the creature stops and passes out:: We'll have one of the other branches continue from here. At least they won't have the same trouble we do, seems one of our higher-ups slipped and gave confidential information out. Now we have to memorize the new access codes.

Here's my chance
::Rajan sighed::
Idiot, listen guys if you don't need me I gotta get a move on
::he turned swiftly on his heel and walked to the door::
Wait the passwords have all been changed, dang it, can you guys tell me the code so i can access the mainframe, sorry

Scientist 1: Of course. It's 'Paracelsus'. And I know the dolt in charge of maintenance will most likely forget or didn't listen, do pass it on to him.

Thanks Rajan.
::He types the password and gets a confirmation sound. He smiles before searching through the files, trying to find the data. He eventually finds it, but what he sees inside them sickens him.::
Dear Gaia, these people must be insane. He thought spoke without realizing it.

What's wrong
::Rajan exited the room and looked down the hallway::
Where are you at?

I'm still downloading the data. But I'm not liking what I'm seeing. Research reports on experiments they've performed, using many different test subjects. But the most gruesome I've seen are the tests they performed on living humans. And each one either says 'Disposed' or 'Moved for further testing'. And I see an awful lot of disposed and few moved, but they still have one human test subject stored here. And I see a field test mark next to it, and the location is here in Midgar. Someone must have deep pockets to not only fund all of this, but also keep the police from getting suspicious.
::He looks at the screen as it read 64% and climbing::
It's just about finished, but we need to make sure what they'll unleash won't make it out of here alive.

That's just evil, testing on humans well at least we finally get to do something fun
::Rajan walks down the hall to the fork::
So where are you?

I'm still in the control room, the download is nearly finished. At 90% percent now and climbing. And companies like these have no morals about doing human testing. Though it's illegal, they figure if they bribe the right people that are higher up in the governments, the world turns a blind eye to their deeds. Some places have become a safe haven for those that perform unethical experiments. Luckily there are some governments that actually help to expose these experiments and are on the side of us heroes. ::A ding signals the download is finished:: It's done, I'll meet you in the hall and lead the way to that prototype.
::After he ejects the disk and pockets it, the door opens as another scientist enters the room::
Scientist: Excuse me, I'm your relief. Go take a break.
"Thanks. I think I will."
::After Jas leaves, the scientist types in some commands on the keyboard::
Scientist: Looks like this place has been discovered, time to make some back-ups and scrap all of this. ::Types:: Including the staff, they're expendable.
::Away from the room, Jas caught up with Rajan.::
"Ready to end this?"

"Let's go."
::As they approached where the prototype was stored, the lights suddenly went out as a alarm rings out while the emergency lights kicked on::
Speaker: WARNING. WARNING. MAIN REACTOR HAS GONE OFF-LINE. IMPORTANT SECURITY SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN DEACTIVATED.
::Far from where they were, the cages holding the creatures the scientists are working on unlocked as the creatures break free, attacking the personnel. The sounds of screaming reaches them along with the sound of a massacre going on. Some grunts get closer as some of the experiments come into view. The first appeared to be similar to that of a Doberman, but it's skin looked decayed as it growled at the two. It charged at the two, only to be sent back by a Aero spell casted by Jas::
"I think now we don't need to worry about our cover! ::Slams his hand to the floor:: Summoning: Kyran!"
::A light portal opened infront of him as Kyran jumped through, their swords clutched in her maw before tossing them to them::
((OOC: Feel free to add any biological science creature to this))

((OOC: so much to choose, what shall it be, I need an epic planning chart))
::Rajan grabbed his weapon::
"did you release these guys?"
::A quick jump in the air with an unnecessary spin brings Rajan to the other side of the escaped creatures::
"A double sided assault seems like a good idea"
::He hesitated with stabbing the doberman::
"Should we kill them?"
|
|
|

Rajan: Did you release these guys?
"No, I made sure I stayed away from the security." ::As he grasped his sword, it changed into its Excalibur form beflore slicing another doberman in half::
Rajan: Should we kill them?
"We have to. If these things escape, they'll turn Midgar into a blood bath." ::He slices at another creature, the blade reducing the creature to ash. "As soon as a way is clear, make a run for it!"

::Rajan stabs the doberman, then slices another deformity::
"I still feel bad killing them"

"Then don't think of it as killing monsters, think of putting them out of their misery. They might not show it, but I can see their souls crying out to be freed, only for them to be confined to these abominations." ::Slices another as the path is clear::

((OOC: It's alright, been keeping myself occupied with something else))
"No. We'll need them alive to tell us who is behind this. Besides, their 'creations' are also taking their revenge." ::Once a way was clear:: "Move!" ::They get to the containment room and step inside. Amid the chaos they did not know they were being watched from the security room:: "There it is." ::Inside the capsule was human shaped figure. But as they got closer, the creature was now far beyond human, it's lips were gone, showing fangs. It's eye lids also gone, showing pupil-less eyes in a unblinking stare. It's skin was a ghastly white with numerous surgical scars. But what made it truly grotesque was the malformed claw that replaced its right arm, and its heart outside of the chest, beating to signal it was alive. Tubes were attached to it, feeding the creature intravenously::
