::Gwen swivelled to face Kerion::
I have a kouple.
::She snapped her fingers and an illusion appeared in front of them; a set of maps spanning the known worlds of Gaia::
Lukkily for us, little Iole's already built quite the reputation for herself. It's a bit of a gamble, but she was been instrumental in saving a number of nations in the past. I already have Treno under my kommand, and the memory of the war with the Order of the Lokus has not faded even after all these years. That's just one of the cities she's taken part in defending. And when the general publik learns that the Empire the old skourge of Gaia is now her aktive opponent, I imagine some of them will klamor for their leaders to support her.

Gwen: I think our best solution would be to land and go our seperate ways, and from there we figure out our next move. In the meantime, Kyran, would you kare to show our "guest" to his quarters.
::Stefan took the hint as the tigress growled and motioned her head toward the exit, and as he was led to the cabins, he was very aware of Lillith and Oliver's eyes at his back, like a pair of pistols with fingers at the trigger. He kept his head held high. He'd stand by his decision, despite the icy treatment of the rest of the crew and the other "heroes". They weren't the reason he was here. Once he was out of earshot of everyone else, he turned to his guide::
Stefan: Kyran, I have a request to make.
::The tigress was wary of this, but listened to his plea::
Stefan: Iole's upset.
::The way he said it made it sound as though this were a feeling of his own and not based on what he had seen::
Stefan: Would it be alright if I went to see her.
Kyran: I was ordered to make sure you stayed in your cabin.
Stefan: Unless I was summoned. Her cabin is on the way. Would it be alright if I knocked and asked her permission? Otherwise, I will return with you without resistance.
::Again Kyran hesitated::
Kyran: Alright. If she agrees, I'll remain outside the door, but I will be listening. And if you say anything to upset her, I will make good on my earlier promise chew-toy.
Stefan: As you wish. But if you weren't planning on giving us privacy in the first place, then what is the point of remaining outside?
Kyran: It's not that, it's just... I really don't like being around Iole when she's eating. It's a little frightening.
::Stefan restrained himself from rolling his eyes, knowing full well that this was a slight embarassment for a tigress of Kyran's calibur::
Stefan: You have my word I will not do anything to upset her. I just... want to see if I can help at all.
::Whatever her feelings were of her loyalty to Jas and her orders, she was at least able to detect sincerity in his intentions::

::the knock that came at Iole's cabin was as expected as it was dreaded, and again she could sense who was on the other side of the door just as she had before. She threw aside the fourth meat-pie she had begun devouring that night and moved to let him in. Why was she letting him in? That was right, to punch him in the face for ruining her life! She threw the lock back and turned her back:: It's open. ::She waited to hear his footsteps:: Close the door. ::She waited for the click, then curled her fist and whirled around for the punch. When he caught her fist in his hand, just mere inches from his face, her frustration only grew. She growled, but she kept her voice low. The last thing she wanted was for Oliver to hear her distress and come charging in like he was going to save the day again and deprive her of getting some answers, or at the very least some revenge:: What do you want? Stefan: I'm sorry. I knew you were upset. And you thought you coming here would make it any better? Most of this is your fault. Before you showed up, everything was going fine. Look at this! ::She held up her other hand, the one that had Oliver's ring displayed proudly on its finger:: I was going to get married! Do you have any idea how long that took? Stefan: Then he's a truly a lucky man, but blaming all of your relationship strife on me is hardly fair. I don't really understand what's going on myself. But if you feel you must take it out on me, then here. ::Slowly he lowered his hand and hers with it:: Stefan: Strike me as many times as you like. I won't fight. ::It played in her head more than once as she wavered on the decision; punching in that too perfect face with its strange golden eyes. But each time her fist struck it in her mind, she felt a pang of guilt and regret. She unclenched her fists and sighed:: I'm sorry. You're right, it's not your fault. I just don't know how to react to all this. I mean, why are we dreaming about each other? Stefan: I was hoping you could tell me. I'm a little ashamed to say this, but I'm actually not too familiar with the nature of our kind. It's not something I had many questions about until now. It was just sort of who I am. Same here. I thought I was the only one like me. It never occured to me there were more of us. Stefan: Then perhaps if we are to understand this, we need to help each other. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TXC4G3n3Uk::He held out his hand to her, and she stared at it like she would a snake. But that didn't stop her from taking it in her own. Outside the door, the moment their hands touched, Kyran raised her head:: Kyran: Jas?

I know Kyran, I felt it too.
Kyran: What is it?
A bond of some kind. I felt something similar to it before.
Kyran: When was that?
When I first started training Eva when she was a child. The bond between me and Eva took years to fully form, but this is instantaneous. I don't know what is causing it between Stefan and Iole, I think it must have something to do with the dragon blood they posses.

::After the Events in Figaro::
::The heroes made themselves a place in the control room as Anya made preparations for take-off. Guinevere continued to explain the details of what had transpired with the council room. Iole sat almost apart from the group with her eyes on the floor::
Stefan: So they refused their support to Iole?
::Gwen turned her chair to face him::
In light of their kurrent situation kan you blame them? And it won't be long before the Kount swoops in on their krippled regime and offers aid. And that will be the sekond of the three signatures he needs to stake his klaim to Doma's throne for good. We're aktually lukky they're allowing us to leave since they pointed out quite kallously that it was Iole who officially killed their king.
Anya: Hate to interrupt "your ladyship" but we're clear for take off.
Very well Anya, get us in the air.
Anya: I'm sorry what was that? I was to busy waiting for my captain's orders.
::Completely ignoring her, Gwen continued::
So the question remains, what do we do now?

"First things first, we need to find a new port away from prying eyes. Since the Black Jack is well known, that crossed out alot of ports in the past. This incident has the others thinking we're the cause and wouldn't hesitate to either shoot us out of the sky or turn us in. That leaves only one place, and I was hoping we never had to go there for any reason."

::Gwen's shoulders jolted::
We kan't afford to be choosy. But we also kan't afford to be desperate. Not only are you proposing we flee all the way to the ninth world, you're suggesting we land in a city of the damned.

"Unless you know of someplace that will not either blow us out of the sky or sell us down the river to either Doma or Lindblum for any reason, we'll head there. I always put Burmecia as a last resort, and with the way things are in the world, we have reached the last."

::Clearly not liking the option, but knowing better than to argue with common sense, Gwen relented::
That still leaves us with the question of what our next move will be.

We hit them back.
::All eyes turned to Iole who up until that moment had remained totally silent. Most had just assumed her to have retreated into a shell of depression for the time being after being forced to kill someone who had been close to her. But in truth her mind had been busier than it had been in days. Not only had she been listening to the decisions being made, she'd been developing a strategy of her own::
You heard me. We're going to hit the Empire back, fast and hard.

"We don't go to Burmecia..." Retorted Oliver, smoldering in a shadowy corner near where Iole had huddled herself up, "I've 'eard t'e stories from me mum an' ot'er refugees. Even Clive spoke of t'at p'ace. Ye don't go to Burmecia. Hell, we'd be safer in Esthar, or Leah even, even wit' prying eyes. No one wou'd move against a Garden, not after the Ga'badia-Ba'amb war during t'e first Sorceresses war. I vote goin' back t'ere, or seek asylum in Galbadia. 'east we'd know Tricuetical won't follow us t'ere - not after Iole's trick in Esthar. Doubt t'e Count or Empire 'as strong diplomatic relations as well in t'e province." He folded his arms indignantly, "But do w'at ye want, said me piece."
After that, and Iole's decree of revenge. He spoke once more with his brow furled, "I'm all for it, but do we even know if t'is was an Empire attack? Cou'd be a fa'se f'ag - anyt'ing is possible wit' t'at dink August. Beside, us an w'at army? We s'ouldn't react till we know t'e w'ole picture."

I've considered the whole picture Ollie. But this isn't about revenge.
::Oliver looked like he was about to say something more, but Stefan placed a hand on his shoulder, watching Iole intently::
In fact Ollie, you're the one that gave me the idea when you said we should let the people choose. Well so far they've only had two choices presented to them; the Empire out of fear of attack, or the Count's promises of protection. I say we make a move. Whether it was an Empire attack or not, it's what the people are being led to believe and right now they're more afraid of them than ever. But suppose we caused an upset? Struck a blow to the Empire that would make them think twice about doing it again, and show the people there's more than just the Count who's brave enough to stand up to them? Someone without an aim for power, just a desire to protect them?

"Stefan, I'm startin' to 'ike ye - stop t'at." Oliver stated rather bluntly, making it difficult to discern if it was a playful jest or something more. "Ok, we 'it em back in a soft spot - w'at is t'ere soft spot? Somet'in t'at isn't a blatant suicide mission but wit' enoug' notoriety to send a message of hope."

Gwen, do you have anyone in your network that can pull off some reconaissance for us? Gwen: What do you think? With the snap of my finger I kan have a battalion or two ready in Tre-- No. Just reconaissance. One that can find us exactly the kind of mission Ollie just suggested. As for the Battalion, www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUdT1H-LIDs&feature=related::She stood up and moved to the center of the room:: Look around. What more of a team do we need? You're the Witch of Webs, the most cunning and devious Sorceress alive. ::Gwen didn't argue. In fact she seemed flattered:: Jas, you're the oldest Hero of Gaia. Kerion, I've never met a sharpshooter that can do what you do. Stefan, you're a Draconian with Wutai training, and Ollie you're the Hero of the People. The smasher of tyrants! When we were in the LPA, we were outmanned, outgunned, and outmatched but somehow we won. You know the most out of anyone here about winning an impossible battle with nothing to go on. So what do you guys say? I think it's time we stopped letting them have all the easy victories. I think it's time we show them just what we can do.

"I'm f'attered, my 'ove, but t'is is t'e Empire on Empire's soil-" Oliver spoke frankly, still a hint of uneasiness in his voice of the prospect of possibly facing an entire army on a battle field. He was experienced with guerilla tactics, not regular. "I'm gonna need to make a 'ot of bombs, aren't I?"

::Iole took him by the hand::
We'll need you for more than that. The best thing you can do once we get Gwen's intel is to put together a strategy that fits each one of our talents. I have that faith in you. Think you can have faith in me? Just for a little longer?
